We moved to Redmond from West Seattle where our son was doing fantastic in the previous daycare. In Redmond we tried a number of places (tours and placements) and were reluctant to keep moving him. With other daycare in Redmond he would come home overly energized, struggling to focus and difficult to put down for the night. After going to Mango Montessori, it was night and day difference in behavior. Our son become more composed. He picked up where he left from in West Seattle and started progressing in his learning. He is now far ahead of where we thought he would be for his age, reading full words, writing & counting to high numbers. And drop off and pick up is a breeze. For anyone looking to invest in your child's future in the right environment for a balanced curriculum with great teachers look no further then Mango Monteessori. They're devotion & passion for kids education is clearly apparent and greatly appreciated.

Heck, I wish I could be a kid again just so that I could go to kindergarten there. So many experiments and crafts for the kids to do, culturally diverse, small (10 max, I think?), and a really pleasant and caring atmosphere. I am just a little worried that when our 4 year will go to public school, she'll be bored since she has already learned all the letters of the alphabet this year. But, they do so much more than academic basics: it's the whole Montessori curriculum. I do wish they would go outside a bit more to play, but we make up for that at home. I also like that they don't charge an arm and a leg unlike some other options in the area that we explored and didn't like as much.

At our location, the kids have daily activities that also rotate (bouncy house, go karts, slip and slide). The food options have been great and the kids can have seconds. I appreciate that the counselors help to reapply sunscreen during the day as it can be hard for the kids to remember on their own. They are pretty efficient at drop off and pickup. Their communication was good and they include lunch in the price which we found very helpful! We would put our kids in this camp again next summer.

I wish I could convey how impactful our experience at Goddard Snoqualmie was to our family, but I do not believe words can adequately describe the admiration, gratitude, and true love that we have for this facility and the people who work there. We were at Goddard for one year and had the *best* experience. Mr. Julio and Ms. Maria are truly exceptional daycare owners (I say this with confidence, having toured many daycares in our new location and settling on one that is nowhere near as warm and inviting as Goddard Snoqualmie). They truly helped me become a better parent, better communicator, and just better person. They know everyone by name and are very hands-on with both the management and the children themselves. It is evident they care a great deal about their school and the families in it. The front office staff Ms. Kady and Ms. Talli are actual DREAMS. They are so friendly and so caring... to the point that if you are home sick with your child and you don't show up, they will call to make sure you are okay! We haven't been to Goddard in almost 4 months and my son still talks about his teachers there - even one he only knew for 1 month! That is the amount of impact that this daycare has on small children. Of course the smart, caring and compassionate staff are the most important factors in daycare, but outside of that - the facility is BEAUTIFUL. I mean really, really top-notch. It is bright, clean, with state-of-the art technology. I am confident that there was no detail left unturned. It was climate-controlled, the playground was state-of-the-art, and there was a TON of space for exploring. Curriculum was great. They use an app to update parents throughout the day and communicate. My son truly thrived here - they have a really excellent curriculum supplemented with things like music on Tuesdays and summer programming. Art is made every day, and they also do a lot of singing and story time. Had we not moved prohibitively far away, we would have continued to go to Goddard Snoqualmie for many, many years. I cannot recommend more highly.

The door is ALWAYS locked, and you have to enter a code AND scan your hand to pick your kid up - this is just to get in the building! Do you have concerns about your kid's education? This place does an awesome job of teaching kids as they are having fun - today my daughter built a rocket ship, played with 'alien' play doh, did a lot of puzzles and read books about the moon. And she had a blast! She didn't want to leave. Concerned that you don't know what goes on behind the doors of the school while you are gone? Throughout the day you will often get pictures of your kid as they are going through the different activities, and after you pick your child up, they send you a complete summary of everything your child did during the day - down to how much yogurt they ate, and how many times they went to the bathroom (or how many diapers, etc.). You will NEVER have to worry about your kids when you drop them off here. They have fun, enclosed playgrounds - the place is always incredibly clean, and the owners are some of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met.

My 1st grader has been here for a few break camps and has loved it and asked to go back again. The staff is very nice and the kids seem to learn a lot yet have fun at the same time. I only wish the space was a little bigger and that for the camps esp the longer ones in the summer that they would take the kids out for some outdoor time (i.e. for lunch or a quick break) since they are inside for the whole time in a classroom-like setting. They also host birthday parties so that will be the next thing for us to explore soon...another perk is if your company offers Bright Horizons childcare credit, you can use it here for camp days!

When my daughter started daycare I was afraid that she would hate it, because she spoke only Russian. But all teachers were very friendly, caring and helpful. Slowly she began to build up her English vocabulary. Now she can easily speak English and understands even more. Location of SELC is great! They use Whale tail park and Alki beach as a playground (they have their own too). They play outside twice a day which is so good for kids! Regina (the owner) is a wonderful person! I'd like to provide context regarding the one-star review left by Wayne L several years ago. The…read moresituation stemmed from a referee call made by Coach Chris during a tournament that Wayne disagreed with. Believing his child had been treated unfairly, Wayne requested that Coach Chris review video footage he had recorded. Under USA Fencing rules and referee guidelines, referees are not permitted to review spectator video or reconsider calls based on such footage. The USA Fencing Referees' Handbook explicitly instructs officials not to engage with or consider video evidence provided by coaches, parents, or spectators, and to avoid post-call debate that could compromise impartiality. When repeatedly confronted with these requests, the appropriate and required response is to decline. During one of these exchanges, Coach Chris stated, "I don't care," meaning that he could not consider the existence of video footage--not that he does not care about fencing, the athletes, or his students. That statement has since been taken out of context. It is also important to note that Coach Chris serves in two distinct roles within the sport: as a referee and as a coach. When officiating, he is acting in his capacity as a USA Fencing referee and is required to remain neutral, impartial, and strictly compliant with officiating protocols, as outlined in the USA Fencing Referees' Handbook. His conduct while refereeing must remain separate from his responsibilities and relationships as a coach. The comment in question was made while he was officiating--not coaching--and should not be interpreted as reflective of his coaching philosophy or commitment to his athletes. Additionally, speaking from personal experience as a long-time fencer at the club, Coach Chris has been consistently supportive of my growth both on and off the strip. He has helped me work through mental challenges after difficult bouts, supported me through disappointing tournaments, and encouraged balance between fencing and school responsibilities. His guidance has extended beyond results and rankings, focusing instead on long-term development, resilience, and personal accountability. As such, this incident does not reflect the values, professionalism, or standards of the club.

This review is not about the camp experience because my…read morechildren could not attend due to testing + for covid the weekend prior to the camp starting. My 1 star review was based on lack of communication/follow through from management. After my kids tested + for covid, I provided the evidence and email requesting a credit, per the covid policy. The management never responded to my emails (I sent a few follow up emails), yet I kept receiving reminders for my kids to attend that week. The camp session was actually the last of the summer - late August. I basically assumed my money for camp (X2) was gone. Out of the blue in early November I received a one-line email stating my registration for camp was going to be refunded. No signature or contact details. I just checked my credit card statement and confirmed that both registration fees were refunded. I am happy that they followed through, but the 2 star review is because of the poor communication.
