If you want good eats, drinks, and vibes this is the place to go. As a resort town, prices tend to be escalated -- overall the prices were reasonable and comparable to other restaurants in bigger towns. We also left full and there was an open mic night going. They had mentioned that they were understaffed, but there was no lack in timeliness and service! Make a reservation and check it out!

Lakeside Tavern is the best cuisine in Chelan, bar none. The ambiance is fantastic, with brick walls and live music, it's a must visit place for all foodies! Chef Austin and crew deliver the best possible food experience you can ask for. Try the Mezcal "Smokin in the Boys Room" cocktail, you won't regret it. This is the only establishment in town where I can order a medium rare steak and get it cooked to perfection. Do yourself a favor and eat/drink at the best Chelan has to offer!

"ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL" very delicious looks like October by the fire type of night but taste zesty and citrusy

I came here recently and walked away impressed. The food was definitely one of the highlights of the night--fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Every dish I tried had that balance of seasoning and presentation that shows the kitchen takes pride in what they're serving. It wasn't just filler food you sometimes get at comedy spots; this was quality dining that stood on its own. The drinks were on the pricier side, but honestly worth it. You could tell they weren't just thrown together--each cocktail had balance, effort, and a clean finish that showed it was quality over quantity. Instead of cheap, watered-down pours, you're getting something crafted. That alone made the bar experience worth it. As for the comedy show, Jake stole the night. Rugged, raw, and unapologetic--exactly the kind of comedy I love. He had the crowd locked in from start to finish, and his material felt genuine and sharp. The main headliner, Bo Jackson, was solid but leaned too PG for my taste. It wasn't bad, but after Jake's performance, the energy dipped. This is where I think the venue has untapped potential. The setting is perfect--intimate, comfortable, and built for laughter. But if they want to elevate the experience, booking stronger, better-known comedians as headliners would take it to the next level. Jake showed the kind of energy this place can handle, and I think with the right talent, it could become a go-to spot for comedy fans. All in all, I'd definitely come back--for the food, the drinks, and the vibe. With just a little more focus on headliner booking, this could easily be one of the best comedy venues around. Rib eye steak with potatoes and carrots.

Our experience was ok but it's obvious there are still some things to be worked out between kitchen and front of house. The good-had the wild prawns and the flavors were nicely balanced-a little sweet, a little spicy. We also shared the rib-eye and the flavor of that was also good, with an amazing "tavern sauce" served alongside. The carrots also had good flavor and arrived hot....which leads into the not so good. We started with drinks which took about 20 minutes to get. There was only 1 person working the bar and he was on top of it, but maybe another bartender is needed? We had the old fashioned which needed a little more balance-maybe more maple and a touch of cherry to round it out? The Manhattan was good. We ordered a small salad, steak and prawns. Then we waited. And waited. And waited. Our server came over and didn't offer any timeline, just asked if we wanted another cocktail. We ordered another, cause why not. We asked if our salad was on the way and she had to check her order pad. Ten minutes later she brought over the steak. No salad. The steak and potatoes were barely lukewarm-not even warm enough to melt the herb butter on top. But the side carrots were hot-obviously plating is still being worked out. Five minutes later the prawns came out. We were sharing everything but it was still a little weird not to get our plates at the same time. We asked about the salad since that still had not come out. We finished the steak and the prawns and most of the 2nd cocktails and still sat waiting for the salad. Finally she brought it over and sat it in front of us. No offer to comp it even though it should have been out first (we'd asked for it first). It was a bit disappointing-the toasted breadcrumbs on top made it taste like we were eating salad with grit. Not pleasant. I will probably try this again, but maybe wait until some of the kinks are worked out. You are headed in the right direction, but need a bit of balance.

I've been a few times now, and while the first couple of times service was a touch slow and received one dish that was a bit off but was comped without issue. Drinks have always been on point and love that they have n/a options. My most recent visit was excellent in all ways!! The menu is loaded with unique food options along with safe and delicious comfort food. My kids shared a burger which was to die for, and the handcut fries are the best in town. I have never had a better salmon dish in a restaurant. Cooked and seasoned to perfection. The space itself is a perfect vibe for date night or an elevated family dinner. I can't wait to try every single thing on the menu now that staff seems to be working out the kinks of operating a new business :)

    Over cooked fries

We really wanted to love this place but sadly it fell severely short. The service was very good and the space is cute but loud. It was the food that was so disappointing. The burger bun didn't hold up to its contents and the fries were horribly overcooked tasting burnt. When we asked the server to share our feedback with the chef, she came back and said Chef thought they were good. Picture is attached, you can judge for yourself. The Mac n cheese lacked flavor and needed salt and pepper, which there is none on the table. At this point in time, we cannot recommend.

The mocktails were not only delicious but beautifully presented, which made them feel a little extra special. For appetizers we had the house bread & butter and the French onion soup. The bread was fresh and paired with a high-quality, creamy butter that tasted amazing. The French onion soup arrived in the cutest little pot with a lid and had a rich, savory flavor with perfectly melted cheese on top. Unfortunately, there were whole peppercorns in the soup (I fished out four), which was surprising and almost ruined an otherwise great dish. Entrées were a mix of hits and misses. The grilled salmon with dinner potatoes was the star of the night--perfectly cooked, flaky, and full of flavor. Absolutely spot on. The crab cakes were a good size with lots of crab and a nicely crisp exterior, but I did find pieces of crab shell in mine. The side salad that came with it was the biggest disappointment--no option to swap it out and the lettuce was visibly brown. We also ordered the mushroom pasta. I didn't personally try it, but it looked great; however, I was told the flavor was a bit lacking. Dessert totally redeemed any small issues--the chocolate mousse cake was incredibly decadent and rich. Definitely a must-try. I even took a slice home for my husband. Service was friendly and attentive, drinks were great, and most of the food was very good. Our total was close to $200 for three people, which felt fair for the quality and the occasion. Would come back again--especially for that salmon and the chocolate mousse cake--just hoping for a little more consistency next time

Service: my boyfriend called to schedule a reservation. Number one I have a food allergy (onions,…read moreshallots, green onion and chive). He spoke at length to them about the allergy and if substitutions were made. We had the online menu and several of the dishes we were promised were onion free, including ciopinno. Now I make this at home. I am aware there are standard white onions in the broth. He doesn't know that, he just knows I love it. He clarified twice with whoever answered the phone. When he brought me, he had assured me they said it was onion free. *In a Morgan Freeman voice* it was in fact not onion free, nor were most of the dishes on the menu. I know better than to get too invested into any menu items prior for asking if it is safe. Second, we asked for a table with a view, preferably outside. This is primarily because of the onion allergy and he wanted a view. They put us in the middle of the dining hall. We asked about the view, the seating hostess "well this is the best view." There were three tables out on the patio. We had a view of a bridal party and bros who were spilling their drinks. I after a lengthy back and forth about food items, I was instructed to order protein and sides that were safe. What I ordered: scallops cooked in a butter, lemon and white wine sauce order a pasta of the chef's choosing. What she kept ordering were plain scallops, buttered noodles and a side of vegetables. I kept correcting her that I did not want buttered noodles. I stead of listening to me, she kept asking me what type of noodles I wanted. She didn't allow the chef to choose, she wrote linguini. I tried one more time correcting her, Steph wouldn't fix it. The lack of communication is sad. The food: I wish I could talk about the food. I got tasteless butter garlic noodles, three very small tasteless scallops, a side of shaved parmesan and a side of vegetables. I paid $45 dollars to be fed a meal worthy of a picky 2 year old and not what I ordered. I cannot fault the chef. I have no doubt he hated making that dish given what was on that menu. After heavily salting, I gave up after three bites. My boyfriend was very clear with Steph. I was very clear with Steph. She would not listen. Ambiance: is beautiful. Worthy of all the IG pictures. Because they accommodated the food allergy, I chose to not give one star. But honestly they deserve a one star review. Recommendations: Teach your staff how to listen. I had one amazing restaurant that will highlight with a highlighter what I can eat and underline anything that be accommodated. That was probably the best restaurant I have ever experienced.

She must have been new, so I asked her if she could check and she seemed kind of taken aback. Turns out they do not, so I just got a glass. My friend and I came back the next day and sat at our table for 30 minutes before we had a waiter approach us. After that, we ordered salad and dessert. It all came within 20 minutes, which was decent for the food order but LONG to wait for wine. From the time our plates were clean and glasses empty to the time we got a check was over an hour. Absolutely ridiculous. We tried to just pay at the counter and the woman behind the counter said she was just pouring tastings but not taking payment (so they do have tastings!). Wasn't too crowded on either visit, so I'm guessing maybe they were training a whole batch of new summer staff or something when we went. I would potentially try them again another time of year.
