I'd avoid this location for a new purchase. Loved our sales guy, was super interested in helping my family find the right RV. But at the end of the day we looked at 1 motor home and 4 5th wheel trailers and ALL of them were in disrepair. So this is likely how this plays out. They get you to sign, you start making the payments and then MAYBE it gets repaired and repaired correctly....or maybe the parts aren't available and you get to make payments while they sit on your new RV. No thanks....take some pride and if the manufacturers are delivering this garbage, either send it back or fix it for them. But don't make this the customers problems!! read more

I was overcharged and the unit was not delivered in a timely manner. I was also told by the sales man everything will work as it should, unfortunately due to the tardy delivery nothing was fixed. I'm writing this as a warning to anyone considering doing business with Camping World. I purchased a 2025 camper and owned it for only three months before needing to sell it due to personal reasons. I reached out to Camping World to inquire about selling it back. Over the phone and through email, they offered $21,000 for the camper -- a fair number based on its condition and age. However, when I brought it in for the scheduled inspection, I received a call before the inspection even happened, saying they would only be willing to offer $10,000. That's less than half of what was agreed upon and roughly a third of its original purchase price -- after just 3 months of ownership. This bait-and-switch tactic felt incredibly dishonest and like a deliberate effort to lure me in under false pretenses. It was a complete waste of time, and frankly, felt like a scam. Camping World has lost my trust, and I will not be doing any future business with them. If you're considering buying from or selling to them, think twice. No electric heat in 75,000 2023 rig and was shown where the electric and gas heat were at purchase walkthrough. Refrigerator blew something inside & failed right before 2nd use (Sept) and our 2 week trip. Ice chest in shower whole time. We have had nothing but a nightmare with the service the repairs on their Jayco malfunctions, to their selling is the sam goody package. That when when you need their help they are not there. When we picked up our used unit it looked good!!!!! Got home and started to load it up and discovered that the pullout sleeper had the old nasty ass mattress still. To top it off they did not detail the coach at all. We found all kinds of garbage and dirty clothes including dirty underwear under the couch and through out the camper. We paid for new mattress' and to have it detailed. I e-mailed 3 times and left numerous voice messages to no avail. This is definitely buyer beware. We spent a significant amount of money on a new 2025 Fifth Wheel at Camping World in Longmont, and the experience has been nothing short of frustrating. We arrived at 10:30 AM to finalize financing, something they had known about for over a week, and still ended up waiting around the dealership all day. We weren't finished until after 9 PM, long after closing, and by then most of the staff had left. Despite knowing we had a two-hour drive home and a lot of belongings to transfer, no one offered help or even checked in. To make matters worse, the parking lot was being paved that day. We were given a hard time for "being in the way," but there was no alternative location for us to go. In the chaos, my husband accidentally left his toolbox behind. It took days of repeated calling before anyone finally confirmed it had been found. They also failed to return our old license plate as promised. After multiple attempts to get a response from our salesperson, Jamie (who is somehow never available now that the sale has been made), we were eventually told it was "probably just thrown away." And now, with our temporary tags about to expire, we found out the DMV still hadn't received our paperwork. Despite us calling nonstop for two weeks, we were told over and over that someone would call us back or get us a new temp tag. They waited until six days before our tags expired to finally submit the paperwork to the DMV and now they're claiming there's nothing they can do. So we are left with expired tags until we can get an appointment with the DMV. And if you ever have a problem, don't expect a call back. You can leave 10 messages and no one will respond. Not Travis the sales manager, not Jamie the salesperson, not Ben the finance guy--no one. The only positive experience we had was with the parts manager, who was genuinely helpful while we purchased a washer/dryer, truck hitch, and some accessories for the unit (although, a member of his team did sell us a handrail that was not compatible with our unit). But otherwise, the lack of professionalism and customer service has been absolutely unacceptable. Bottom line: Camping World Longmont is a terrible company to deal with. Once the sale is made, you're on your own. There's a reason there's an entire Facebook group called "Camping World Sucks." I wish we had read the reviews and joined that group before buying. Buyers beware!! **Edited to add that the DMV charged us a late fee for our licenses plates even though it was Camping Worlds fault that they were purchased late. Camping world also inflated the value of the RV we purchase by over 30k, which significantly increased the cost we paid for license plates. It was taken back into their shop to be fixed again and was leaking by the time we got home that night we paid the extra $3000 for several different additions, including the walk-through and warranty which month later still turned out to be lies. You've been trying to buy parts there now is an absolute hassle and still they make you feel like a lesser person because they're in control. don't let them be in control. Don't shop here. BUYER BEWARE!! I was lied to from the start! First, I had an appointment to see the camper I was looking to buy at 2:30 p.m. one afternoon. They called me to confirm I was coming 2 hr before the appointment. This is when I was told that the camper was actually in Golden, not at the Longmont location, as they had been telling me all along. But if I am serious about purchasing the camper, if I put $1000 down, they would bring it up for me. First red flag. I didn't pay, and they got it up to Longmont. When they called to let me know, I was told that there are several people looking at it, so if I couldn't get down there, I might get sold. But if I am serious about it, I should put $1000 down, and they will not sell it. I did buy it, but it got worse. The "Let's Go Camping" package that they make it sound like it is their gift to you for buying a camper from them is a lie. It costs you $1900. I was told it would be detailed before I take it home.. Nope, not done. I needed a different size hitch. The hitch was $19, and I was told, "My guys can install it for you. My salesman came back with the new hitch, tried to hand it to me. I told him that I was told you guys would do it for me. The salesman said," Ok, but I will have to charge you $200, that is our hourly charge for service." I was told that I didn't need to move my sway bars from the old camper to the new one: "My guys will do it for you." HAHA, guess who had to do it? ME! I had to go to one of the service techs to borrow tools. I purchased a warranty, and part of it was to have the interior Scotch guarded, and a weatherproof type Scotch guard applied on the outside. The exterior door strike plate was missing, so they were going to install one, and the propane tank they put on it was faulty and would not open. I had an appointment on Friday, August 1st, to drop off my camper, which I did. On Monday, August 4th, I called, and they just got it into their shop to begin the work. I called 4 times later that week and left voicemails as well as having the front desk message them for the status, and no one returned my call. I finally got an email stating that the work was done, they were just waiting to hear back from the warranty, which would take 24-48 hours. I called to find out about this because none of the work was warranty work. I finally talked to someone in the service department on Saturday, August 9th. I was told they were still waiting on the warranty. I told him, the propane tank was faulty and only needed to be replaced. The strike plate was missing when I purchased it, so not warranty work. I was told they can still do it for me, but the strike plate part is $20, and the installation is $99. I told him to forget it, I will get the part on Amazon for $7.99 and do it myself. Then the courtesy inspection that is done anytime you bring your camper in is done. They check the roof and make sure caulking is good etc. Well, the tech recommends that I have my AC unit serviced for $139. I have had my camper for 1 month. Wasn't the AC unit serviced before it was put on the lot to sell? No ma'am, they only inspect it. Today, August 11th, I went to pick up the camper at 3:30 pm. They brought it over from a different lot, and NOTHING was done. The exterior still had bugs on it, and the back had road grime. The propane tank was not replaced. Inside, the refrigerator was open, and the glass shelf was on the floor. Two people and their online tracker said all work was complete!! Once again, I called the service manager and left a message with no callback. Just know what you might be up against if you go there. Read the reviews. I wish I did. BUYER BEWARE! 3/28/24: Purchased camper from Camping World--so I thought. Paperwork and financing completed; I was assured funding had been approved. 4/10/24: Picked up my camper; took it to my storage unit; began making plans to travel to Virginia. 4/19/24: Received voicemail from finance stating the bank had changed program information; they needed me to sign updated paperwork. When I went in to sign the paperwork, the GM was kind enough to offer a $100 gift card. 4/30/24: Contacted by finance stating there were more changes by the bank. I was informed a different bank would be used. This meant another hard inquiry on my credit. 5/1/24: Contacted by finance stating everything had been finalized with the new bank; one document needed to be signed. The document was sent over, I signed it, sent it back. That evening, I received a call from the bank requesting income verification, stating they could not finalize the loan until they had that information. 5/2/24: Contacted finance to inform them I had been contacted by the bank. Finance assured me everything had been approved; they were waiting for funds. I continued prepping for my trip, assuming I would hear back quickly from finance. 5/3/24: 10am--I still had not heard anything regarding funds being finalized. I was done with the back and forth with finance, so I decided to take the camper back since it was not legally mine to begin with. When I arrived, finance assured me funds were being processed but they were still waiting. I then realized funding may never actually get approved, so I told them to shut down the deal. They refunded my down payment and agreed to cash out the $100 gift card; I was informed the check would be available within two business days. I went to the parking lot, unhooked the camper and drove off--leaving my dream camper behind. I was devastated--no longer had a camper, had to cancel storage and insurance, had to return items purchased for the camper, had to cancel travel plans. 5/14/24: Contacted finance to inform them I had not received the check as promised. 5/15/24: I was told that an email had been sent to the office requesting an update. 5/16/24: Contacted finance requesting an update regarding the check and this is the exact response: "I spoke with the General Manager and he is not willing to cut a check for $100. He gave you the gift card to use in our store and it is not redeemable for cash. I got you re-approved and showed you the banks notes that it was going to fund the day you came in and decided to back out of the deal! You could have kept the camper and you would not be out of those extra cost! It was your decision to drop it off and back away not ours." To be fair I have included my exact response: "You guys owe me that money! I spent over that amount on storage for a camper that was not legally mine. And I have a letter from *the bank* that states I was denied, so I don't know what you were seeing on your end. And of course I brought the camper back in. It seemed as though the deal would never be finalized and I did not want to be across the country when you guys realized I would not receive funding; that would have been a nightmare. Finally, don't you dare accuse me of any wrong-doing. You would have done the same had you been in my situation. In fact, you stated I was handling it far better than you would have. I did everything I was supposed to do and the deal was a complete disaster. I was in and out of that office multiple times to finalize the deal. Your GM gave me that card for the hassle I was going through. In the end, what was I going to spend that card on? No camper=no need for camping items. Camping World owes me that first of all because it was given to show appreciation for my patience. It should now be cashed out for the anguish you guys have put me through." Unprofessionalism and repulsive customer service. Dreams, hopes, excitement--crushed by a company that hides behind a veil of pleasing customers while being focused only on the sale. In April I brought my motor home to camping world for warranty work. We they called me in Sept telling me they were finished. We excitedly headed over to pick it up. I had also had some maintenance done at a cost of 1700$. When we went out to walk through it, we noticed a shattered window. The service tech looked it up and the photos show we turned it in, unbroken. My service advisor and service tech assumed they would fix it at no cost to me. As did I. When the manager got involved, he informed me that I signed an agreement and they are not liable for the damage. Told me, to file an insurance claim. I disagreed. And left with my unit, very disappointed. Camping world sent an automated survey, since I spent 1700$. I reported this on that survey. I received a call from corporate camping world, apologizing. We purchased a travel trailer brand new with cash. The unit was delivered with a broken converter, a broken water pump (which caused the unit to flood), a broken water heater, the kitchen cabinets were on the ground, and the frame is broken, the manufacturer has deemed the unit TOTALED and unsafe to drive. Our lives were knowingly put in danger, and Longmont camping world has completely shut us out and ignored us. We were sold a brand new totaled unit, that is now being picked up by the manufacturer. We have not been able to use the trailer AT ALL, because it's never been in working condition. Longmont is extremely unprofessional and downright dirty. It's very scary knowing we were given a totaled unit and could have died on the road. Yet Longmont will not return or answer calls. I need to express what this place has done to me. The salesman Vince said everything to sale but did not follow through. He lied about batteries being new. Said he would make sure they were replaced. I purchased camper about a month ago at a different Camping World. I have been traveling across the country when I noticed the trailer lights weren't working. I was near Longmont and got in for a diagnosis and informed them of my travel situation. They told me they would get back to me by that afternoon with a diag and also perform a top to bottom inspection as part of their service. Hours later I get a call beating around the bush about an issue completely unrelated to what I brought my 2 week old unit in for and that they had the parts in stock but hadn't even looked at the other problem. 4 days later I call them and they tell me they still haven't looked at it, nor was it their practice to inform customers (including stranded ones) more than once a week of status updates. 2 days later they say it needs warranty approval as the cap needs to be completely removed and it was a 10 - 11 hour job + the other word. They couldn't give me a start date nor an estimate of completion knowing I was traveling and was stranded...even after informing them that I needed to return home with in a week (a 30 hour drive). Again, after me calling them and asking 100 questions I'm told they are waiting on parts for both issues (after they told me they had parts for a suspension issue they mysteriously "found"). Again, I ask for an completion date as my travel deadline is nearing to which they did not care about at all. The service person Dallas just answered with a lifeless "um, okay" any time I told him something and the service manager Matt Clark was smug and assumed I knew nothing about rv repair with his insulting attitude and condescending approach of trying to divert a negative into a positive. Somehow after involving the original dealership I purchased it from, I got a call telling me it was going to be worked on. 2 days later I get another call telling me they just got to work on it (mind you 11 hours of work). 4 hours later its done??? After reading reviews here I insist on a visual inspection before leaving the lot...the cap was 100% not removed (I know the difference between old dicor and hours new dicor). Perhaps now we are talking warranty fraud? The RV manufacturer is aware of the situation. The trim was bent to heck on my weeks old RV and I noticed dents in the diamond plate as well as damage to my AC cover and ladder..again to which Dallas the service guy replied "um...okay?" The service manager Matt Clark flat out refused (8 minutes after talking to me) to come look at the damage himself. This was 48 hours ago and I still have not gotten so much as a phone call or email addressing the damage they did or steps to correct it. I have zero faith it was repaired properly and had to leave my camper behind until a later date as I did not feel safe towing it 2000 miles across the country. Rudest reception ever! We stopped to dump our holding tanks, which is a service available at most Camping World locations (free to Good Sam members). When my husband went in to ask where the dump station was, the woman at the front said, "No! We don't do that!" No "I'm sorry, but we don't offer that service here" or "Not here, but here's where you can dump," just a rude and emphatic "No!" With this kind of service, it's no wonder that Camping World has such a bad reputation amongst camper owners. read more
