I received a call today 6/19/2026 from a ERO representative who advised that the shipping was higher than what was calculated at check-out (it more than doubled) and they couldn't ship my order unless I wanted to pay the additional shipping charges. I declined and she then tried to switch me to another product. I assume they are not aware that Under Florida law, once your payment is processed and an order confirmation is sent, a legally binding contract is formed. The company cannot unilaterally change the price of the shipping or hold my order hostage. If they fail to honor the original agreed-upon price, they are in breach of contract. This is exactly what they did here. My next step is reporting them to Florida regulators for their poor business practices. This mistake was not my doing! ERO should have done the right thing here.

He had exactly the lure selection I had hoped for at very reasonable prices and I also chose (with help) an economical rod and reel combo. The next day I realized that the anti-reverse switch didn't work. I disassembled the reel and found a factory defect. I emailed a picture to Lon and he was kind enough to mail me a replacement reel at my next campground because I was not going through that area again when the flea market would be open this winter.
