We stayed in the Ringling bungalow with its own private deck with propane BBQ facing feet from the lagoon. They offered free beach towels, beach umbrellas and beach chairs for our use. The kitchen is equipment with the basic things we needed. The beautiful beaches, stores, restaurants were nearby. We had a very memorable stay and plan on booking next year's anniversary in this sweet escape. We highly recommend this quiet, peaceful getaway.

Our cottage was clean and cold when we arrived. We enjoyed the dock overlooking the lagoon as well as the pool during one of our lazy days when we weren't on the go. The kitchen was on the small side (one person at a time to fit comfortably cooking food or doing the dishes), and the bathroom lacked a fan; but these were very minor quibbles in the overall experience. We felt very comfortable and safe while we were going about our time there. We would definitely return and have already recommended it to friends!

Nothing else needed. Park right at your door & walk in to a first or second floor unit. Only 16 units total, all with direct beach view & access. You can view the individual condo units online and chose the one you want. Flexibility to rent a few nights or a week. We rented unit 71 for 3 nights. We preferred 1st floor as you have a small patio on the front and back. #71 is one bedroom but has sofa pull-out bed if desired. The owner has it fully engineered with 3 ceiling fans, USB ports, storage everywhere, kitchen with all dish-ware, 2 TV's, plus all the little items you may have forgotten to bring. Well thought out for many little conveniences. Bonus, it is only a 7 minute walk to the village where there are many shops, restaurants, etc., but little parking available day or night. We walked to the Summer House and the Cottage and recommend both.

This place always does a great job, there's a big swimming pool with a broad, super-clean deck that always had lounges for everyone that wanted to take in the sun, sleep or get deep into the novel you brought on vacation. Across Beach Road is a private access to the famed Siesta Beach allowing quick access for walkers,shellers, or just carry the provided beach chair down and just sit to watch the world go by from a uniquely stress-free vantage point. The units are tasteful,and we've found can comfortably bivouac 6 grownups ( as long as they behave like grownups). Our unit had a kitchen completely equipped to prepare a Thanksgiving feast, but our culinary requirements were only what's needed for a few breakfasts, and prepping food for the barbecue out back. That BBQ area is really nice, and sometimes becomes an impromptu gathering area for guests/residents to finish the day, and converse and confer over the grills with a couple of beers . The top advantage to me, is the broad open air balcony, that begs one to sit and watch the beach, the road, and the gulf while having coffee, or watching the sunset ( a SK tradition ) before starting the evening's activities. A few of the other advantages of Tivoli are its proximity to Siesta Village , a flat half mile walk, and only a couple hundred yards to the public beach. The grounds are lovely, always immaculate, and the place has an on-site manager. This year we met Wesley, new to this manager post, but a seasoned professional of the trade, and were so impressed with how well he could navigate us through any issue when we required help. He's been a solid addition to the entire Tivoli experience. We booked the same weeks for next year on checkout, and already looking forward to another great getaway.

Very nice communications with the staff prior to our stay and during our stay. I spoke with Cindy on the phone and was told about everything I needed to know up front. Donna and Cindy who are in-charge at the lobby were helpful, nice and informative. Their maintenance staff members are also very helpful. As guests at this condominium, you must follow the rules. They really keep the place super clean. Cleanliness, quiet, courteous to other guests, are part of the deal. We enjoyed this place so much that I didn't want to leave. We stayed here for 10 nights and we got one night free (not sure whether this is an on-going promotion); we had the best deal. Hubby barbecued once and we had the best meal. Supermarket Publix is just across the street so we didn't go hungry here. The building has 2 sides, facing the ocean and facing the street. Although we picked the one facing the street, the unit was so amazing: beautiful kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom and a bedroom (one-bedroom unit). We had enough towels. The unit provides a beach umbrella. This place has more than what we ask for, so it's a bonus to see that everything is well-prepared for us. We were on the beach and the pool everyday. The pool's depth is between 4 and 9 ft. Best beach time is evening when the tide is low and 100% visibility. Morning around 10ish is nice to swim in the ocean too (clear water) but early AM the water is slightly rough (summer time). I didn't feel that hot when I was in the ocean before noon. We enjoyed talking to guests who are regulars and some guests told us that they are from Florida but come here for vacation many times, cool! It is a quiet building with not a lot of people crowding one place. It's private and the beach is clean, unpolluted with beautiful water. I was hoping to swim with dolphins like I did last year when we stayed in Lido Beach but they might have come in while I was upstairs. That's ok, next time. We'd like to come back to this same condominium and enjoy a beautiful sunset every evening. And yes I got beautiful seashells from this area yay! Hope to do this again next year because Longboat Key has been our regular destination that we have to do every year. Magnificent location and vacation rental. Thank you all! Highly recommended.

We rented unit 5 for our spring break stay March 26-April 2 2022. It looks like they have updated…read morethe units and that part is nice and the price was too good to be true for being close to the village and beach. Couches/ chairs were old and gross and needed sheets on them. Location is a 5 star but accommodations w roaches isn't even a 1 star. I let the owner Paul know as soon as we saw the roaches we had a problem. We counted over 20 and they were out day or night so it was not just a little problem. I own several rentals myself so I'm pretty understanding but it was an infestation. After complaining a couple days he finally came in to see and we showed him where they were coming in the bathroom and kitchen. They were caught all over our tooth brushes and even after he filled the open holes in the wall they still got in. He basically said it was in our unit the the one above... I have never ever left a bad review but to this day we have not received our deposit back and I just want people who are looking for a nice place close to the village to be aware.

So next time, we will definitely bring some food to grill ( also we had a kitchen in our room, so we could have cooked or prepped some food) The beach is just across the street. We woke up early to watch the sun rise. When walked around the village which is fun of fun bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed the fun and relaxing atmosphere. We are looking forward to the next time. :)

She argued with me about how many days I "HAD" to book, she argued with me about whether November was a low season or high season, she informed me that she doesn't even work for the condos...i guess she volunteers. And this was after leaving several voice mails and an email. I could tell by her voice when she did call me back that she was frustrated. Informed me in a hasty manner that the offices were closed until May '25 and that the property is in the process of being sold. Which to my offense...I had no idea! I just wanted to change my reservation. Then she hung up on me. When I responded via text message she told me she will not deal with rude people and that she would cancel my reservation. I guess I'm rude because I called out her nasty attitude. She refused to give me the owners name. I guess this place does not need our business which is sad. I love SK but will take my business somewhere else. I would NOT recommend Sandbox on the Beach for any future stays.

Yes, it's true, this place is not fancy or flashy, but it has everything you need to be content and happy. We stayed in unit 192, which is upstairs, door 3. Hot water, incredibly fast internet, directv, a kitchen, two beds, and a comfortable couch. Also, it has very cold air conditioning and incredible views.. Not to mention that you're about 400-500 feet from the beach. I will say this if you have a severe handicap. I would request the rooms downstairs. Also, there should be a couple of 'watch your step' signs, as there's a lot of levels that are uneven outside. Other than that, I really have no complaints. Checking in is at 3 PM. But we were able to get in about an hour early.. We found everything neat and smelling good, honestly, I would say overall, it's worth the price.
