Perfect for families, huge portions, incredible selection of food and drinks. Quick, friendly service. The pickled cabbage served with the chips makes a great extra to the meal. Bottled beer is served in frosty mugs. Don't order the mole dishes if you're used to Oaxacan-style sauces. Here it's more like a flavoring.

Excellent Carne Asada! Some of the best carne asada I've had. It was tender, moist, and perfectly seasoned! I loved the grilled onions on top too. The prices and service was pretty good too!

This is one of those family owned businesses where the employees know the locals by name. (Granted, it's in a really small town) The servers were extremely attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The food was great. I really enjoyed my meal, and I could tell my friend loved his food too. I am not going to lie though, I was a little surprised by their price tag. I live in Seattle, and I assumed that a restaurant in this part of the state would cost significantly less. I mean, it's not a rip off or anything because their food is good, I was just surprised to see little difference between this restaurant and what I would find in Seattle in terms of cost. Maybe their lunch menu is better.

Just the food I needed. My partner and I decided to venture out for some non-camp food after a day on the lake. We were easily able to get outdoor seating on a Sunday afternoon. This is definitely a "no frills" kind of restaurant. We dined on an unfinished/untidy patio. Margaritas are definitely pre-mixed. The salsa is very spicy. The food is good, but not unlike any other Mexican restaurant. The wait staff was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. The bathroom was clean.

A party of 5 and all very pleased with our food and the bright cheery atmosphere. Salsa is hot, pico is tasty and complimentary bean dip was a bonus. They have hortchata! They also gave comp dessert chips! Yum! Lots of white chicken in my chimmy and topped with sc and guacamole . We were glad we tried it on a tip from a local. We'll be back next trip through. read more

Host/waiter was rude and then messed up our order to go, we didn't realize it wasn't right until we got back to our room. The food was average but for the lack of restaurants in the area.... I can see why they get the amount of business that they get! Fajita burrito was good! read more

A real Mexican experience! All seats and tables are beautifully painted. The drinks were very unique! My cocktail came in a huge glass and my husbands beer in a very unique Budweiser bottle. Nice complementary chips and salsa plus very large servings for the lunch specials. read more

We've been taking a yearly golf trip to the Brewster area for 15+ years and Los Camperos have some of the best Mexican food and service anywhere and I grew up in Southern California with so many Latin American food options it would make your head spin. read more

What a surprise to find a real deal Mexican food restaurant in Brewster. The food was delicious and very satisfying. The cabbage "salsa" that came with the hot salsa was wonderful. The enchiladas and tacos were very tasty. My husband was brave enough to order the Shrimp cocktail and he was delighted when it came...Mexican style! He got it medium to light (hotness level) but said he could have gone hotter. We loved the atmosphere and thought the town was very cute as well. We felt very much at home. read more

As an Over the Road trucker I have been to many Mexican restaurants in most states. This is without a doubt one of the best!!! Had the shrimp cocktail and the carne asada. I had not tasted such good food in a while...the carne was as good and flavorful as it gets. Everything was perfect and Adolfo, the owner, gave us VIP treatment...HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! read more

Best mexican food around. We have 2 mexican restaurants with in 8 miles of us and we drive 45 minutes just eat here. Love the re-fried beans they serve with the chips and salsa. The menu is quite exstensive so everybody will be satisfied. We always try and get Lucy as our server, she's great! Aldofo is an excellent host! read more

I was directed here by the local hotel. I had the steak strips...and sad to say they were truly awful. Barely edible (I went away hungry because I just couldn't stomach them - chewy and grisly). Too bad, as the place seemed nice, the staff were great and everyone else seemed to be having a good meal. I'm not a food snob, so maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen or something. I want to try it again but just can't. Heading down the highway for the next meal. Would go back for beer and chips/salsa though. Good spicy salsa. read more

There are little surprises in almost every small town - a place of excellence which could compete in any metro area. Camperos is the spot (or the one I've found so far) for me. They have the most fabulous tortilla soup I've ever had. read more

Really good! The chips & salsa they brought as we looked through the menu are about the best I've had, complete with a bean dip and ensalada. Complimentary dessert chips at the end of the meal, too. The portions are very generous. Glad we stopped on our way through town. read more

My partner and I were camping in the area and discovered this wonderful restaurant this past Friday nigfht !!! We each had a refreshing margarita...my cheese enchiladas were so delicious and my partner raved about the vegetarain burrito....the wait staff were so friendly abnd allowed us to tie our dogs outside the outdoor patio...just a really great place and I wish we lived in the area so we could visit more often. read more

Always a great meal every time. Fun to go in and eat dinner with the family, and also nice to grab to go. The staff is courteous and friendly and always ready to bring more chips and salsa! Family friendly environment with great decor. The food is great and the proportions fill us up every time. Pretty much the best restaurant in Brewster. Nice stop for a meal on the road. Mostly an Americanized version of Mexican food, but more authentic. I'd say 65/35. Really nice service, tasty food. Plus my sister left her purse and they held it until we drove back from our Okanagan vacation. Recommended as the best place we've found around the area. read more

Don't get me wrong, Comparos has the BEST Mexican food around. It was our favorite place to eat until we went in for lunch last spring (2012) and when my husband went to drink his water there was a COCKROACH floating in it!!!!!!! Have not been back since! Eventually we will go back but gosh it will take some time before we can get over that!! We went from eating there at least once a week to not going back for almost 10 months now!! On the upside the owner and waitstaff were always great. So...good luck? read more
