I was pleased with his communication and VERBAL price do I decided to just go with him. He promised a formal quote and we set an install date. Prior to the date I asked again for a formal quote with no reply. During install, he asked what he provided as a verbal quote and I replied. At the end of install, the final number was higher than the verbal quote. He had several excuses which I reminded him we discussed when he first came. He then said, well it took longer than I planned. I paid with no argument. My approach is to never do business with a company again if they take advantage of me. Point is, until Skip's returns to employing their own installers, I will never buy flooring from them again.

One option that was mentioned was to simply go over the existing vinyl with new vinyl which I was not too keen on. We agreed that the vinyl would be removed and replaced with new vinyl after fixing the underlayment. Since the job was going to be messy and take a couple days we agreed that it would be done while the family was on vacation. We received a call while on vacation stating that they tried to tear up the existing vinyl but the underlayment was tearing and they decided to simply go over the existing floor. Exactly what I expressed I did not want. Upon our return from vacation we came to find that not only was the job not done as we agreed, the underlayment had not bee fixed, it is still popping up through 2 layers of vinyl and you can see impressions of the old vinyl through the new vinyl and it looks horrible. After repeated calls and requests to come back I finally gave up. I feel taken advantage of, my own fault for leaving them unmonitored, and cheated and I would not recommend dealing with these folks.

My wife and I are happy with the turnout! I purchased new flooring from Bills and just had it installed. The installers, Chris and Tommy from Veteran Pro LVP Flooring, did an excellent, professional job. I highly recommend the installers. They get 5-stars Bills' direct sales team and schedulers lack customer responsiveness once the sale has been made and paid for! There is no follow-up or callback when leaving messages or needing questions answered. The floors and carpet have been installed for over a month. They had to come back out to requote the stairs that we had already paid to be sanded and turned out like crap; been over three weeks still waiting. After follow-up call number two last Friday(5/16), I was told the treads came in, and I should get a call on that day or Monday. Today is 5/22, and there is still no call to schedule the installation; a third call/text-out has been made, and we are waiting! It's embarrassing to have people come over!
