I was charged $75.00 dollars to see a doctor. I paid with the understanding that I would be reimbursed once I supplied them a renewed Health card. I supplied an updated card a week later. I was then told that OHIP could take up to 3 months to reimburse them and that their head office in Alberta would then send me a cheque asap upon their receipt. I have called several times for reimbursement. I have spoken to numerous people at both their Richmond Hill and Newmarket offices. I have told my story repeatedly and spent hours on the phone trying to get resolve. I have been told that head office did receive repayment from OHIP, in addition to being promised that someone will call me back. They refused to give me a manager's name or any contact information on who is responsible for reimbursement at their head office. Today I spoke with someone again. Once again, the Richmond Hill manager was not in and they would do their best to have someone call me back. To date...over 7 months later... I have not received any reimbursement. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

The medical issue turned out to be an emergency and Dr. El-Batnigi and staff were very comforting and providing me with the professional care I needed before heading to the hospital. Since that visit I have been back a few more times for a check up and to refill my prescriptions at the very efficient well run on site pharmacy. In addition to the on site pharmacy they also have an on site lab to get your blood tests done. It is a very clean and organized well run clinic and family practice. If you reside in the Vaughan area and looking for a great convenient walk in clinic or looking for a new family Doctor I would definitely recommend paying a visit.

He and his staff forgot to follow through on the specialist booking twice. I went to see him again since I didn't receive a call from the specialist. He said he will look into the issue and book the appointment if needed. 14 months past and my situation got worst. I went to see him again asking him to refer me to a specialist. I hope he didn't forget about it this time around? I am looking for a better family doctor at the moment. Unfortunately it's very difficult to find a good family doctor who is still accepting patients. There is a problem with this Dr. Workflow. He would not see you or talk to you directly to diagnose your health issues . You have to do all that with a "clerk" first. The doctor shows up after to review the info. captured on the computer, validate the info. provided in the computer and give instruction to the clerk to issue prescriptions, appointment booking etc.. there's minimum interaction between the doctor & his patient directly. So I am still not sure who forgot to book the appointment as of today? The doctor? The clerk? The receptionist? But for sure the computer's records didn't have a records of any specialist booking In the last 14 months. I regret I waited this long and still unable to book an appointment to see a specialist. I come in, it was busy so reception told me it will be about 40mins wait (which is probably longer anyway) so to come around 1:30pm since I had my baby with me. So I did. I waited an hour for the dr anyway... how convenient to be seen for not even 5mins. 3 days later I come in but only waited 10mins (so nice even though my baby wasn't with me this time). I was seen for 5mins again to do the reading and the Dr (a different one) told me that I had to pay $40. I told him what I was told over the phone and he apologized. Said that it's $20 for the injection, then $20 for reading since it's usually different Drs each time. I could've just went to a different location.. How could they mess this up?
