Carmin was recommended to me not only by the bridal shop, but by numerous friends who had also gone there! Well she did not disappoint, she was super professional and friendly. Hyped me up like a bridesmaid, and was also super quick at the initial appointment. At the final pick up, the dress fit like a glove, and I felt so comfortable and secure. Forward to the day of and I partied a little too hard, I busted the clasp on the back of the dress, but the alterations she had made to the straps, fit me so well nothing even budged. No emergency safety pin necessary. I almost forgot about the veil, she shortened it to the perfect length so seamlessly I couldn't even tell it didn't start out that way. So pleased with everything and not to mention it was all budget friendly. SHE ROCKS!!! read more

I took my wedding dress here to be altered on a recommendation from L&H bridal rack. To say that I am disappointed would be a bit of an understatement. My first fitting went well, but after that, it was not a good experience. I should have taken it as a sign at my second appointment when another bride was picking up her wedding dress and had multiple issues with hers. When I went to pick up my dress, things were not sewn properly, it looked worse than it did before alterations in some places, and the seamstress just blamed it on my body (which was the same thing she had said to the previous bride). She had to take the dress upstairs and re sew parts. Extra time that I wasn't anticipating. I had to wait because I was not going to drive 50 minutes AGAIN when I was supposed to be picking up a final product. I paid $765 for alterations. A large portion of that cost was due to the bustle. she had sewn in 7 loops with buttons that color coordinated to a ribbon so that the ribbon could tie into the loop to bustle my dress. At my wedding, when my MOH went to tie the bustle, two of the ribbons had fallen off. The dress was barely worn At this point and the train was never dragging on the ground. We had to very quickly try to sew new ribbons on and, because we didn't have a seamstress there at the wedding, I ended up stepping on my dress all night and almost falling down on multiple occasions because the bustle that I paid SO much money for didn't even do its job. I had no spare dress so I just spent my wedding night not able to enjoy myself on the dance floor out of fear of falling down. and my bustle looked horrible. Save yourself some headache and lots of money and just take your dresses elsewhere. Huge waste of money and it ruined my reception experience. read more

I used Camrin as my wedding day of coordinator and seamstress and cannot recommend her highly enough for both. My day was perfect and I have Camrin to thank for a lot of that. If I had questions or wasn't sure how I wanted something done, Camrin was always quick to give me a bunch of great options. For the actual day, she was there to wrangle family members, organize vendors, steam dresses, fix a broken bridesmaid's dress right before the ceremony, and give me great (and calming) words of wisdom. I am a bit of a worrier, but knowing that Camrin was on top of everything allowed me to relax and enjoy my day. Plus, she did at wonderful job altering my dress. Camrin has been altering bridal gowns for over 12 years. During that time she attended the prestigious Philadelphia University of Fashion Design, and in 2009, Camrin had the opportunity to study fashion in Rome, Italy. Her passion is to work directly with brides and their parties - her goal is to achieve the perfect fit for bride, bridesmaid, flower girl, and mother-of-the-bride gowns so everyone in the bridal party will shine on that special day! I was called back by Farrell, the owner, and given a quote, a time estimate and an option to pay via PayPal (they don't do credit cards). Once that was all squared away, Clarke's went to work on my shoe. When it was finished Farrell called me to let me know I could pick it up and explained a little about what he did to the shoe. While Bel Air is a bit of a drive for me, the customer service and quality of the work that Clarke's provided means I will be returning in the future.

There was a small divot of the leather that had been gouged out of the top of the toe. It was barely visible from a standing distance, but very obvious when viewed closer. He worked his magic using some type of filler and then applied a professional polish. When I went to pick up the shoes, I couldn't tell which shoe had been repaired, it was that good. His hours are limited, so check before coming

Camrin came highly recommended for alterations by my dress shop, Dressed in Love, where I found my wedding dress, and I was so thankful for the rec! Camrin was the absolute best and so talented. Not only was she professional and knowledgeable, but she carefully and thoughtfully guided me through each alteration setting, making sure all my concerns and thoughts were heard and noted. Even during one of my last sessions, when I was still feeling unsure about the chest area of my dress being too low cut, she helped me come up with a solution to use the floral lace patterns on my dress to help cover it up a bit. She then scheduled an extra appt so that I could see what this looked like before sewing it on and sending it on my way. She also did alterations for my mom's dress, as well as my sister's, and is happy to schedule family members together so that we can be there to support each other. And even if you don't have an extra person there, Camrin fills in to let you know exactly what needs altering if you're ever unsure. Camrin's highly detailed and exquisite work helped me feel so comfortable in my wedding dress; I was actually a little sad when I finally had to take it off at the end of the night. I honestly can't say enough about how great it was to work with Camrin. My daughter got married this past October 2019 and Camrin was a huge part of making her big day a success. My daughter currently lives in Australia, but she and her husband chose to come home to get married. She'd picked out her gown on a previous trip home but wasn't due back to the U.S. until the week of the wedding. I was a nervous wreck wondering how on earth we could get her gown fitted in less than a week. Camrin to the rescue! We went to her shop on Monday for the initial fitting. Camrin had the dress ready for a second and final fitting on Tuesday and we picked up the dress on Thursday. I still can't believe she was able to get it ready and absolutely perfect in four days! The gown was gorgeous, and everyone commented on how beautiful my daughter looked. We couldn't have pulled off such a wonderful day without Camrin. Not only is she a highly skilled seamstress, she's a delight to work with. Happy, friendly and extremely patient, especially with anxious mothers-of-the-bride. I can't recommend her highly enough. I really cannot say enough about Camrin! I was recommended to her and it was one of the best parts of my wedding experience! She did such an awesome job with my dress. She made me feel so comfortable to tell her everything I wanted done to the dress and then executed! Her shop is beautiful and I even bought jewelry from her for the day as well! Originally she was just my seamstress but then after getting to know her I hired her as my day of coordinator. This was the best decision! She is so calm and just has an ease about her. She took all of the stress out of my day and helped make my day run so smoothly. She took time to get to know my vision and asked questions I haven't even thought of! Camrin is awesome! She did the alterations on my dress, and we also had her as our Day-Of Coordinator for the wedding. She made sure every single detail was absolutely perfect! My dress came out fitting beautifully! It's strapless, but I hardly had to adjust it at all throughout the whole day of pictures and dancing! For the day-of coordination, Camrin made sure that all our decorations were in order, she communicated with all our vendors during set-up, and helped the whole day run according to schedule. She also made sure that everyone's attire was ready for pictures, and she was fully prepared with her sewing kit for a few quick adjustments along the way! There is not enough room on the little section to write about how awesome Camrin was during my entire wedding process. First of all, she took a dress that was at least 4 sizes too big on me and made it fit like a glove. She remained in contact with me fairly regularly to double check wedding details. As a coordinator she is flawless. She helped me plan and organize everything down to the last detail. She handled everything for me the day of the wedding and was always there when I needed her. Camrin is amazing! I looked everywhere for a good seamstress, and you can't do any better than her. My dress was a very complicated fix: It was way too long, way too tight, and the sweetheart top didn't fit correctly. And on top of that, there was intricate lace on the hem of my dress as well. Because of all of the little details, I was afraid to hand my dress over to just anyone. But Camrin has such an eye for detail that it came out perfectly!
