I needed refills, and she went on & on as if she was investigator or psychiatrist. She didn't stop at asking what was my stress lately but was asking very weird questions as if she wanted to induce specific answers. I told her about harassment & discrimination by York University staff as a retaliation after I pointed out on their unethical hiring, unethical practices, & mistreatment of PhD students at the PhD in HRM. Then, she tried to convince me I need to see a psychiatrist for telling her that which gaslighting resembles the York U staff when a students points out on wrongdoings as they can't stand criticism. She said that she watches a TV show (Love & B....).. to diagnose people with disorders. Yet, she mentioned some concepts & it was clear to me she doesn't know much from that filed. She seemed confused as if she is a psychiatrist when it was clear from her comments that she doesn't even know basic stuff about some disorders (I have a degree in Psych & studied Abnormal Psych). She said she will only give me refills for two weeks & I must see her again to see if she needs to send me to a psychiatrist. This reminded me of the time in history when women were sent in asylum because someone was prejudiced or didn't like them. I have never had such experience with a medical doctor before. She was very professional & her (mis)conduct) disturbing. Her God syndrome that she is knowledgeable in psychiatry when she is not - says that she needs re-evaluation (she is older with all white hair).

The only issue I would have with this clinic is the long wait times during the day - much higher than most, but overall a very nice place to be!!!

Before anything, let me be fully clear, Doctors/ Physicians in the clinic are amazing, I am with my family doctor from a long time, however the admin team has been a nightmare. I underwent surgery in March 2026, which lead me to be bed ridden for recovery till May 2026. I lost my job, my OSAP went into overpayment, I am under extreme financial hardship and I was attacked racially on the streets of Toronto. I was recovering, hence could not make it to the appointments, when asked about it, I was told about "policies" and "fees" I must pay before I see my doctor. I gently asked to waive it OR allow me to delay the payment till I am capable of giving it / do it in instalments. It was relayed to my doctor as I am asking to waive fees and I was informed it cannot be done. The email had issues lines up, I was looking to get my doc to fill in some forms, insurance/ hardship related, I was told how much that would "COST". I had to leave it on the side. I received an email saying I am no more on ROSTER because I missed appointments! I was genuinely taken aback. My psychiatrist had stopped the practice, so my files was being transferred to family doctor. Admin team at UHN did it, honestly, multiple times. It never reached my doctor. During my current hard time, facing depression, anxiety, adhd and an attack because I am a different race, with no money, poor credit fighting to get a job, I started overcoming my issues. I asked again for an appointment, because UHN confirmed that I was still with this clinic, they replied with "policy rules", "admin fees"! I have an entire email chain! The admin from UHN helped me with getting the records, and I PERSONALLY SENT THEM! My doctor understandably could not read everything because there were more than 200 visits to be read! So from whatever time I was a patient of this clinic, UHN did send the records, and they NEVER reached my doctor, until I had to find a way to provide it to them! Finally after asking for an appointment I finally got one last week, I finally saw my doctor and we had a plan, from the conversation I noticed he was relayed with selective information, and when he said he supports the admin team, I reassured him I understand policies and why you are supporting them, however, my MAIN CONCERNS have not reached you! Me and my doctor had a plan, I requested for one of my forms to be signed on Friday, according to clinic "policy" I was late with the email so they were going to answer me next business day. Monday has passed by, Tuesday is almost coming to an end, and I am ghosted yet again! It is extremely hard not to take this personally, I have been clarifying asking giving feedbacks in a real positive light whenever possible. BUT THE ADMIN TEAM HAS ABSOLUTELY NO EMPATHY! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE DURING MY OWN ROCK BOTTOM! I have a steady rapport with my doctor, so I cannot even go anywhere else, but to get to him, THIS HUGE HURDLE is just an impossible task! My dad has escaped a stay (knock on wood!) at this hospital. I did a couple of nutritional sessions with a dietician at this hospital over a decade ago. I got a referral by my doctor and it was two sessions that proved helpful. I enjoyed the field trip that we did to the Loblaws nearby and learning how to effectively read nutrition labels on products, along with in-classroom instruction. These sessions were helpful guiding me in losing sixty pounds and keeping most of it off to this day. I have also seen a rheumatologist and an ophthalmologist at MSH. The former was to rule out a finding from my bloodwork. The latter was similar, to rule out a detail found in an x-ray. I had surgery at this hospital over a decade ago here. The process to check in, change, get anesthesia administered, have surgery, go through physiotherapy, and gradually return to my normal self was thoughtfully planned. My surgeon was awesome, who scheduled a couple of post-surgery appointments to make sure that I was on the mend and got my staples removed. I was a patient for four days. The meals were okay. I obviously survived. I looked forward to them because I'm just that type of person. I chose the diabetic plan because I wanted less sugar. I also knew the food drop-off schedule like clockwork... haha! Staff were competent, from the nurses and doctors, to the radiologists and various interns. No complaints. My mom also had surgery here. Her stay was a bit longer, but she was made to feel comfortable. She also had a physiotherapy component. The wait times can be extremely long. Even with an appointment, I remember my appointment being at least two hours in length, with most of it being a wait. It's paid parking. You basically pay at a kiosk. If you are lucky to have someone drop you off and pick you up, you'll save a bit. For my last appointment post-surgery, my dad dropped me off and picked me up. It was great, but trying to let him know when my appointment was nearly done was tough to predict. As with most hospitals in Canada, if it's for an emergency, expect a wait. Triage at MSH is much better than at other hospitals in the GTA, such as Toronto Western and Birchmount (formerly Scarborough Grace). Many factors are at play, from how many doctors are on staff to see patients, to the severity of the health issue. I booked COVID-19 shots for my parents in a building next to the hospital during the height of the pandemic. My parents were pleased with how things went. My dad didn't complain, so things went smoothly and they got their shots together. It's a decent hospital. I am thankful for the care that my mom and I have had. (45)
