Outstanding restaurant! The employees were great, from the gentleman that seated us to our waiter. Cleaned restaurant and quick service even though they were busy with the lunch crowd. Tortilla chips and salsa were on our table almost as soon as we were seated, our drinks were delivered shortly after that. I ordered queso with our order and it was brought out in a couple of minutes, hot and tasty! I ordered the birria taco's and a large Modelo, my wife ordered two steak street taco's. The birria taco's are the best birria that I've had yet! The mix of flavors is so good! Savory, salty, spices, so good! My wife was only able to finish one of her taco's, but she ate the whole side order of Mexican rice, which was large. We will definitely go back. My father told us after we went there it was his favorite Mexican restaurant. read more

Amazing service by Andrea who greeted us with a huge smile and served us with confidence. Her recommendation of margarita and the fajita chicken and salad were delicious Both items were enough for another meal. It's a Mexican restaurant and they had a full basket of chips and salsa for our enjoyment. The music was appropriate and the noise of the restaurant was kites with the beautiful backing in the seats! Attention people in the Findlay Area! If you have yet to stop in at Cancun Mexican Redtaurant for some excellent food in a somewhat upscale local restaurant, you have been missing out. We were on our way home and decided to stop for a late lunch in Findlay (Go Oilers!). As usual, I pulled up the trusty Yelp app for some assistance, and as usual, Yelp came through with flying colors. Cancun Mexican Restaurant has a classy, somewhat upscale vibe for starters. Their menu has many options for varied tastes, and the food is amazingly good. Prices are very fair for the portion sizes, and service was on point. I am not sure how long Cancun has been in business, but I am hopeful the owners venture into the Toledo Area. I totally agree with another one of the reviews - the salsa is drink worthy! Pico de Gallo was fresh and delicious. We had the Taco Salad and the Molcajete Mexicana and had leftovers for 2 more meals. The pic I shared of the Molcajete Mexicana doesn't do this beast of a meal any justice - pork chop, beef, chicken, Chorizo, shrimp, cactus leaves, grilled onions/jalapeños/other peppers. Trust me, that cauldron was almost bursting at its seams based on the shear volume of delectable treats. This is my favorite Mexican food restaurant of all time. The service is so fast. Everyone is always smiling and friendly. We normally order to go and they always make our food so fresh. We order the chicken chimichangas and the steak street tacos and are always extremely satisfied. It's ready to go in ten minutes, hot and fresh and everything is flavorful and just so good. The restaurant is always clean and well kept, it's definitely as authentic as you can get in Findlay Ohio. 10/10 recommend. read more

They have a great menu with your "normal" dishes but they also have so many other dishes that are delicious! I ordered the Juan Special this last visit and was wowed by the flavor. This is the epitome of "average Americanized Mexican spot". Ceviche used cooked shrimp and pico mixed together. Not even a hint of lime. Margarita was so sweet not even sure there was any lime in that either. Sides for fajitas all served on hot plate - beans, rice cool - but guac, sour cream, and pico? Not great read more

The restaurant itself has a really good vibe when u walk in cause you can smell all the really.good.food.being cooked, so we sat down right away there wasn't a wait at all and they brought us salsa & chips right to the table and it was enough salsa for everyone at the table, the salsa was so good i could have drank it from the bottle. So we ordered our drinks, I ordered a Negra Modelo (Dark Lager) and the other guys ordered a large Margarita, now typically a large margarita is a pretty good size margarita but they had 5 different size options: Small, Medium, Large, Jumbo & Pitcher, the large was HUGE!!!! I would have been scared to even order the Pitcher because it might have just came out in a 5 gallon bucket. They really make sure they get you drunk here cause they put a quite a bit of tequila in it. So then I ordered the Cancun Burrito and this burrito was massive, it had steak, chicken, shrimp, green onion, sautéed onions, green peppers and a whole bunch of other stuff in it and it was delicious and to make things even better its not pricey at all. If your from out of town like me and you are gonna pass by Findlay, Ohio stop here and gran a bit to eat because I know they will send you packing with a few more bites when you leave because I couldn't eat all mine and I have the rest of it for lunch today. read more

Food is good. I had fajitas. Portions are large. Could easily split entrees. Better than most Mexican but this visit I was with large group and the server was not real attentive. Also ridiculous they charge $4 for a soda. Guacamole is bland so don't order that. read more

Wow!!! Stopped in for dinner [8pm on a Saturday night] on our way home. The parking lot was full. The restaurant was full. The interior was extremely clean. Staff members were everywhere and hustling. We were quickly seated and immediately served chips and salsa. The waiter took our drink and meal orders and had the chips and salsa refilled for us. Our meals were delivered shortly afterward and both my wife and my meal were piping hot and delicious!!! All the way home, my wife and I kept commenting on how great our dinner was. We will definitely eat here again and let anyone we know to stop in if they are traveling down I75 near Findlay OH. read more

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch based on the Yelp reviews. We were seated quickly. The salsa they brought was pretty disappointing and tasted of canned tomato sauce. We decided not to order anything expensive and stuck to the lunch menu. The food was ok, nothing to write home about. Nice portion sizes tho. Our drinks came fast and our order taken quickly but it was awhile before we were checked on again and I gave my daughter some of my water as she ran out of hers. Prices are about average for Mexican restaurants but I don't see us returning. We were definitely disappointed at this mediocre experience tho we hoped for better. read more

We have gone twice. Once during a busy Friday night and once during a slow lunch on a week day. The Friday night our food took forever, order was wrong, items missing and almost all of it was cold. They offered to remake some and they did and they didn't charge us for a meal. They did good to try to make up for it. So we attempted again like 2 weeks later. Food was awful, margaritas undrinkable (and I am not a picky drinker) and kids food was cold again. Service was good, but I think I'm done with it. The decor is very nice. Service is fast and polite. I ordered the Burrito Jalisco, and it was excellent. Large portion, with generous amounts of meat and fillings, rice, beans, and guacamole. My friend got the Cancun Taco Salad, and it was very large, with big shrimp and fillings. For both entrees, some of the peppers and onions were not chopped up very well, quite large.
