We ended up here on an excursion tour where they served us lunch and let us swim in the cenote for about an hour and a half. This place was really well maintained! Just seemed very clean and very ecologically sound. The lunch they provided us with was really good. Lots to choose from when it comes to vegetables and protein options. The bar was open as well. Staff was very friendly and mostly Mayan. It was good to know that we were supporting their community. Swimming in the cenote was amazing! You have to shower before hand and they give you locker keys that you can wear around your neck. Very easy to do and the facilities are very clean. Swimming was great! It's very cold but so much fun. There's a bit of a cave in the Mariposa cenote where some bats hang out so just be aware. This was a lot of fun and definitely the best surprise of the day! With so many cenotes to choose from between Cancun and Tulum, I was just hoping I decided on the right tour. This was definitely a leap of faith, given I'm writing the first review. Lol With that being said, Canamayte Eco Park was the right choice! I was kind of skeptical about the time limit (1.5hrs) but it's more than enough time to enjoy both cenotes (Chen An & Mariposa). Mariposa is the open cave. Chen An is the enclosed cave and alot deeper. Regardless, be prepared for an immediate shock bc the water is cold! Within a few minutes you'll be comfortable. No need for snorkeling gear... there's nothing to see. Just bring slides or water shoes. The walk between both cenotes is pretty rocky. They have showers and lockers.
