I went to the right and found honey for your health, honey from around the area, and different products that either had bees on it or had honey in it. I found this super neat and I spent some time looking at the different items before settling on some honey from the area. Someone did come and say hello to me while I was shopping around. But then promptly went to help someone else that had walked in. Once I made my selections I went to wait to check out, lots to look at. It seems they have some bee keeping items and also have beekeeping classes. So, all around they support bees and I love that. There was a comment made in the shop by one of the workers that made another customer feel less included, but I don't think it was meant to be offensive. But I did happen to notice it and felt well, there's some validity to what was said. Nonetheless, great place to get honey and very lovely staff.

What better way to support small business in your area! My favorite is the "rubie red" honey, you hold it up to the light and it's a deep red and has a fantastic flavor..yum! The store sells everything honey and bee: honey, wax, propolis, mead, candies, gift sets, honey decantors, aprons and linens, and jewlery. This store also has classes for those interested in learning this art form. In the store they have a live hive you can look at from behind glass, facsinating! People may not like the high prices ($15-30 depending on the quantity and location honey is from) but it's to support our local artisans and the product is MUCH BETTER then any honey you will find in the grocery store. It's raw and unfiltered so all the healing properties are intact. I am a regular there, going weekly during the winter months to help keep my immune system strong.

One where you can purchase (without breaking the bank, might I add) seaweed specialty foods (like granola bars, sauces, teas), seaweed and sea inspired bath and body items (DYK: seaweed is rich in vitamins, minerals, and contains anti-inflammatory properties?!), seaweed and sea inspired home goods, and more. I believe most (if not all) of their items are also local and sustainably sourced. Could it get better? YES. Yep, some people would call it a typical tourist trap but it's actually a lot more than just tacky trinkets. Sure there is plenty of junky stuff and usual touristy things like stuffed toy lobsters., crummy t-shirts with ridiculous things printed on them, cheap plastic mugs, refrigerator magnets and various ornaments but the store is a good place to find useful beach items too. If you take the time to sift through some of the crap you can find sunglasses, beach chairs, sandals, hats, beach toys, umbrellas, suntan lotion and other things that you might need but probably forgot to bring to the beach. It actually is a fun place to poke around because there is so much stuff packed into the rather large store. Nothing really expensive in here, most of it is cheap and expendable but that is usually what you need on the beach. Cheap and tacky and useful and practical. If you need it on the beach you will probably find it in here.

Leapin has clearly marked sections to making it easier to find what you are looking for easier. They carry a wide variety of mediums from crystals to books to incense. Jewelry both made locally as well as from afar. The woman who assisted seemed a little awkward when asking for help. Could not make eye contact nor would she stay with me to answer any questions. She went from her chair behind the counter, pointed out the table with jewelry walking away from me to the bookshelf where she started to browse the books. The only thing I could think of was she was looking for a crystal book to assist? She did not though. I selected a gorgeous honey Amber necklace and three bracelets, next stones. If you've never been here before you learn that the stones call YOU. I have many examples of this happening to me and today was no exception. Then over to the incense area for a few boxes to stock up the house. I spent over $100 which seemed to make the woman happy, she had to do the bare minimum to make this sale. I do miss the women who've worked here who jump in and ask if they can help, stay available for any questions and are super happy you came in. Maybe she was having an off day, don't we all. On the minus side the variety once offered is no longer the case, seems like the whole thing has been scaled back considerably. I will now have to make my way up to the Freeport location and see what if anything has changed there. Happy they are still in our community.

It's a cute, quaint little shop that you may want to check out if you are ever in the area. That and the amount of people coming into a small store made me have to go thru this place rather quickly. Its essentially to full of stuff.
