Got quote of $4800 for standard grade vinyl plank installed based on 225 sq ft. When I questioned the sq ft they said the laser and computer was right. My kitchen floor is only 160sq ft. Didn't accept the quote and the deposit was put against the countertop. Counter top cut installed to my satisfaction. Got another quote from another company. Their quote was $1800 for commercial grade vinyl plank installed with a lifetime warranty based on the actual footage of 165 sq ft. Went back today to question again the inflated quote for the flooring. I spoke to the owner and his answer to me "it was my problem because I got my money back and to get out of his store." At that point he escorted me out of the store. You determine what is going on here. The only reason for the one star is Agnes and the countertop crew on an excellent job. But the job they did deserves recognition. Among the many people worth a shout-out: designer Chaya Uzan whose enthusiasm and ideas gave us a sense that our project was quite special; and Robbie Goldberg, our day-to-day contact and project manager, who brought a craftsman's eye to all aspects of the job. When problems were encountered, problems were fixed. An example: once we installed a new oven in the kitchen we realized that we would have to do without a favorite built-in spice cabinet. Robbie came up with ingenious fix requiring some custom carpentry so that the spice rack did not disappear but became an integral of the whole. Anthony, our renovation expert, was our first contact with A to Z. He encouraged us not to give up on what we wanted the project to look like even though other renovators had told us it was impossible to do. He also offered to answer any questions we might have along the way. Then there's Shevy, the permit and insurance coordinator. She dealt with the necessary paperwork and kept the inspectors at bay so we did not have to deal with those headaches. And last but not least, Mario, the site manager, who was there every day, hands-on, always professional and pleasant. On that note, the entire team seemed to like one another and treated us and each other with a refreshing degree of decency and consideration. To summarize: The team at ATOZ was thoroughly professional and kept us informed with clear, consistent communication every step of the way. I pulled in and parked and walked into a beautiful showroom with so many types of beautiful tiles, fixtures and come to find out people ! I was met by Josceline ,one of the interior design specialists. What a joy she is to work with !! Dennis the owner/manager spoke with me and said his crew could be at my house the week after Thanksgiving .. TOO SOON for me !!!! ( I think i visited on or about Nov 1,2023 ) He gave me an alternate date of Jan 8,2024 and off we went ! The Crew, Jeffery, Axel, Fred, Wilmer and perhaps another person show up bright and early on Jan 8 ready to demo my bathroom on a slab.. The tiles on the slab took longer than usual to come off and made a mess a dusty mess.. ( word to the wize , even though the crew puts plastic up to keep the dust at bay, next time I would tape every closet, cabinet and cover every plant , just a suggestion for the homeowner ! ) Out with the old and in with the new ! I chose to heat the floor so no one would step out of the beautiful shower onto a cold floor ! I LOVE IT !! And talk about my shower OMG !! They took out a tub and made the area a little wider than the tub and it's tiled with beautiful white subway tiles to the ceiling ! I have a beautiful niche to hold the necessities and the tile I chose for there is also on the non slip floor of the shower.. Since we are old... lol we chose to put two grab bars in the enclosure just for safety sake, I recommend doing that even if you are 21 years old.. We replaced our big box store vanity with a beautiful well made vanity and the quartz counter and sink are fabulous !! The walls are now real wood wainscotting half way up, instead of the wanna be paneling. The crew could not have been more respectful, careful,polite, cheerful or trustworthy if they had wanted to. I was fine leaving them in my home with no supervision. It was a pleasure to have them in my home actually ! I cannot help but recommend this fine company and the people that make it grand.
