When we arrived at our friends' in Sulphur Springs TX, to mooch dock on their property, our living…read moreroom slide wouldn't go out and our levelers weren't working properly. Our friend insisted we take our motorhome to Travel Time RV for the repairs because he trusted them to do the job right and at a fair price. He was very WRONG!!! The mechanic, Allen, who worked on our rig has no right calling himself a mechanic. We gave him a laundry list of what needed to be fixed and pretty much everything he touched was worse than before. We gave him a new wiring harness for the slide/levelers and he said it was no good and took the old one out of the trash and put it back. We were charged over $200 for another wiring harness and it was put in so poorly that all of the wires frayed while driving! This is a letter we sent to the dealership: I am writing this to explain what happened with the service we received at your facility. At the insistence of our friend we agreed to bring our RV in to your facility for service. The items that were to be addressed were: the levelers, the front slide, cleaning the ac's and replacing the electric element in the water heater with a new element that we provided. As to the slide, I gave Allen a brand new upper wiring harness to replace one of the 2 that are required. He put it in before replacing the lower harness, and then told me that the new one I gave him was bad. How could he have known it was bad if he didn't replace the other one first. When I said let's get a new one he said no and went to the trash, dug out the old one from the trash and put it in before replacing the second harness. The parts were replaced with reconditioned parts which you now claim come with no warranty. I have spoken with other mechanics and the all say that even reconditioned parts come with some warranty, even if only 30 days! As far as the levelers he did replace one foot and some springs. I gave him a new element for the water heater which he said he replaced. The heater never worked on electric and still only works on propane which is exactly the way it was when we brought it in. He also said that he cleaned both AC's which seem to be fine. We picked up the RV and went back to our friend's and the slides went out and in once. We left and went to our next stop and the levelers and main slide do not work. Also all of my instruments and fans do not work either. In addition, the tire that he had off to work on the wire harnesses was put back but he didn't put both lug nuts on properly that keep the hubcap on. We lost one of those lug nuts while traveling and the other one came loose and we almost lost the the entire hub cap. We have been traveling full time for over 5 years and now hub caps have ever come loose even when driving over rough terrain. The total paid for the work was $3373.97. Before we took it in all the instruments on the dash and one fan worked, now nothing works. The slide worked sometime and now not at all. I had asked Allen to check my rear camera and monitor because it worked most of the time, but not all of the time. He told me that it was hopelessly dead and would not work at all. However, when I returned I pushed the button to see if he was right it went on and works perfectly. This truly makes me doubt that Allen knows what he's doing!!! My RV is in worst shape then when we brought it in and $3373.97 is a lot of money! And we were without our rig for 3 weeks!!! Bottom line I would like to know if anything can be done to make amends for what i'm going through before I let the world know just what I think of the treatment I received at your shop and the lack of quality workmanship. PS: When we arrived at our next destination we asked the park management for a recommendation of a mechanic to come to the park and fix our issues. The mechanic he recommended fixed everything. We needed two rocker switches, that the mechanic claims he replaced, for the slide that cost us $30 total and the mechanic charged us $200 for his time. Jason was efficient, knowledgeable and quite fair in his pricing. We wish we had never gone to Travel Time RV in Sulphur Springs TX and you shouldn't either!!!

But, it took 3 months to get them. Once they got them, it only took a couple weeks to get the work done. Since it was starting to dip into the low 30s at night, they winterized the trailer free of charge. Then they came in about $300 below the estimate. They don't just have a satisfied customer. They've got a loyal customer.

We were looking for a specific brand of RV and during a camping trip to New Mexico in October 25 on our return trip home to Pittsburgh my wife and I decided to stop here to look at what stock they had. Dusty spent an exorbitant amount of time going through the various units and discussing all aspects of the manufacturer and the model we were interested in. Although we were interested, as usual I was not yet ready to make the purchase. Over the course of the next few months we talked with Dusty on a couple of occasions and he was gracious enough to spend whatever time he needed to answer our questions. Even though there are other dealers closer to us, including one we visited earlier, we were very impressed with Freedom RV. Long story short, we were visiting our daughter in Florida and decided to attend the Tampa RV show in January '26 and had the opportunity to meet several people, including the owner himself of the manufacturer which is Trailmanor. They had nothing but great accolades for Freedom RV and their story and vision made it clear to us that we would be purchasing not only an RV but owning something from a company who actually stood by their product with support which none of the big name manufacturers will do. So we contacted Freedom RV and made the purchase of our new RV after returning to our winter home following the show. A HUGE thank you goes out to Dusty, Kelly, Julia and Brenton for all of their hard work and patience in putting this deal together. We are happy to be a part of the Freedom RV and Trailmanor family.
