Larry Duke came up to the truck with a bad attitude and disrespectful from the start. Stating we didn't stop at the front office. There was no sign stating so. Also telling us we went down the wrong way. Directions were also not stated. They have fabricated how everything happened yesterday to make their actions seem "okay" or "justified". I lived out their 6 years ago. But this whole scenario just happened!! My review is still applicable as this interaction just happened! Larry Duke was yelling me yesterday. There were free snacks in the office and they set us up with a cool fire pit and firewood already at our campsite. There is a nice pool on property that we did not visit and to catch and release ponds. The park even handles propane refills, and will pick up your propane tank. Fill it and bring it back. The park was very quiet and well maintained although you can hear some red noise from Hwy 231. We did not take advantage of the bathhouse so I cannot comment, but there is only one available. This is not an issue for us because of the full sewer hook up.

People should remember that before posting a bad review after choosing a park right off an interstate. That being said the further away the site the less likely you will be bothered by the noise. Vonda the owner is a very hard working person and does a wonderful job maintaining the grounds. She has a few pull through sites and three of them open up to a beautiful grassy area with shade trees. We chose one off these. All with full hook up. We are lucky enough to trust that our dogs would behave if off leash for short periods while we were outside with them. We have stayed three nights both times and just enjoyed the simplicity of the park. If you are looking for laundry facilities, showers and a pool this isn't your place.... If it is reasonable prices in a lovely setting is then give it a try.

This site is also right near the playground so was easy to watch the kids. Full site hook ups with 30/50 amp electric and sewer as well as cable tv. Only thing is terrible cell service and WiFi. But if you're camping you don't need it. Has good size dog run. Very peaceful at this campground and would highly recommend it.

From Rick in the store... to the on-site support by Deloris (hilarious and sharp) and her husband Fred, we enjoyed it. They were all friendly, accommodating and we will be back when it cools off some to rent the pontoon and fish on Gantt Lake. This park, it's staff and management continue to make improvements and it's one to visit and you will feel very welcomed. Some TV movie streaming issues yet they have cable, and otherwise a perfect trip and a very good venue for clubs, rallies or music events.

The lake was more like pond. I think we paid more than we should have but had to stay somewhere. We were supposed to stay 3 days but left a day early. The Park Manager was very nice. The office smelled like cat pee. And last but not least the need to remove the tattered American Flag and replace it.

The lake is serene and relaxing. The area around the park is wide open spaces and quiet! The owners and their staff treat you like you're family. The restaurant serves up home cooking and they give a discount to campers! When we arrived, we felt like we were visiting our cousins! They go above and beyond to make your stay as comfortable as possible! We look forward to returning and seeing the progress as renovations take place for the bath house, mini golf etc.... But meanwhile, the full hookups, restaurant, lake, pool and quiet relaxation make for a very pleasant getaway!

My husband and I are traveling a we happened to sea this on our phones. Our original place we were going to stay fell-through. So we got on our phone scrambling to find a place to stay, it was getting late. There was Prairie Creek. We were only going to stay one night, we will be staying a total of 4 nights. Very nice, clean, quiet and serene, beautiful any way you look at it. A great plus, restrooms, showers, laundry, hookups (electric and water), cement pads for RV's, tables, fire-pits, grills, docks, boat launches, tent spaces and more. Gotta come check it out if you haven't been here. I give this a 4 1/2 star because no sewer hookups. It's a hassle to hook up your Trailer and take it to the dump-station. So, I guess it gets a 5 star.

Rules say that you don't need a permit to fish but you have to pay a pittance for the privilege.
