It's obviously the new model, and since it's opening, I've seen a few being transformed in the city. The last time I was here was during Christmas. I bought all my supplies for my party, and they had really good sales and exactly what I needed. I was mostly in the grocery section, and didn't need to explore the others. I also got some great Christmas crackers (Monopoly Deal) 6 for $5. Each one came with a key chain and a mini monopoly deal! Score. Walmart in general, has cheaper stuff, but in my opinion, some times it's similar to No Frills, or a Dollarstore (next door) could be even cheaper. Just keep an eye out for the flyer. The store has taken over the entire space Rona used to be, making it incredibly large. With slight exaggeration, you could get 10k steps in just looking around. There are a wide variety of goods being offered, and the prices are often even cheaper than Dollarama (though some stuff is kinda overpriced in comparison, like $30 kitchen shelves?) so I guess they win some lose some. I found some really good deals for plates, kitchenware, hair accessories, stationary, and foam rollers. Since the place is so big, it's hard to find a worker, and even if you find someone, they likely will not know the answer. It's okay though... explore away!

The last time I was here was yesterday for their October 2016 sale. I went on the last day of the October sale, and I found that the selection wasn't as good as from their sales about a year ago. First off, there wasn't much selection for women, and a lot of their merchandise are for guys. Last year, I was able to find a $10 warm hoodie, but now, the cheapest one I could find was $40 and I got the last piece with my right size. My fiance was able to purchase many hoodies, and there was a lot in stock - for guys. This time though, I was impressed by the abundance of Timberland shoes, I was able to purchase a couple of men's boots for my fiance with a good price. I checked my receipt and the calculated average of savings I get is 50%. I would recommend still checking this place out, as this is a big warehouse sale, and they have a lot of different types of clothing to shop for. They have hoodies, sweaters, t-shirts, work-out clothes, work pants, winter boots, safety shoes, winter jackets, golf apparels, even beauty products and jewelery! It was held in front of the old Sears store, which is currently Spirit Halloween. That's my first impression of this mall. Stores close, but this mall and the folks behind it find creative ways to lure shoppers and eaters to come here. While heading over to the ribfest, I noticed an L.L. Bean sign. As a fan of casual, comfy clothing, I knew that I had to return and check it out. The mall's layout is interesting. I parked by the entrance closest to L.L. Bean and Moxie's, which was the second floor. This mall has two floors, but the top floor is more like a third of space than what you get on the first floor. If someone forced you to choose a single floor to shop, you would want the first floor because you've got more variety and the food court is there. I would be torn if this restriction was there, for Coles and Showcase are on the second floor and I love them. The main anchor stores are Hudson's Bay, SportChek, and Homesense. The former is massive and decent. I checked out the food court because, hey, I like food and my feet automatically moved me here. You get your usual chains, such as A&W, Subway, and Teriyaki Experience. The ones that I didn't recognize were Good Karma (Indian fare that looked so good) and Wikki Hut (Asian-South American mix of food that looked yummy). There is a blocked-off area to dine, with two staff members checking for your proof of vaccination and ID at the entrance. I spent most of my time in L.L. Bean and Hot Topic. I enjoyed looking at cool merchandise in both and ultimately making a purchase in the latter. I ended up getting snacks at Mr Pretzels and Kernels Popcorn. They are away from the food court, but the aroma from the latter lured me over here. I love that they are practically next to each other. I am a fan of both places and would definitely return to this mall just for these two businesses. The mall is clean and nicely kept. The women's washroom was bright and in great shape, which also included a separate nursery section. I saw a dental clinic. I didn't see any other health services, so you're not coming here for a doctor's appointment. However, you can get your prescription at Shoppers Drug Mart. The only downside during this pandemic is that there aren't places to sit down to take a breather, other than the blocked-off food court. I wanted to eat my pretzel and pretzel dogs somewhere. I ended up sitting in front of the fireplace where you technically aren't supposed to sit down, but I did anyway. It's a decent mall that has practically everything you need and a lot more. Unfortunately I lost the FTR opportunity in 2022. The largest vendors are: Walmart Supercentre, Canadian Tire, Winners, Staples, Sport Chek, Marks, and Ren's Pets. Some of the food vendors are Tim Hortons, McDonald's, A&W, Boston Pizza, Plates & Bowls, LAON Korean Restaurant, Hong Cha, Bulk Barn, and Arena Grill & Bar. I've been coming here to shop for well over a decade. I used to frequent Walmart and Canadian Tire more back then. My shopping habits changed over the years. These days, I have a main set of stores and eateries that I love: - Winners - Staples - Plates and Bowls I love that Winners and Staples are next to each other. I tend to hit both of them. I often find something cool at Winners, be it snacks or a pair of sneakers. At Staples, I still have a love for stationery and office supplies. I especially love the discount section at the back of the store by the office chairs. Plates and Bowls offers a hybrid of Indian and Middle Eastern dishes. The chicken shawarma is incredible. I am highly addicted to the butter chicken bowl. It's the perfect, comforting combination of rice, sauce, and morsels of chicken that make me come back for more. The apple slaw salad is incredible! I have probably visited A&W the most. Before Markham got an A&W, I'd get my root beer and burger fix at this eatery. There's a drive-thru, too. I have also dined at Thai Villa. Back then, it offered cheap meal specials. I don't know if they still do. The family who owns it was friendly and the food was decent when I was last there. For food and drinks, you have Boston Pizza, Tim Horton's with a drive-thru (yep, there are two drive-thru places here), Subway, and Sgt. Pepper's Pub. The pub always intrigues me, as it's next to Plates and Bowls. There's a nice selection of stores to shop till you drop. Dollarama. Bulk Barn. Rogers. SportChek. Reitmans.
