I was seen at Campbell Urgent for Flu like symptoms. The staff was excellent! Bianca helped with my paperwork. So friendly and attentive. Sam the MA administered my flu test (not fun). Sam was gentle and explained everything as she did it! and Jen the PA listened to my symptoms and recommended a plan that included medicine and rest! I appreciated all the wonderful care I received. Was very satisfied with my urgent issue that I went in there for. Went in at 9pm on a Thursday and was taken care of effectively. The doctor I saw (name held for privacy) was very helpful even though he couldn't "help me." Let me explain. I was suffering from some abdominal issues. Initially, he couldn't say for sure what it was because he didn't want to give me the wrong information since he wasn't my primary care doctor. However.......he was nice enough to let me ask the questions and determine what it WASN'T. It gave me the peace of mind to go on a far away trip from my family because we were able to delete the most serious possibilities. He also was able to take blood from me, test it, and give me a "it most likely could be this" type of result, which I was also happy with. Not sure why this place has some bad reviews, because they definitely assisted me effectively. read more

I was refused to be seen with my diabetic alert dog (service animal). The unprofessionalism and lack of compassion from the woman working at the front desk was truly baffling. The doctor did nothing to investigate the situation other than telling me to be quiet as my conversation with her escalated. I came in here as a walk-in to be tested for Covid-19. From the moment I walked in, I was treated in a friendly and professional manner. No one treated me as if they were afraid of me in case I did have Covid. I was a bit nervous, but Bianca and Meshia made me feel very comfortable, answering all of my questions without ever making me feel inferior for asking them. I can say the same thing for Dr. Ryan, the P.A. He was incredibly knowledgeable in how each of the tests work and offered me the best way to get tested for my case. When I was hesitant because I was possibly pushing it, he truly listened to me and talked it out with me without judgement. I'm so glad I followed his advice! DO NOT GO HERE! There are NO doctors on staff, and the P.A.'s are incompetent! They didn't even bother checking my symptoms, and they diagnosed me incorrectly and I had to go to another Urgent Care. Even worse, the receptionist is the rudest and most abrasive person I've ever met in my life. She doesn't know her job, and she literally screams at you when you walk in the door. If you want to be treated with an ounce of courtesy or professionalism, go somewhere else! read more

I came here for a COVID test and overall the experience was pretty good. My only complaint was that I had to wait in my car for about an hour and a half after my appointment time, but the staff was very kind and apologetic about that. They seemed to have a pretty good system to get people in and out. The PA stopped in to ask if I had any questions before my test and the lady who administered it was very comforting. I went to Campbell Urgent Care recently after 3 days of being sick for COVID-19 testing. You wait in your car for the entire process. Danielle took my vitals and performed the test. She was so kind and helpful and answered so many questions I had about the test and virus. Dr Ragdha filled up to see if I had any follow up questions. I have been here 3 times. Once for a dog bite and it was taken care of properly, but recently for a sore throats and flu like symptoms. The doctor on duty clearly didn't care about the fact that the flu has been going around (and has taken the lives of 2+ people in my neighborhood alone), and told me they were out of flu swap tests and that she's "pretty sure I don't have it." I tested positive for strep, was prescribed amoxicillin, and encountered a bad rash in my mouth 2 days later. Went back to the urgent care to have the PA tell me the rash was from "drinking hot liquids." Called my primary care physician an hour away who laughed at my "diagnosis." Primary care physician said I'm likely allergic to the antibiotic, prescribed me a different medicine, and told me not to go back. read more

Very bad experience here! They did not want to do Covid rapid testing for me after I arrived at 6:20p and they close at 8p (walk-ins were welcomed). Online it states that you can do a walk in until 8p. I was treated unfair and the 2 ladies that I spoke with was NOT helpful after I told them I drove very far to get this test done and called. They did not want to help me at all for Covid testing. I will not recommend this place and I am reporting them as they should not be able to treat people this way especially during a time like this! Of course all the other people in there cars were white and leave with a smile and NO ONE came to my car to talk with me after stating that I was in my car outside. 2 people looked at me who worked in the office and NOT once came to my car. read more

We are a family that used Royal Birmingham Medical Center for our urgent care needs previously. Campbell UC is like a palace in comparison. It is clean, has equipment that looks like it's from this decade, staff is friendly & PROFESSIONAL, etc. I took my six year old in this past weekend when he had a cartwheel gone wrong and I was worried he may have broken his thumb. We waited just long enough for me to fill out the two page contact info paperwork and give them our insurance card. No more than ten minutes. A nurse/assistant took us back to a small exam room where we waited about 5 minutes before the doctor came in to see us. The nurse/medical assistant had his history pulled up from all his Beaumont doctor visits, so they must be connected to the Beaumont system? It was really nice to not have to fill that information all out, especially if this was a urgent visit. A young male doctor came in a few minutes later and took a look at it, told us he didn't think it was a break but would X-ray to be sure. Five minutes later, the X-ray was done and his thumb was splinted. I am so used to doctors taking at least half the day. Campbell UC checked him out, X-rayed, and treated in under an hour. Impressive! We will come here next time, for sure. Just hopefully not too soon ;-) read more

Awful communication- made on line appt- gave them phone number- I was to wait for a text telling me a time when to arrive- never received a text- showed up and was told I was late- WRONG- they didn't text as indicated- they charged $150 for rapid COVID test- told they don't email results- they will call in 2-3 hours and I can then pick up the results- Surprise- I received no phone call- went up 4 hours after appt and was given results- No one ever answers the phone 8 am or 8 pm no one answers the phone-- there are 100 better options than this place- stay away read more

This facility is relatively new for a clinic, and so are the magazines out in the waiting room. and the waiting isn't that bad. I waited for 2 hours and there were 3 or 4 patients went before me so i guess you can bring a movie here to watch, unless you wanna read the magazines from half a year ago and learn about bradgelina's relationship. Everything seems reasonably priced, especially if you are poor like me and don't have insurance. co-pay for the first-time-and-no-insurance patient is 85. the nurse judged me by rolling her eyes at me because I said I smoke and I don't plan to quit anytime soon. then the doctor showed up and he was too friendly, i suggest you ask him bring in a nurse with him if you are a girl. and my lab test was 10. then they typed me a prescription and i was on my way to go. overall most things came expected. I hope I won't have to be here again but if I have to I guess I would. read more

I am so over this place. I have tried multiple times. Ultimately, it should be a crime to pay this much to see a doctor who 2/3 times I've gone in for Bronchitis and he didn't bother to look at my throat, in my ears or feel glands. He performs zero physical exam, then stands across the room like you have the plague. you'll see him for 2 minutes and leave wondering why the hell you just paid $100 to be told you need claritin and nasonex when you're allergies aren't bothering you. He's misdiagnosed and under treated me twice. Now I'm out $250!!! Because a week after seeking treatment with ZERO improvement. I had to go to another doctor who looked at me bewildered when I explained I was diagnosed with bronchitis and NOT given antibiotics. So seriously, don't waste your time or money. Love this facility! Clean conditions, friendly staff (for example, the MA Amanda was very knowledgeable and helpful) and the doctors listen and get right to the problem at hand. I have used them on a few different occasions and they always deliver consistently. Yes, they are slightly busier than other locations, but there is a reason for that, they are good. Some things are worth the wait and they are MUCH faster than the ER! I've read the other reviews and honestly I've never experienced anything close to a bad experience, can't please everyone I guess?!. Keep up the good work Campbell Urgent Care. I would NEVER send anyone here. Not only was the receptionist rude the care of treatment was a joke. The staff and the doctors could care less about patient care; they were more concerned about playing on the internet and listening to music as I watched them all waiting to be seen. I have been receiving bills from their billing department since Jan 2015. Each month I call the billing department and explain to the same girl that I have the receipt and that I paid in full at time of visit (cash). I have also shown them the copy and emailed to them. They do NOT care .... instead each month I call and each month I am told the same excuse. There is NEVER a manager to speak with because he is always "out of the office." It took 45 minutes to see the doctor although there were only two patients before me. The equipment look incredibly out dated. The doctor didn't give a diagnosis, he just referred us to different lab. There was no point of even coming in at all. I do not recommend this place at all. read more

Always a great time at Campbell urgent care. Been here twice. First time, I had to get my knee drained. I don't have insurance, but it cost $200. I don't know the going rate, but Google generally had this at about $400. So that was dope. Went here today because I threw out my back lifting a shit ton of chorizo. I was basically in and out (by Doctor standards of course ;). The staff have been very personable, friendly, and funny, while still being professional. I can't wait to get really sick or have another work related injury to come hang out with my homies at the clinic. Also, there's lots of pamphlets to read in the rooms. I learned a little bit more about gout, acid reflux, and depression today. I highly recommend getting injured and coming here. read more

At 3:15pm they handed me back the paper and said I have to come back tomorrow because they don't take anyone past 3:00pm!! Visited this place this past Sunday. Terrible experience. After waiting for 3 hrs I saw a "doctor" who saw how horrible my cough was, I told him I was coughing up brown and green, and my chest and throat were burning badly his answer.... "You have the Flu". He didn't even swab my mouth to confirm it. Just stood there with his hands in his pocket and said there's not much I could do just need to rest and take Tamflu( I did not get that script filled and I'm glad) I left there with no answers, time wasted, and out 50$ Went home took mucinex which worked for a day then I woke up even worse today everything was intensified especially my painful cough which was so bad I was embarrassed to work. That being said I left work to go straight to an urgent care I had been treated at before and there diagnosed with bronchitis and strep throat. Hmmmm.....doesn't sound like the flu. They gave me the proper care and scripts I needed to start a PROPER recovery and I only waited 15 mins. The doctor shook his head when I told him they didn't even test me for the flu. read more

This urgent care is cleaner than most. The people are always nice. Be prepared to show ID and your insurance card - even if you were there the day before! They do upcharge for "after hours" visits... which means you pay an additional $25 if you walk in at 5:00pm or after - that bill comes to your house after they bill insurance, so don't be surprised. Regardless, they are nice, but often you see a Nurse Practicioner, not an M.D. Parking is easy which is a huge plus for me. They have an online "call ahead" reservation system that works 50% of the time, so beware. read more

My 27 year old daughter was in this clinic this morning. She had been in Royal Oak Beaumont having her baby 2 months prior. She discovered sores on her body, a couple small ones, "pimple-like" but dark purple. She squeezed them and got a core of puss out of them. Then she got a huge 2-inch in diameter spot that took up a huge portion of the back of her leg. It is really deep. I lanced it and got some puss out. I put Thieves Essential Oil on it. She was in a lot of pain so I didn't try getting it all out. I saw pics on Google of MRSA and that's what it looks like. She went to this clinic this morning and they would not even test it to see what it was or lance it to get it out. They gave her a scrip for Bactrim and a topical cream. As big as it is, this will not touch it. She would have had to go to another doctor later on down the line. When asking the doctor what it was, he didn't know. When asking him what to do for it, he didn't know. He wouldn't even do a blood test. I found out that lemongrass is what she needs for MRSA. Kills 100% of the virus in everyone treated with it. I happen to have some so that's what she's getting. My daughter has Medicaid and Medicaid doesn't pay much. I think that's why he didn't want to take the time with her she needed. read more

Very clean newer looking urgent care. The staff was very friendly. I was seen and treated very quickly. I went in cause I twisted my ankle and was in some real pain. I just wanted to get s quick X-ray to make sure that I didn't break anything. Who know at a urgent care I was going to be seen by a doctor that is a sports medicine specialist. That was a real bonus for me and something that most urgent cares don't have. The doctors name was Dr. Faris. He spent some real time with me looking over my X-rays thoroughly and explaining everything to me. I left with complete confidence that I was diagnosed correctly and I didn't have to wait long. I will for sure recommend this place to others. read more

I'm not the type of person that goes much for medical treatment. Fortunately I'm really healthy. But I just could not kick this cold for a couple weeks and knew I needed bigger guns. So I went there. Walked right in. No waiting. I was the only patient. I did not have a doctor. I had a nurse practitioner. Way better! She listened to me, actually listened to me. Kathy. She treated me just fine for the never-ending sinus issue. But to top it off, she heard my migraine story and was able to give me advice that I've never been given before in a decade of this annoying, debilitating problem. She probably saved me hundreds of dollars and she gave me the chance of ending the migraines altogether. I'm hoping it works. Just started today. All because she took the time to actually listen to me. I liked the place! I don't plan to ever go back to my own doctor ever again. read more

The receptionist Tiara is very rude, in person and over the phone. She is consistently rude and condescending over the phone and in person. If you need urgent care, you certainly don't need to deal with such uncouth behavior. I have insurance, pay my co-pay and am always courteous to the recep. What is bad is that you dread calling for ANY reason knowing you will be popped off to or spoken to rudely or in a condescending manner. Then I asked why every time I come in you have to copy my Id and insurance card again. She states office rules and tells me to sit down. You can always count on a smart comment or condescending remark. There is no sense in that! This is close to my job but I will be looking for another urgent care. read more

I think this urgent care is relatively new - it is located on Campbell just north of Gardenia. The best thing about this place is that they are open 7 days a week from 10AM to 10PM. As we were packing our car for a quick up-north get-away.. my husband thought it would be a good idea to cut his finger pretty badly. He tried to pretend he could just bandage it and go... but there was a lot of blood and I figured we needed to get it checked out. This is the nearest urgent care to our house - and after only 2 minutes of quick paperwork, we were in an exam room and being helped by the nurse. I think this is a one-man shop (only 1 doctor) - but he was in shortly thereafter. 9 stitches, x-rays and 1 1/2 hours later - we were on our merry way. I would say that the only negative of this visit was that it seemed like it could have been completed in half of the time. Again, with the one doctor and 2 exam rooms- there were periods of waiting while the doctor tended to the other exam room. Not a huge deal and if I have another urgent care need in the future I would not be scared to return. read more

I tried them twice because it is so close to my house...once, they said I had a cold and should go home and use nasal spray. I dragged myself to my normal doctor who is unfortunately located 20 minutes away, and was diagnosed with double pneumonia! read more

Strike one: My boyfriend went to this doctor for urethritis. This doctor said "it has to run its course, and there was nothing he could do for him". He was in EXTREME discomfort, and went to another urgent care for a second opinion. This doctor was astounded at Campbell Urgent Care's negligence, and prescribed him the proper antibiotics and pain reliever. Strike two: My son came home from a trip and somehow, this doctor misdiagnosed scabies with dermatitis...so my poor child had to needlessly suffer with this MUCH longer than he ever would have, had I not taken him to such an incompetent doctor, who I am surprised even has a license to practice medicine. From now on, if there are ever any urgent medial problems in my household, we will be going to a HOSPITAL emergency room, not some office in a strip mall. read more

I filled out the new patient form ahead of going in on their website, and when I walked in, I was the only person in the waiting room (and the only patient in the whole building, I believe) so I thought it would be a quick in and out. Boy, I was dead wrong about that one. Apparantly the staff knows nothing about billing with multiple insurance companies, and it took the attendant, 45 MINUTES to tell me, I would owe $75 for my visit. WTH, with not one, but two insurances, I would still owe that much. I usually pay a $30 copay for all other office visits, as well as, previous urgent care visits. This woman informed me that the office was instructed by the 'insurance companies' to bill towards my deductable, and not to bill my copay. I said no way Jose, and she proceeded to tell me that they would charge me $30 now, and send me a bill for the rest if I would rather have it that way. I politely asked for my cards and ID back, and left. What a joke. I proceeded to call 3 other area Urgent care centers with my insurance information, and ALL 3 confirmed that I would by a $30 copay. Campbell urgent care tried to hose me, and I don't appreciate that. I went in for a sinus infection, and came out with that AND a bad attitude, and I didn't get a script for either! read more

Anywhere is better than this place. I have been her several times when I've felt too sick to drive any further. The staff seems arrogant when you talk to them. If you have any medical knowledge (I work in the field) they will just tell you you're wrong and don't know what you're talking about. This is where the Dr's with egos go since no one else will take them I guess. My most terrible experience there was when I get myself cooking dinner. I had a deep gash on the tip of my finger and nail bed, and waited a few hours for it to stop bleeding. It wouldn't so I went to the urgent care. They told me that I didn't need stitches and that I just needed butterfly bandaids. I woke up the next morning covered in blood. My sheets were all bloody and my finger was still bleeding. I called Campbell Urgent care and told me, "Well it's been more than 12 hours so there is nothing we can do. You should go to the hospital." Why didn't they just tell me to go to the hospital in the first place? I ended up going to an urgent care in the Meijer parking lot at 14 Mile and Coolidge because I had a good experience there before. The doctor at the new urgent care was livid with what I had gone through. He said I should have gotten stitches, but now it might be too dangerous. He said the cut also appeared infected at this point. He prescribed me an antibiotic and wrapped me up well. He warned me that next time there is a deep wound, and the doctor doesn't at least prescribe an antibiotic, you should probably consider going somewhere else. read more

After reading the reviews I was skeptical about coming to this place but it was 8pm on a Sunday night and no other urgent care was open. My 11 year old son had been sick all day and complaining of a terrible earache. We waited only about 10 minutes in the waiting room. The waiting room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and the doctor gave a thorough exam and diagnosed a double ear infection. He answered all my questions and was very professional. Overall we had a good experience. read more

I went here on a Friday afternoon for steadily increasing pain that had me concerned. I've had the bad luck to have needed visits to a handful of urgent cares in metro Detroit, and this one was by far the best experience. The waiting room was small but clean and comfortable. The receptionist was polite in helping me understand the difference between co-insurance and a co-pay (Today I Learned). I only had to wait about 10 minutes before I was called back. The nurse and doctor were both friendly and laid-back, but very understanding about my pain and the concern it was causing me. I enjoyed speaking with them; they were never condescending and never in a hurry to leave. I had two x-rays and two other tests done there in the office, was given prescriptions and follow-up care instructions, then sent on my way. The nurse called me the next day to check on me and see how I was feeling; that's always a good sign. Nobody likes needing to go to an urgent care, but Campbell is the place I'll go when I need it. I would gladly drive halfway across the city to get here from my work. I recommend it to anyone in the area! read more
