I tried calling ahead just to see if a court reservation was needed. I called their listed number on the website, their was no answer and no machine on Saturday or Sunday but we drove over anyway. There was no one at the front desk except for a bunch of teenagers playing with their phones. One of them was nice enough to advise us that open play had been cancelled due to a tournament and directed us to an employee. First employee we spoke to was too busy "running the check in desk" to speak to us. Second employee could not really speak English but did her best to answer our questions which were 1) do you have a calendar we can see that shows when you have open times and when they are closed for tournament Short answer no 2) is there a better contact we could call to get a live person or message that tells us up to date information so we don't have to drive all the way to the facility to find out they are closed Short answer no Essentially there is no communication with patrons about their open status and they did not seem interested nor apologetic for that situation. 1 star is being generous

Seattle Badminton Club is a great new addition to Washington's badminton scene…read more The facilities are really clean which is always a plus. Trash bins are set out by each court side so players can dispose used birdies, a really nice touch. The floor when I was there was swept two time, they really have being organized and clean down. Drop-ins are 7 dollars. The staff was super friendly as well, the people who opened this place play here on a regular basis and are very welcoming. The only thing that needs to be changed is the fact it's a little bit dim, needs brighter lighting on the courts. Come enjoy a super clean and fun new facility that I highly recommend if you're interested in playing Badminton.

I feel so sad that when my kid was attacked by two kids, the coach just warned them. I'm not saying it ok for my kid to attack back. Unfortunately we had a less than mediocre experience with this camp. My daughter was placed in a…read moregroup well below her skill level and was forced to play with an 11in ball when the upcoming season requires her to play with a 12in ball. Kind of defeats the purpose of getting her ready for the next season. Wish I would have known it would cost $400 to have her play with the wrong size ball and get inadequate training. My daughter asked to play with a 12in ball and she was told "no, everyone has to use an 11in ball in this group." When asked to have her moved they said because she only had 1 year of experience that she needed to be in a lower level group despite the fact that she trained extensively outside of camp and her team just went to state a few weeks prior. Girls in her group were barely able to catch and throw balls (it's now week 6 of 8 and girls in her group are still struggling). When we spoke with Eve, she said she personally evaluated my daughter herself which my daughter said she's never did. Eve's assistant said my daughter could barely catch and throw which also was untrue because I stayed and watched and she never missed a ball. I asked my daughter if she missed a lot of throws that maybe I didn't see and she said no. After catching instructors in 2 lies it was decided it was best to take her to a real instructor. After attending a few practices it became very apparent that we were mislead. There are not enough coaches for players at this camp. Unfortunately most girls are left standing around waiting for the next exercise. The cheaper price of this camp may be tempting but not worth it. Invest in a real softball camp for your daughters.

I was a bit hesitant to enroll my daughter in this camp since she was on the Kirkland All Star team…read morelevel and I was not sure what level of softball would be offered. There were many girls that were on the all star team that were enrolled so my daughter enrolled. I stopped in periodically to see what they were doing and asked my daughter daily on what they did during the day. I will say that instructor to student ratio looked to be about 8-1. The instructors were collegiate players from freshmen to All American levels. If you are expecting a very detailed instruction on every aspect of the game, you should be enrolling in private lessons. But this camp does separate skill levels and allow girls of like skill levels and interests to train together. They really attempt to build up team work, sportsmanship and overall skill development while encouraging everyone to participate and have fun. The group breakouts are great for individual skill development but that typically only happens once a week. Is this a bit of a daycare, maybe but the skill development and fun factor and the new friends made was well worth the participation in the camp. I am a coach and I know there are many elements that help players develop teamwork, attitude and skill development are just a couple. I used my son who has played baseball at very high levels both before and after the camp and we both saw a good improvement in my daughter's skill level. If you are looking for a detailed batting lesson or specific fielding skills, please enroll a private lesson with your favorite instructor, there are many around. We plan on enrolling my daughter again in DBTR camp next year.

My daughter attended a week camp of yoga, art, and mindfulness. Very very happy with it. The space was lovely and she enjoyed it so much. Friendly teacher. Parking could be tough sometimes but there was also construction so that might have contributed to that. The teachers come up with imaginative themes each week and the kids have a mix of structured and unstructured time. The teachers are fun, diverse and thoughtful disciplinarians. When school is closed, Kids Club is open for "camp" and they do extra fun activities, like hiring a magician, going on walking field trips, etc. Couldn't be happier with this organization!

My 9-year old (4th grader this fall) loved this camp. She went for just 5 days all summer long…read more(never more than once in a week), and that was just right for her (she otherwise felt it was a bit repetitive). It's even better for younger kids. She made bread every time, and loved learning the animation station and using a sewing machine. She did spend one day in the Bellevue location. I thought that campus was amazing - wooded area, huge fields...and everyone was great there, too - but my daughter thought this Seattle site was even better because "it wasn't as confusing to find things" (Bellevue has a larger campus split in two buildings, and Greenlake is in a single, "vintage" school building). Granted, the day she spent in Bellevue was her first day ever of Steve and Kate's camp, which might have been a reason it felt confusing, but she chose Greenlake for the remaining 4 days. Highly recommend this location - the staff even seemed to know us after day one, even though we were only there once a week!

My (then) two 5-year-old kids had such a bad time in 2014 at the Daniel Bagley Elementary location…read morethat my daughter remembered a year later and specifically told me she didn't ever want to go back. Here's why: - One of our kids has a speech delay and was bullied by older kids (name calling and physically hit) and none of the staff intervened or did anything - The camp counselors didn't engage with the kids, they just left them in a room all day and didn't check on them or encourage them to do anything - There wasn't much for younger kids to do In addition, as parents we had a bad experience with the Seattle staff: - They gave us conflicting information - First they said would let us use one kid's account for the sibling, then they changed their minds and tried to charge us extra - The head of the camp was extremely rude in all of my and my partner's interactions with her - The staff told our children (we are a blended family) that they weren't really siblings Overall it was a horrible experience. I was so excited to find out about this camp because of the flexibility, and their marketing is excellent, but it was such a bad experience that it stuck with my daughter as something she never wants to do again.
