The positives: Great showroom with many selections. The staff are rather knowledgeable and able to answer questions. The negatives: Where shall I begin? This ordeal, pardon, project; took nearly 5 months go complete. It was a rather simple install; however, promises made and NOT kept. I will spare everyone the details, but here is the skinny: Countertops ordered, measurements made, and installed... mostly. Back splash crew come out a few days later with the wrong tiles. So they leave and we do not hear from anyone for a few days. Finally, get that squared away and they come out again with the correct tile. Backsplash installed; however, the crew pack up an leave without saying a word. We have no idea what is next. Are they coming later in the day to grout, tomorrow, or next week, or next month? Two-days later, the grout install. Crew show up unannounced! Fast forward three months... Waiting for the final countertop install and waiting and waiting. Numerous phone calls and store visits AND more broken promises. Finally, it appears to be all set and install in the coming days. And we wait and wait and wait. Three weeks later, the day has come. Crew arrives and installs the countertop. It was the wrong countertop and not even close in any way to what was purchased. I will take blame here to a degree for not looking at it. In my defense, working from home and they crew arrived when I was on a call with a client. Stupid me, I assumed they knew what it was since there where multiple calls and photos exchanged on the countertop design and they installed its twin earlier. This leads to more excuses and more waiting... a couple days later, the actual true counter top, it is installed, and we are finally done with Rochester Flooring. Yes, we are done with this company. They will never see us again. One last comment: Payment - you are expected to pay a significant amount upfront. They accept various payment methods, but when we went to put our deposit down with AmEx they asked us for another card. I asked, do you not accept AmEx. They said yes, but prefer other payment types. We bought a custom living room carpet that was a very complex shape, and needed to be bound prior to installation. This was a tough job, and the carpet people we tried before Rochester Flooring screwed it up badly. We were very please with their carpet selection and their sales people, but the best part was their installer, Jeff. Wow, his diligence and attention to detail was amazing. He came out an measured our room and left. He called a couple days later, and said that he'd like to come out and go over the dimensions again. He cut the carpet, had it bound and brought it in to install. It fit like a glove. He installed the carpet on our stairs too. His attention to the installation, the cleanup, and asking if we were satisfied were all things we greatly appreciated. The whole job looks great. This guy knows carpet! read more

We just concluded bringing our out dated Kitchen and Bath into the current age. To say we are astounded by the changes is a true understatement! we had a new shower installed with a new vanity and almost 100% upgraded our kitchen with the help of our designer Christin from Rochester Kitchen and Bath. Each Individual who performed the trannformation work in "old world craftsmanship and extreme attention to detail. Although I don't know each of the craftsman name (except for Cesar who did the bath) they ALL were the most respect, polite and socially engaging that you could ever ask for and went far and above any and all expectations that you could ever ask for. WARNING, WARNING, WARNING We have had nothing but absolute frustration, lies, missed appointments, and have been bounced around from person to person. Our situation has gotten so bad that it has forced us to seek legal action. We have never had this kind of unprofessional experience in our 25 years of being homeowners. We are not the kind of people that get upset with every little hiccup dealing with contractors and remodeling but this company is the rock bottom worst at professionalism, follow thru, and standing by anything they say. The owner Albert Pelusio has taken no measures to make sure customer satisfaction holds any value to this company. Wish we had never stepped foot in this store or hired them for our partial bathroom remodel. I would recommend that you don't enter the store! COVID hit just as we set up a payment plan with them. While I understand these are unprecedented times, there was no communication from them to us. Multiple messages went unanswered. I was persistent and was finally able to contact the owner. Eventually business opened back up and our project was started. Things went steadily down hill from there. We live an hour away from the store, replacing a vanity and medicine cabinet required multiple visits and lengthy wait times while they were here. Each time the worker did not have the supplies needed for this simple project. This was not the worst of it. We picked out a a remnant granite sink top. Luckily I took a picture of it as the top that was installed was not the one we chose. We were not informed or consulted about the one they chose to replace it with. Had I not noticed, they would have passed it off as the same item. When we inquired we were told three different stories about what necessitated a replacement one. Deceitful! We were then given a date for instal of the replacement and the worker showed up without the sink top, again varying information as to why. The lights we chose, we were told were out of stock, later we were told similar one found at Lowe's, ultimately the owner told us the original choice was installed, unsure at this point what we really got. The sink handle we chose was also reportedly not available and I received an email of an alternate avail at Lowe's, which I approved, the owner later told me the handle did not come from Lowe's but from local plumbing store, again unsure what I recd. The installer had to knock a hole in my walk and move electric twice due to inaccurate measurements. Multiple requests for itemized bill and when we finally raced it, inaccurate. Warranty/care for product Information requested multiple times and never received. My vanity drawers were installed improperly and are not even but no response from company when brought to their attention. Don't bother considering this company if you're not going to spend tens of thousands of dollars. We visited the showroom and met with Albert Jr. He is very knowledgeable and answered our questions. We were upfront and honest with him that we cannot spend 20% of our assessed home value on a remodel. He said they could work within our budget. If I had written this review just 6 month ago, I might've given them a 4-star review. I have had them do the linoleum in my basement (9 years ago), and the 'floating tile' floor in my new kitchen just 3 years ago. All told, I've spent about $5k with them. The linoleum still looks good, and I'd give them an "A" for that. The kitchen, one little "oops" in a hardly visible corner, maybe a B- on the installation. So far, pretty good. So, a few months ago, gaps started to appear between tiles in my kitchen, big noticeable gaps. No problem, this floor had a "50 year guarantee", so I called them. A guy came, took pictures, then....nothing for 2 weeks. I called, said that they weren't responsible, since they did not put in the subfloor! The installation crew had no issue with the floor in that location (but did in a different location on the other side of the room, which I paid for them to level). I complained, so he said he would run it across his manager. Waited another 2 weeks-nothing. Called, and he confirmed that they weren't going to do anything. Even had the AUDACITY to suggest that they could come out and do it....for $375 dollars!!!!!! I'm only marking them down to 2 points due to the fairly decent installation, but if I were rating them on their veracity, this would probably one of those "if I could give zero stars, I would!" reviews. THEIR GUARANTEE IS WORTHLESS!!!! I will NEVER give them a penny of my business again. Now, I need to find somebody to fix what they refuse to honor their warranty on (so far, the estimates are a LOT less than $375). 50 year guarantee my @$$....... **update** I just finished fixing the gaps myself; took less than 1 hour with a large suction cup and a rubber mallet, so not only are these guys reneging on a guarantee, they are price-gouging on the repair quotes as well. I went into this store just this last weekend. We were there to buy over 1500 sq. ft. of vinyl plank flooring. We were greeted when we came in (just a guy who kind of gave a head nod and pointed us in the right direction). Eventually, someone came over. He didn't ask us what we were looking for, didn't ask about our price range, nothing. Instead, he asked why were there when there was a festival happening and then proceeded to tell me that the festival was for "women" and stuff that only "women" like. Highly sexist rhetoric but, I just brushed it off with a smile went back to looking at flooring. Not once was I asked if they could help me find something, there are no prices on things to tell if they were even in range of prices were were interested in and with no one to tell us the price, we left without even discussing options. read more

After a glitch with design and communication, owner Albert Pelosio came to our home to listen closely to our concerns and to the needs of our family and busy lives. Design expert Anne Procopio also listened closely to our needs and helped us choose beautiful and quality products that will last. Ebenezer Vega and contractors completed the coordinated construction process with great timing and professionalism. In the end we could not be more pleased with the workmanship, timing and overall cost of this project. The salespeople are good at their job but there is a big disconnect with the service/installation department. I ordered the tiles for my backsplash on Sept 20 and I am still waiting. Numerous days have been scheduled for installation but no one came. I have waited at least 4 full days waiting promised/rescheduled instal.l I rearranged my schedule to accommodate the new dates only to have yet another wasted day. I wanted this done before Thanksgiving and thought 2 1/2 months ample time but no backsplash yet. They have had my 50% deposit for 2 months and I'm sure they would get upset if I wait 2 months to pay the balance after install - that is if it ever gets done. Not a happy camper ! read more

The owner rants and raves when a customer is not happy. He told me that just because I was a customer did not mean he had to kiss my a-s. His installers were also crude and rude. They had an attitude from the minute they walked. They made it sound like the call to my house was an imposition on their schedule. The installer was in a hurry. He said he did not have time for this Sh-t. The floor is not glued properly and is buckling. The remediator also showed up with an attitude and said he could not fix it today. We had stopped in there a few months ago just looking around for carpet. The salesman was kind of arrogant. Ok what ever. We really needed new carpet so we went back , had a good price and unfortunately got the same salesman. Same attitude, what ever. We got the sizing done on the scheduled day. Nice guy. Set the installation date for yesterday. The night before received a call that they would call me around 9-10am to tell me when they would get there. By 2;30 still hadn't received a phone call. I called to let them know I hadn't received a call. He contacted the installation guy and was then told he couldn't make it until 5-5:30 ok fine. Needed to get done. 6:00 i get a call that he can't make it and would have to be the next morning. Ok fine. Fortunately I don't work. He comes in the morning , great. Well don't appreciate language that shouldn't be used in a customers home. He was also yelling and being rude to his helper. His whole attitude was disgusting. Worst contractor I have ever used. If I could have given less than one star I would have. Kitchen linoleum was very poorly installed, terrible cuts, especially on the baseboard, got glue on kitchen walls, never properly completed the job and installers old truck leaked oil on our driveway. We have rescheduled twice to have them redo the baseboard, and they were no shows both times. They said we would receive a refund check in 14 days for services not received, we never received it. The actual in house service - sales people were phenomenal. However, the installation people are horrible. We have been waiting months on getting our countertops installed - mind you, we understand with COVID-19 there are delays... that is not the issue. The issue is that they blew me off for about a week until they called me back FINALLY with an install date only to have that date come and not have anyone show. When I called to inquire they said "sorry our install guy, Ebenezer is on vacation, you are scheduled next month". I said then "why didn't anyone call me to cancel, my husband had to take off of work today and we arranged other childcare" their response was "I am not sure why no one called you. I am sorry as I did have you written down for today. However, now you are scheduled for next month" - mind you no time is written down on the date just the date itself and they expect me to trust that they will actually show up on that date?! This is incredibly unacceptable and very unprofessional. Nothing more than "I am sorry" was offered to me. They are lucky we are under contract because otherwise we would have definitely cancelled our order - despite us having to wait even longer for countertops - it would have been worth the wait if we didn't have to deal with Ebenezer. When notified we needed the tile, he went to the warehouse and delivered it to the Victor store. When we returned to the store a 2nd time to pick up the tile (no one was able to load it for us the first time), Mark personally loaded the tile. I work in banking and if we engaged in tactics of this sort we would be in prison. Order took 3 weeks longer than it should have according to the salesman, with no explanation and multiple unreturned calls from the manager. If I could give something less, I would! They left me with a horrible squeak in my floor at the entrance to my kitchen. After 4 months of complaining and communication with the BBB, NOTHING has been done. I am 67 years old and have never dealt with a company that had such horrible customer service. 2 of their own employees even agreed that they made major mistake in my floor. They say they would replace it but it may cost me more. My bottom line is remove it and replace it with no additional charge to me or give me my money back so I can go to a reputable company. The sales people are good at selling you something but when it comes time for installation they're not there for you. Talked to Rochester linoleum at the home show and set up a time for them to come measure the rooms for a quote. Was told by the sales person that the carpet was being held for them at the manufacture specifically for these installations. After the rooms for measure we place the order and were told we could have installation in five weeks because we have asked for a Saturday installation date. The Thursday before the installation we received a phone call and were told the carpet was not received. For a carpet that was supposedly being held at the manufacture how could it not be received after five weeks. Was given a choice of two new installation dates Tuesday of the following week or Saturday, we chose Saturday. Waited around on Saturday for someone to show up and when I got to be 11 o'clock my wife called and they stated no we were down for Monday, this was never a choice that was given to us. Tried to cancel order and was told we cannot get our money back finally made a deal with the district manager to purchase only the carpet and have our own installer do the work. They were more than happy to take my money and all kinds of promises were made about when it would be installed and I am still waiting, We placed the order 11 weeks ago. Found out they didn't actually place the order. Then promised and install 3 weeks ago. Guess what... still waiting. And of course when we threatened to cancel the order they immediately went to the "you can't cancel... we already made the order. We have a contract with you." We are so disappointed with the service that we have received from Rochester Linoleum & Carpet One. We will never go shopping at the store and we encourage anyone reading this review to not shop there either. The store was more concerned with the sales than having a happy customer. We went to purchase flooring for our kitchen. When we placed the order, we were told that it will take 2 to 3 weeks. We called to check at the 3 weeks, we were told it will be in next week. Next week came (4th week) and we received the same answer, it will be in next week. We tried to cancel the order they would not let us. Next week came and the same answer. We were finally mad. Our kitchen is torn apart and we still waiting for the floor. We go to store to cancel the order; the sales person said that he does not have the authority to cancel our order. He needs store manager or district manager approval. We go the next day, the store manager would not approve the refund, and the district manager would not either. On the last week (5 weeks later or 8 weeks from placing the order), the sales person told us that he would cancel our order if the order is not in next week. He said I will give it to you in writing. We took the note, just in case the order does not come in, but we know they won't make a written commitment if they were not sure the order was not in the country. We finally received the call the order is here. We picked the floor. After, all the pain, suffering and disrespect that associated with this order, we have decided not to install the floor or look at it. At this point, I am not happy at all. We are on our second room. We probably should have stopped after the first experience. As I see from the other posts, we all have the same issues, delays and lack of communication. The first room installation was set, and on the day of installation, we waited and waited for the call to tell us what time it was coming. We ended up calling them to find out that the installer had called in sick. I understand things happen but the lack of communication is unacceptable. Now, onto our second room. We ordered and had installation set for a week ago. Carpet did not come in. AGAIN, we had to call them to only find that out. We are still having to call each time we want information. The lack of communication is horrible customer service. At this point I am not anticipating it will be here prior to thanksgiving, :-(. There after-sale service is the pits. They are fast and friendly to make the sale and measure your property but after that it all falls apart. We paid our deposit on August 25th. The contract specified September 22 as the installation delivery date. As late as 9/21 there was not a call from them telling us what to expect. We called. Oh, I am sorry. The carpet has not shipped from the factory yet. The carpet did not arrive at their warehouse until October 19th. They called to set up a date for installation. We decided on that Thursday. The installers arrived and looked a the house and said we cannot install today. Why? We (the clients) were supposed to clear off all the nick-knacks and breakables from our furniture so they could move it. But surprise, no one from Carpet One called to inform us what to do or expect. We rushed to move lots of stuff into any available space to clear things off for the installation the next day. The installers never arrived. We called the installers and were told that Carpet One had sent them out of town and they could only work on our house (now completely up in the air) for about 2 hours that afternoon. Completely unacceptable. Carpet one management completely unresponsive. Go some where else! read more
