Such a fantastic Mexican restaurant!!! I loved the murals in the walls. Let's talk about the food...my husband ordered the super burrito and I had Chiro con Pollo...a chicken and chorizo dish's with rice, beans, and tortillas. The flavors were fantastic. The staff is friendly and attentive. I had an 1800 margarita and for the hubby Dos Equis on tap. One of our favorite local spots for delicious Mexican food!!!!! read more

Recommended by a family friend, we desperately wanted to like La Charrita. It is located on North Main Street in the northern end of the city limits. The decor was fun and authentically "Mexican Food restaurant" with all the clever signs and artwork. It appear that virtually all of the patrons were local. So far so good. There was a large party (approximately 14 people) in the next room that slowed service, but waiting over 45 minutes for our food to arrive, please, it wasn't that busy. Because it was slow, this should mean the food would be warm and freshly prepared, right? But no, it was cold. Another disappointment, the salsa had little flavor and very little spice. Almost Pace mild. My beef fajita burrito, was plentiful in onions and peppers but the beef was scarce. The refries, no flavor. There are several Mexican food restaurants in Findlay that are far superior. read more

The waitress was very nice but not very knowledgeable about combo dinners. I ordered a burrito, shredded beef, combo with rice, refired beans, side of guacamole. My husband ordered a chicken fajita platter combo. We waiting 40 mins for our dinner. She seemed confused most of the time. We had to ask for silverware, waited just as long for our beverages- 1 Pepsi and 1 very watered down margarita. Upon our food being brought to the table. Fajita meat was so tough, dry, missing vegetables. My plater was a surprise to say the least. All of my sides were in the burrito expect the guacamole, which was missing in action. I asked what this was? She said I told you all in one. It was a uncooked tortilla, with everything smashed inside??? Not what I ordered. I stopped a lady who seemed to be running the show- I explained I'd like a shredded beef burrito combo platter with a side of guacamole. And could we please have silverware, and my husband's beverage? She charged me $5 for each item. And it seem like a kids meal! I left a tip- I know what that is like working for tips. But I'll never patronize this establishment again! It seemed like something else had the staffs attention instead of preparing good food for new customers who are new to Findlay. O- Stars for this establishment! We had to give 1 star but it definitely was not worth 1 star. The food didn't have flavor, the refried beans looked like they were mixed with water or milk. Food was good (taquitos) but portion size of rice & beans a bit on the stingy side. Maybe they were just so tasty I couldn't get enough! Service was very slow, and when I complained at the register I was calmly told "we were busy tonight" as if that is a valid excuse. I'd eat there again but I don't think I'd rush to go back. read more

The service here was amazing yet the food was not very Mexican. It was good food just lacking in the Mexican flavor department. The food came out very quickly though and was fresh and hot. The salsa is a step above what I am used to at other Mexican places and we devoured that stuff like crazy. The flavor that is lacking though can be attributed to a regional thing and if I ever return I will let the server know we like more authentic flavors. My sister, Bev and I ate at this AWFUL restaurant because they always have a full parking lot on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday?! This restaurant was FILTHY! The carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in WEEKS! The tables were barely CLEAN! The staff looked sadly incompetent and uncaring?! Second Mexican restaurant in Findlay that I have tried. The service and margaritas are always excellent. My husband absolutely loves their carnitas and says they are the best, but this is the only restaurant he has had them in, so.....for myself, the food is good. I will say consistency is a bit off here at times. First time there I ordered shrimp fajitas with a chile relleno. The shrimp were great but chile relleno was ok, way too much cheese and a little too greasy. Had shrimp fajitas another time and the shrimp wasn't at all like I had before.
