In this case, unable to handle getting dumped by his ex, Plaintiff - Mr. Atchuthan Sriskandarajah (an attorney himself) - filed a defamation complaint against his ex & two other parties. The complaint was rather stupid and had very little substance. Mr. Lee Berlik represented the Defendants and absolutely crushed the Plaintiff. In fact, during discovery, when the Plaintiff realized that the case was backfiring on him, it was hilarious to see the Plaintiff cave in so quickly from his original request of $2.5 million down to 10,000 dollars. In the end, Plaintiff did not get even a penny & his case didn't make it past the demurrer. Plaintiff even tried going to the supreme court but the supreme court did not even want to listen to such a stupid complaint. I have had an ongoing open case with DCSE for arrearages in the tens of thousands. Rather than see the trial through she opted to settle for less than half of what is owed. She did not file what was asked in the amount of dollars owed and left it as 50% of all child related expenses. The father is now behind 8 months once again which always leads back to court. This is what they want, so you will continue to retain them and spend your life savings. Then a court hearing was scheduled in November of last year for August of this year giving this girm ample time to prepare. Once again I could not reach them for over a month asking how do we prepare. Discovery was due and instead of admitting to failure they decided to drop my case one month before the trial date. I was forced to retain a real attorney however the damage was done. Since no evidence was submitted to the courts, trial was postponed and removed from the docket. They didn't even have a file for my case. They sent over next to nothing when requested by my new firm. Now we have to re-submit filings and most likely wait another 8 months for a trial date available. Save your time and hard earned money for a firm who takes your childs best interest seriously!!

When I went to alert the firm that this had happened and that they should put such notices in an envelope, the receptionist or paralegal was incredibly rude, and said "let me cut you off there and ask you to put your concerns in an email to....." This is vile, unprofessional, and unethical. If you want your information left on someone's door for neighbors to be able to see, go with this firm. I would rather hire someone with some discretion and decorum that would be expected of an attorney's office.
