If I could give this company zero stars I would. They sent a tech out Friday 2/27 to assess my unit. When the tech left unit was working great, this lasted for less than 6 hours, mind you I paid over $300 for an hour and half service. Called the guy who serviced my unit same night (Friday), got no answer and no call return. Called Campbell Cooling today Monday 3/2 spoke w/ Jamie. Very unprofessional. Was yelling at me, cutting me off mid-sentence, couldn't complete one sentence without interruption. Today I am being told replace the entire unit quoted $8k. Friday I was told I needed 3 parts. What changed between Friday & Monday? I will never recommend this company to anyone. I would use these guys again in a heartbeat. I was overdue for a tune-up and my water heater wasn't working quite right. A friend recommended Campbell and I'm so glad she did. Three years ago my 35 year old HVAC was having issues and a friend recommended Campbell Cooling. They came out, had to replace a part and the HVAC has been smooth ever since. Now my furnace stopped (no heat). I called the original installer to come look at it and he said he couldnt fix it and gave me a ballpark on how much to replace the whole thing and would send me an official estimate in a day or two. That was two weeks ago. So I called Campbell Cooling and they came right out, diagnosed the problem, replaced the part and now I have heat! I also asked for an estimate to replace the furnace, HVAC and water heater and got it within 30 minutes and it was for $1100 less than the other place with better products. Where to start. Late for appointments, I had to call them multiple times to make sure they received documents. Their estimate was off by thousands of dollars. After telling me their estimate was wrong, it took them two weeks to get me another estimate. I received their original estimate on a Friday night. I replied to estimate asking a question and didn't hear back from them. When I called to ask about it and make sure they got it I was told they hadn't. I assured them I had sent it. They did find and said they didn't see it because I had sent it on a Saturday. Horrible experience!!! read more

My 28 year old central AC was out of gas and had froze up. This happened about 5 years ago as well. Time to replace. I called Campbell Cooling last Monday and they came out the next day to evaluate. They sent me an estimate the very next day, which i signed. They then called me Thursday night and offered to do the work the very next day (Friday). Bottom line, less than one business week from initial call to installation complete. The tech's were prompt, professional and knowledgeable. My AC just stopped working gave Campbell a call Left a VM and the next day first thing I got a call back. Told me they could get somebody out there today between 11 and 1. The technician was right on time got here at 11:30. (Actually the office called me and told me he was on his way I turned around and he was in my driveway). He was professional and friendly. He didn't seem to mind me sitting over his shoulder basically watching him for my own benefit. Great conversation diagnosed the problem right away. Explained what he was doing. He replaced the part cleaned up and went on his way. I will definitely use them again and I highly recommend them to anyone. The absolute worst customer service! I called this company after 3 friends raved about how amazing they are to deal with. Sadly, I did not encounter that same amazing customer service. I am appalled at how I was spoken to. I called on Tuesday 7/28/20 at 7:30am and spoke to Patrick. He was very pleasant and I was told that he would have someone at my home by noon to service my AC unit. I cleared my schedule and was awaiting service as we are in the middle of a heat wave. Fast forward to 2pm- I call and explain to the first secretary that no one has arrived. I get placed on hold, only for another secretary to ask me what the problem is. I explain that I would like to know if anyone will be coming out today. I once again get placed on hold, only for a gentleman to answer the phone who was beyond irritated and state "it's hot out nothing we can do about it" and then proceeds to hang up on me!! That's how you treat a customer...a first time customer no less?? If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and find yourself another company to deal with. I got a quick call back and a quick appt and quick diagnosis. I have a major problem with the amount of labor the tech charged versus how long he actually worked. He was at the house 25 min, drove to Hartford to get a part and back 12 minutes then took 45 to install part. He charged for 2 hrs labor at 130/hr. My math concludes he overcharged for 38 minutes. I called and got no real help. I emailed and never heard back. I cant recommend this company. read more

Where do I start... this company is pretty amazing. I guess we all get use to mediocre service because that seems to be the norm these days.. but then every once in a while you come across a great company and a great experience....My interactions with Campbell Cooling was just that GREAT, fantastic and easy. First thing I noticed was they didn't transfer me to 1/2 dozen people before I got to the "right guy". Because at Campbell the person that answered the phone was the right "guy"gal" . You know how annoying it is having to explain the problem to each person thinking they can or will help but instead transfer you or put you on hold forever.... But not Campbell! Joann answered the phone, listened asked questions and got me the help I needed quickly...she promised a tech would be to my house within the hour.. When the tech did arrive (within the hour :)) he was polite, knowledgeable and professional! He took his time and even waited a bit to be extra sure that the boiler stayed on... wow! I highly recommend Campbell Cooling.. they are top notch and i'm so happy that i found them... and the price was right! read more

These guys came right when I called and the person who scheduled us stated the service rates right up front, which I appreciated, and they were also very reasonable. We were expecting bad news since our central air came with our house. They quickly assessed the issue and after looking a little more closely found a faulty wire. They fixed it in less than an hour! Not only did they not oversell us service we didn't need, they saved our old AC system for another season. Perfect example of working smarter. And also very nice guys! read more

12/2/14- I came home from work and noticed the house was a bit cool. Blower fan was running and cool air was coming from the vents., . Having bought a service plan with a my current oil company based out EH, to service furnace, I called them ...I was on hold for 20 minutes! So I called Campbell cooling as they put in my new central air compressor in the spring... And I know they also service furnace and sell oil as well. I received a call back in 5 minutes and Patrick was at my house in 15 minutes working on the issue, the owner also called to make sure I was being taken care of.... Now that's service!!! They fixed the problem with in the hour. The following morning I called the company I had been using and did speak to customer service, as I wanted to cancel the balance of my service plan and oil delivery, based on the service., she advised that the loyalty dept would be calling me...well I'm still waiting.... I have now moved over to Campbell for oil delivery as well as their pricing is very competitive, and the service is outstanding! I would highly recommend :) Lina read more

I have breathing issues as do my 2 pug dogs with short snouts. So, when my AC stopped working and I needed service, I asked a friend for recommendations. I was given Campbell's information. I recall they came to my home promptly, said I needed a new furnace (??). I agreed and the next day a new furnace was installed.Additionally, my son wanted to help me out by paying the bill. Campbell agreed to accepting his credit card. The furnace was installed and Campbell had a hard time reaching my son. That's when Campbell became very "funny". He proceeded to harass me and I kept politely referring him back to my son plus explained why he was hard to reach sometimes. A couple of weeks later, I was in my son's office where I work part-time. Campbell literally burst into the office and startled me. He was angry and looking for payment. I had to call out for help because I became frightened. Thankfully, my son was in and paid the jerk. Campbell left but saw me through a window from the outside and proceeded to bang on the window, scream at me and make obscene gestures. I am a female disabled senior citizen so decided my best course of action was to ignore him. So, the moral to this story is to pay very quickly or you will get the sh$t scared out of you by a very nasty jerk! By the way, my AC still does not work well and I believe I was scammed. read more

This company is on the ball. Called on a Monday, technician scheduled in for Tuesday. The Service Technician (Patrick) was courteous, on time, and very helpful. He went the extra mile to make sure my ancient boiler and heating equipment was running probably better or as well as it ever was designed to. Superior Service! Called Campbell during the past heat wave when my central air broke down... Even though they were booked solid, they came after hours and fixed my problem. The techican was very professional. The fee was reasonable and they didnt even charge me the overtime rate. My kids and I were able to get a good nights sleep in a cool house ! I did not have a good experience with Campbell Heating and Cooling. It was disappointing to say the least. They were hired to pull a permit and install duck work for my home. The permit was pulled only after I inquired about it. The duck work was installed, however half of my home does not receive air flow. I contacted the company requesting service and was told by their employee that there was an issue with the duck work, he wasn't sure how to fix it and he would have his manager contact me. He also believed an additional visit would be needed. After I did not hear from anyone, I began calling the company. Our only communication was a bill. Three months later I finally get a call back. After going back and forth with Jaime, no solution has been decided and he hung up the phone on me. I would not recommend anyone use this company. Although they were able to provide me with a quick response, I would prefer to wait and have the job completed correctly. read more
