The beginning process of having camping world sell our motorhome was wonderful. We had a buyer, it was sold to them, the buyer took possession of our motorhome and we received no payment. After a full week of hearing the check is in the mail, and it clearly wasn't. I called and spoke with accounts payable today, they informed me the check was sent yesterday. This is totally unacceptable. At a closing you are paid the funds, you turn over ownership and receive a check. Our check probably would not have been expedited if we wern't on them to cut the check and send. I don't want this issue happening to anyone else. read more

I will never go back to the store again for service work. they installed a new AC for me as well as a roof vent cover.. the roof vent is leaking and they broke the divider in the AC unit ductowork so the thing doesn't cool well. I actually fixed the thing myself ( at least temporarily) by taking my new ac unit cover off and discovering what they did wrong.. I could go on and on about the lack of response from the service department but its not worth the effort to keep typing.. I may end up suing CW in small claims court seeking to recover the labor costs.. read more

A few months ago I came in, interested in buying a camper. My boyfriend came with me but made it clear many times that this was my deal. My credit, my purchase, he was just around to look with me. I even thought about one and gave them my information but did ask not to run my credit for two days. Big surprise they immediately ran my credit and called later to tell me I was approved, after I had called to tell them I was not interested. Besides that, I've gotten many phone calls on my phone number asking for my boyfriend and if he was still interested in a camper?! We bought our RV from Camping World Fort Myers, and just a few months ago, we sold it back to Camping World Fort Pierce. I now regret ever setting foot in a Camping World. The entire experience has cost me over $30,000 in unrecoverable losses, months of stress, broken promises, and a serious hit to my family's financial stability. FORT MYERS LOCATION (PURCHASE): My saleswoman, Cheryl Kimmel, was responsive during the buying process--but the moment we had issues, she vanished. I called, texted, and emailed her seven or eight times for help when my unit began experiencing problems and received zero response. After months of silence, she had the audacity to message me just five minutes ago, saying she "wanted to let some time pass because of how things went." Seriously? When I brought my RV in for service, it sat on their lot for over four months while Chad in maintenance treated me like I was just another number. There was no urgency, no follow-up, no accountability. not to mention constant overlooking of issues. I have zero experience in the RV industry, but I was able to pinpoint problems. Each time I came to pick up my unit after it was "repaired". Needing to be replaced, to the generator kicking out on us multiple times, to the gray and black tank having errors, The RV, not starting in different multiple occasions. Leaving us stranded. With a little more issues that I could keep listing. FORT PIERCE LOCATION (SALE): Desperate to get out of the RV and its growing issues, I was connected with Taylor Walldrip, who painted a very misleading picture of my options. She tried to push me into consigning the RV instead of selling it--completely ignoring the fact that Camping World has one of the slowest sales turnovers in the industry. If I had followed her advice, I'd be stuck paying off two loans today. Eventually, I dealt with Alan, who was unprofessional, uncommunicative, and dishonest. He lied to me multiple times about what I could expect from the process. I live over two hours away from this location, and I strongly feel they used that distance to manipulate the situation and take advantage of me. Here's the kicker: even though I had purchased the RV from Camping World just months earlier, they charged me hundreds of dollars for a roof reseal--an absurd and unnecessary cost considering the unit should've never needed that kind of service so soon. That was one of several questionable "repair" charges they forced on me just so they'd agree to take the RV. The RV is still sitting on their lot as of today. Meanwhile, they forced me to cover the difference between my loan and their lowball offer, and walk away with thousands in debt and nothing to show for it. Bottom Line: Camping World's business practices are predatory, misleading, and financially devastating. They don't care about their customers once the deal is done. Their communication is abysmal, their service departments are incompetent, and their sales reps will feed you false information just to close a deal. They promised a lifestyle--they delivered a nightmare. If you're reading this and considering doing any business with Camping World: don't. I trusted them. I paid the price. Don't let them do the same to you. DO NOT BUY the Fleetwood Bounder 35K If you're considering a Fleetwood Bounder 35K, please reconsider. This was the model I purchased, and it came with a laundry list of issues almost immediately--from mechanical to cosmetic to infrastructure problems that should not exist on a unit of that price and age. It spent more time in the shop than on the road, and Camping World expected me to foot the bill for issues they should've resolved under warranty or acknowledged at the time of sale. We purchased our very first camper in December from Camping World- Fort Myers. The salesman was great but everything went downhill after that. The finance employee was pushy with all his add ons and then was snotty when we denied them. They owed us a new awning that took 4 months to get. They came out twice with the wrong one. The communication was horrendous. The store manager was a joke- bare minimum Bill or Ben. Basically, save yourself a headache and purchase your camper from a more decent company. I don't know how they're still in business. I would try to reach upper management but that's also a joke. Wow, I should have looked at Yelp before going to Camping World. The worst reviews I have ever seen for any establishment on Yelp,and they do not get it. On January 11th, we arrived for our scheduled 11:30 AM walk‑through of the RV we were purchasing. The walk‑through itself went smoothly, but the financing process that followed was extremely disappointing. There was only one loan officer available, and several customers were waiting. We understood the delay, but the interaction that followed was unacceptable. When the loan officer finally approached us, he informed us--very abruptly and without any courtesy--that if we did not close that day, our deal would be canceled. His tone was unprofessional and confrontational, and the ultimatum made us feel extremely uncomfortable. At that point, we chose to cancel the purchase rather than continue being treated that way. We attempted to speak with the Sales Manager, but instead of listening, she told us we were "too difficult to deal with." This comment seemed to stem from an incident the previous week, when she insisted we sign all the closing paperwork before the warranty would take effect. My wife reasonably explained that we wanted the promised repairs completed before signing final documents--especially since we had already put down a $5,000 deposit. Rather than addressing our concern, the manager argued with us and walked away angrily. In all our years of making major purchases, we have never experienced customer service this unprofessional or disrespectful. Place is a joke. They say they make fair offers to purchase RVs from sellers but Don't do it they say they use NADA but they offer you the lowest retail value and then in order to receive the lowest retail value the RV must be in perfect condition. I was offered less than half of what NADA says my RV is worth in perfect condition. They offered me 32k for perfect condition when NADA states my RV in perfect condition is over 67K. On top of this they kept deleting my comment from Facebook where I was trying to share my experience with other sellers, they even blocked me lol how pathetic. Luckily for me I'm time rich and can just make 100s of Facebook accounts and keep posting my comment @campingworld maybe offer actual fair prices and you guys would have more business and your employees would make more money and u guys would have better reviews, do better read more

Exceptional Service! We purchased our Keystone Cougar 22RBS from Camping World in Ft.Myers today. We had an appointment to come in and as soon as we walked through the doors , the ladies at the front were extremely welcoming! But, the best was yet to come, they called our service tech Joe who met up with us immediately to give us our walk through. Joe was absolutely AMAZING and he is a valuable asset to Camping World. They are so lucky to have him!!! We have not had a camper in a few years and we definitely needed a refresher. Joe walked through every single inch of that camper with us explaining to us how everything operates. He was so patient, friendly, knowledgeable and informative. If we found something wrong with the camper , he wrote it down and ensured that it would be fixed before we left the lot and it was. Worst customer service ever! We purchased a new Splendid washer and dryer for our class A motorhome. The washer on day 1, has a small leak, 5 trips, 500 miles back and forth to the dealership and no help, nada, nothing, just talk and promises. they refuse to pull out the units they installed to see where the leak is coming from, unless we pay them (again) to pull the units and reinstall. We finally, called the manufacturer and again, no help, they will only pay to repair it. Not to remove and it cannot be repaired in the small cabinet in the bus. Splendid only sells washers and dryers for campers! They think it is a hose or the water pump under the unit. But dumped the problem back on Camping World. Never again! I love the trailer that we purchased. However, the purchase price said it was $38.9. we got charged $43.9 from the very beginning and had to fight and argue with the people to get our paperwork. They wanted to charge me an extra $20,000 for the term for insurance and then got mad at me when I didn't accept it. It's some serious shit going on over there. Horrible experience! Never again will we bring our RV there for anything. We said that last time which was also horrible but we decided to try once more time. We dropped it off for an oil change on both the motor & generator Thursday. My husband got a call later that afternoon saying that they could not work on it because the motor was gushing oil out of it. They told him it was so bad he could not drive it. He got very stressed out and started calling tows & freightliner to see if it was still under warranty as well as other calls. They called him back and said they didn't know if it was oil or coolant ????? How could a mechanic not know that? I would even know that as a female that has never touched an engine. After two hours they called him back and said sorry, we had the wrong vehicle. This is his wife writing this. I came home to find my husband so sick and stressed out from what they put him through he was sick the entire night. We were told it would be ready Saturday now. We have an hour ride each way to get it. I called first thing in the morning because we were supposed to get this Friday and had other things to do Saturday. I was told that the person who is our advisor is not working today and she is the only one that can help us ??? I asked for the manager and of course he wasn't available. I explained what happened the day before and she said she would text him and tell him this was urgent. We expected he would call right back but he didn't. My husband called back two hours later and at the time the manager said he would have it ready around two but he would call us. At 2:20 we now had to call again and we were told to head that way and it would be ready. I can't believe any business would treat their customers that way .This took up our entire day for something that should have been ready Friday and nobody there cares one bit. We had to plan our entire day around Camping World. We will NEVER trust you with our RV again. They did give us a $150 discount but we would not do business there again even for free. read more

Finally got a truck to tow it in there and they said it was after warrantee even though I made the claim before. Megan the lead of service said"it isn't our responsibility to get your rv in here". I would rate lower. From first purchasing my RV from this location to each warranty repair, the service is horrific. This week I picked my RV up from after them having it for a month. I get it home about 45 minutes away and noticed damage to my RV. I immediately called them and sent an email with the picture of the damage. Three days later they say it wasn't there when I left the lot but yet they didn't do a walk around with me to review the warranty work. Just here you go. Corporate CW said they would investigate but I wouldn't hold my breath. Bottom line is if they do any work on your RV, go over it with a fine tune comb before you leave the lot or prevent the problem all together and don't buy an RV from them. The retail staff is awesome but I have had nothing but issues with Sales and Service staff. read more

So I did not notice there was no seal on the refrigerator.  I cannot find a seal for it. So now im having to replace a refrigerator?nothing that claimed to be included was. Keep getting the run around. Called several times on the finance, never received a call back. I went and applied elsewhere. Where we were approved. Then camping world after 5 days said oh you were approved through us. That's 2 hard hits against our credit.  That could have been avoided if they called the following day as promised.   I still have not recieved the table that was listed on the site. They did not have us sign the title reassignment.   They over nighted this form to be signed.  They won't be getting this paper back . They need to stand up to what was supposed to have came with this unit. I would not want anyone to buy from this place , only to be highly disappointed. I wouldn't purchase a damn thing from Camping World of Fort Myers. From Ben the GM to Brock the finance person it's been a total take advantage of the buyer. They agreed to only charge me 1/2 of the cost of a 5th wheel, yet when I said I already paid for 1/2 they put the other half they agree to pay for in the deal and financed it. Then said they'd loose money on their profit if they didn't put it in the deal. CROOKS AMD I MEAN CROOKS !!!!! Working with camping world is such a regret. I wish I would have bought at a smaller business. We bought a 44ft $80,000 camper (camper is beautiful) that Camping World promised free delivery to our cabin in North Carolina on. We described in DETAIL the terrain that the camper would travel to to get up to our house and they, trying so desperately to make a sale that day, promised that their guy with absolute certainty could do it and makes similar deliveries all the time. We planned on coming back but only bought it that day because they said only if we purchased that same visit would they deliver the camper to our home for free. Come time for the delivery, the driver could not make it up the road and damaged the bottom of the RV attempting it. The camper was left hanging off the edge of a cliff (quite literally). If it rolled down it could have hit the house below and killed someone. The driver recommended a backhoe or bulldozer deliver it, and with company insurance we were sure camping world would repair what the pre-delivery damage. It is 20 degrees at night in North Carolina and we did not have a place to stay with our one year old daughter. Camping world said their manager would get back to us but since it was New Year's Eve day I believe a manager left early or simply did not make time for us despite the desperate situation. We ended up having to get a company with a backhoe out on New Year's Day morning. They successfully got it up the remainder of the road into our driveway (the house is being renovated so we cannot sleep in there). We had to pay $1100 for this just to have somewhere to sleep. The manager did not speak with us until I called back again today on the morning of 1/2, and informed us that they will not reimburse us for having to pay for the delivery that they promised. When I asked if we had not paid to move it ourselves and had left it on the cliff if they would have figured out how to finish the delivery the manager David said he was not sure and they would have likely taken the RV back to camping world. It is simple. We bought one of their most expensive RVs under the stipulation that it get delivered, since we knew we didn't have the equipment to do it ourselves. Things happen, they couldn't get it done after promising. Morally they would have paid for the delivery if they couldn't do it. $1100 to a company like this is worth the turmoil that resulted from them not being able to make good on their word. We had no other option not only because we needed it to sleep in but also because it was a massive danger where it was left that could have resulted in extreme damage or death. That thing is 13,000 lbs. Again I get if they ultimately realized after the fact that they couldn't do it, but since they assured us it would get done and used it as a bargaining chip for us to sign the contract, any half decent company would have reimbursed the delivery that we had to pay only because their manager could not call us back in a timely fashion. my wife and i purchased a 2025 flagstaff classic at the camper show in january' we wnet camping and the ice maker was not working and the back windoe is off line. we took it to camping world in holiday. my service tech took pictures and said she would be under warranty. the camper is 2 months old. today icalled flagstaff and they told me that taylor at camping world front desk signed for it on may 2 around 1230. today shannon our service rep called my wife and told her they just opened it today and the ice maker was not there. who takes 10 day to open packages. my wife asked for the service manage to call her. what bothers me the most is when we called for an update two weeks ago they asked me if i wanted to pick up our camper because the dont have much room. if they would have opened the box on may 2 when they recieved it and the part was missing they could have contacted flagstaff and got the part shipped overnight .i spent well over 60000.00 for this unit and i would appreciate good customer service not the half way service i am recieving. read more

Saw a travel trailer posted on Camping world Fort Myers. The unit listed as a 50amp with 2nd A/C perp. I made an inquiry online and the internet sales team said the unit did have 50amp service. I bought the unit from Camping World Fort Myers. At the walk thru they told me the unit only had a 30amp service and no 2nd A/C perp. We I asked my sales person about this they responded. Sorry it must be a mistake with there internet team or corporate office. There is nothing they can do about it. They have multiple units list for sale with the same options. But none of them have the options on the units. And other stores are listing the same unit with the options. And the same thing they do not have the options on them. So it looks to be false advertising at multiple stores. After getting the unit home. I find out that they gave me the wrong keys. I can't lock the storage bins on the unit. And the main battery disconnect did not work. I have to disconnect the wire from the battery. To keep from draining the battery. When I talked with my sales perp about these items. It felt like the store does not care about these items. He was trying to tell me that my unit does not have a disconnect on the unit. But when I tell him that there is a red main disconnect switch on the unit. It must have stopped working from the time I picked up and drove it home. I would watch for Camp World advertising items on a unit that are not on the units. Buyer beware read more

The AC motor went out on our trailer so we called and waited on hold for the parts department to help look up if they had what we needed in stock. After them not answering our call we headed down to the store to find three workers standing around the parts department counter talking. We provided them all of the information that we had including the specs (115v 60hertz 3.4 amp 1 third horse power 1675-1080rpm 2 speed) the trailer, the year, and even showed them a comparable motor to help with the search. The employee said he couldn't help us without the serial number of the ac. He wouldn't assist in looking up any of the information that we provided and couldn't suggest anything to us without that number. As a former retail employee, I am disgusted by this unhelpful, and non customer oriented behavior. Don't be lazy and help your customers find what they need so they can be on their way. If you would have answered the phone when we called we would have saved the trip out there and the terrible in store experience. Bought paid cash for 2023 RV. The sales person was great. It ended there. Nothing but problems since. No communication. Repairs/punch list not completed. Freezer handle snapped of the first night. Molding in bathroom not attached. Closet bar broke. Maybe 1/2 inch screws. Now being held up by cut two by fours. No flap on awning. Bathroom door will not close without slamming. When we went to pick up they had not installed the second a/c in bedroom. Waited for hours, then left. No sheets or topper for thin hard mattress in stock. Never saw or spoke to manager. My fiancé and I had an amazing experience with Camping World Ft. Myers. Lathan , our sales associate was the best , he never made us feel pressured to buy anything. We came from west palm beach to purchase our RV and for a few days prior he was in communication with us sending information to help us find what was the best fit. When it was time for our walk through John was patient with us , answered all of our questions and really made us feel comfortable with the process of how everything works. Brock , the finance director was so nice and made sure we got the best financing option! I would definitely recommend them , and if we're ever interested in upgrading or purchasing again they will be who we use! read more
