This was one of the friendliest private RV Parks we have ever been to. The spaces are spaced out enough, the place is spotless, the pool, laundry, pickle ball, clubhouse, shuffle board, corn hole are all well kept. We enjoyed our walks down to the boat ramp for sunsets where you can launch your boats, kayaks or canoes. There is also a small shaded dog park down by the boat launch area for our fur babies to enjoy. We met so many friendly people here who made us feel like forever friends from day one! We loved that if you do extended stays here people kept their sites looking beautiful with lovely plants, etc. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are very accommodating! We will be sure to visit again if we ever are in need of an extended stay and highly recommend this gem!

I haven't stayed at this location in the past a few times and was happy. It must be under new management. I rented a 2 bedroom unit. I have 2 service dogs. They are not at all helpful. Saying only one per unit. The second bedroom doesn't matter. So basically my elderly mother has to be in her own unit. I've brought 3 dogs in the past each time in a one bedroom unit. No issues. If I had not booked nonrefundable I would have canceled. I will never stay here again.

Then on the 4th night of our stay we got in late and encountered cockroach in the toilet. When we looked around the bathroom we saw several more. They were small but there we several visible. We didn't sleep well at all but had to stay in the room. When we got u a couple hours later we saw a large cockroach just above the toilet paper holder on the side of the sink vanity. We called Vacasa right then and explained the situation and sent the representative pictures to substantiate our issues. He was helpful and told us the local property manager would be contacting us. We packed our belongings as quickly as possible and reserved a hotel room in Sarasota. Our last full day of vacation was a bust. The local agent could not be reached for several hours. When she did call around 11:30 am she told us she saw no evidence of cockroaches she told us that the picture of the large cockroach in the bathroom didn't look like anywhere in the unit. We told her the location of the other cockroaches and she continued to tell us she could find none at all. She told us the room is rented continuously and they never experienced cockroaches prior to this. She continued to state that she could find none. We felt as if she implied we were lying. She didn't use the word lie or liar but it felt implied. We felt very insulted. We have been visiting Siesta Key the same week for several years and we always stayed at the same place. This time we tried a new place and now we regret that we didn't stay where we had in the past. we had an a legitimate issue and it was handled poorly by the local Vacasa property agent. She is crediting us for the last day but she still insulted us by the implication that we were lying. We won't use Vacasa again. We feel bad for the next guests to experience the cockroaches because it is only a matter of time before someone else sees the cockroaches as well. We stayed in cottage 4.

Most recently we stayed in August for our family vacation and rented all 4 units. What a wonderful time! Located a stones throw away from the semi private beach & within walking distance to anything and everything you need in the village. You absolutely cannot beat the location! Especially with children. Its so easy taking them to and from the beach especially when a bathroom break is needed or something forgotten. The units are all decorated with a beachy vibe, well maintained and clean. The pool, grilling area, outdoor shower and laundry is great,and management is very attentive and accomodating.

In my case, I did a thorough survey of the entire property and rig. This way, I could understand what I was getting into. The onsite broker was extremely helpful, and had a lot of knowledge of the history of this particular site. I considered the age of the rig, and the desirability of the lot it was on, and it became a no-brainer for me to purchase, and cosmetically renovate to my liking. The staff that manages and maintains the property certainly have their hands full, especially during the winter when the park fills up. I have had nothing but clear, and pleasurable experiences with both departments. I can only assume that the 1 star reviewer was either misled by the previous owner, or did not do any inspection/due diligence on what they were buying. That is no fault of the park. Hurricane Ian wreaked some havoc for sure on all properties in the area, but we came out of it reasonably unscathed. I only live an hour away, so this is more of a fortress of solitude for us, rather than a destination to escape the North for months at a time. I find the property to be exceptionally quiet in noise and cleanliness, and in my opinion, well worth the park fees. I am already where I would take this 5th Wheel in Florida, and I don't have to buy a truck, or move it around!

I moved in on November 2021, since I bought my Park model I have had to replace the air…read moreconditioning some of the plumbing my outside electric box and meter almost caught on fire because the inspector of the park did not even check the main outlet which the plug for my home goes into. I have had to get all new appliances because the ones that were in here did not work properly and they were a mess, the person I bought it off of did not do anything she just grabbed her stuff and left a mess. The roof leaks which was not disclosed by any means on my contract and on my contract it also said that they were supposed to install fixtures for washer and dryer which they did not, and I was supposed to start moving my stuff in in October and gave me the runaround about the key which I found out I was already paying the electric during the month of October. Now I got a notice in the mail as well as all of the tenants did that are lot fees are going up $75 this year which I was told before I sign the papers by the office that the increases are usually only around $20. I love Florida but I have been lied to by so many people down here selling things and fixing things that I'm beginning to wonder if it's even worth living down here. It's very sad because there's wonderful people that live here and I have made some of the best friends ever. And don't be fooled if you do go to rent in here during the winter it's so packed you can't use the facilities

She argued with me about how many days I "HAD" to book, she argued with me about whether November was a low season or high season, she informed me that she doesn't even work for the condos...i guess she volunteers. And this was after leaving several voice mails and an email. I could tell by her voice when she did call me back that she was frustrated. Informed me in a hasty manner that the offices were closed until May '25 and that the property is in the process of being sold. Which to my offense...I had no idea! I just wanted to change my reservation. Then she hung up on me. When I responded via text message she told me she will not deal with rude people and that she would cancel my reservation. I guess I'm rude because I called out her nasty attitude. She refused to give me the owners name. I guess this place does not need our business which is sad. I love SK but will take my business somewhere else. I would NOT recommend Sandbox on the Beach for any future stays.
