This is a wonderful, cozy hotel. We had 2 doubles. Spacious room (400). Spotless clean. Kitchenware basics were new and clean. I was able to do a load of laundry (free). Hung out in the front lobby living room/ dining area and it felt very comfortable. Nice options for breakfast. Nice fitness room too. Great stay of 3 nights. read more

Hotel city for ELP is way far away from this IHG offering in the middle of seemingly nowhere on the NW side. I wanted to stay for 8 days and to occupy more room than the standard hotel offered so I picked this one based on reviews and price. We stayed at the Fairfield on my first visit which was plagued by king size bed dominating a tiny 150 sf room and beyond horrible internet speeds. We're gamers and we.... need... decent reliable connectivity. Fast forward to CW Suites and we had a wired speed of almost 200 MB almost the entire time. We were SO happy about that. The rooms seem to be either queen or two bed options, so we managed on one with a queen which was okay if not super comfortable. The blackout blind is doable for west Texas spring if you adjust it. Bathroom good. Just wish they had a little bigger desk for us to spread out our IT digs on. These units have a full sized frig, two burner electric stove, microwave, dishwasher and sink. These all served us well for me to make sausage with eggs and French toast on separate occasions. There's breakfast in early morning until 10 AM on weekdays but we never got up in time. Monday on our stay they had wings and carrots / celery dip for the evening offering. Thursday, they brought in Golden Corral biscuits, chicken tenders, corn and gravy. If you catch the in-house baked chocolate chip cookies they set out every day, get them! They taste just like homemade. They have a shop for amenities near the lobby that include free coffee and hot water to go with packets of tea and hot chocolate. There was a bowl of bananas, red apples and green apples every day. Everything else in there was chargeable to your room on the honor system which I don't think everyone there was executing. Laundry washers and dryers are also complimentary (AMAZING). You just got to supply the detergent and dryer sheets which they sell for $2 each. We didn't go into the business center, but it's there if you need to print something. I had one item sent to them over Amazon and they had it ready for me when I asked after it. All about price. If they have good rate for my next trip, I'm there. read more

Stayed here as I was driving through the enormously wide state of TX. The rooms were all suites and my room was a nice studio suite setup. We had a kitchen, bad, and sitting area. They did not have breakfast but we found some good spots in town. The houskeepers were so friendly and did a great job cleaning our room. The front desk gave me a cool suggestion on a local Mexican restaurant. I noticed they were also pet friendly, which is great! The hotel is located near the freeway so there was easy on and off access. Prices were very reasonable, will be back again when in El Paso. read more

So, here is how I rate this place. There are hotels, there are inns, there are inn and suites, suites, etc. You get the point. It's a Candlewood Inn and Suites, which wouldn't be quite fair to put it up against say an Omni Dallas or something. So that brings me to really just comparing it to Inn and Suites in general. You can get split level Inn and Suites out there so kinda hard to give a strong rating to Candlewood; however, I have stayed in them a lot. Their prices are fantastic and they have all the basic essentials like a pooper, shower, sink (in bathroom and kitchen), full fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, and fully stocked cabinets with plates etc. Their TVs are top notch and it is always really clean even if everything is really cheap looking. So I say all of that to say this, the meat and potatoes if you will, that the staff at this Candlewood El Paso is EXTRA ordinary or extraordinary whichever word makes you feel best. They also have like dinner nights on certain days of the week and breakfast mornings on certain days of the week. They really go above and beyond making sure you are comfortable and feel right at home! For $90 bucks a night, you really can't beat it with a football bat. read more

I picked this place to stay while visiting my Mom because it was the closest. I haven't been in a Candlewood before but I am sooo glad I picked this place!! So its like a short term suite hotel. Almost full kitchen. Dishwasher, full size fridge, microwave , small stove top, perfect for a few days. I was traveling with my two girls. They loved it as well.. great water pressure in the shower, everything was a great size. AC can get super cold (probably why I have a sore troat now ;-) and the views of the Franklin Mountains outside is great. There is a complimentary meal brought a few times a week in the lobby. First come first served from a near by Golden Corral. Complimentary fruits, cereals and coffee in the mornings. One thing that would of been cool is a swimming pool. Not a deal killer by any means. Next time I come back to ELP, I am staying here again. read more

Candlewood turned out to be better than expected. I got a nice clean room in good condition, with everything I needed. The laundry room and mini mart on the first floor were great. I also brought my dog and had no problems. They have a grass patch and poop bags in the back. After just staying at a motel 6 for only $20 less (it was disgusting) this feels like a 5-star hotel. Only thing is I wish they did a flat rate per stay for dogs, instead of a daily fee of $25. All employees I have interacted with have been nice and helpful. read more

The hotel and room were nice enough, but the staff sure made the stay unpleasant. On my recent trip across country I joined the IHG rewards club. I did this since I would be staying in so many hotels that I figured I might as well be rewarded with a free night or whatever. Because of this, every hotel I stayed at was affiliated with IHG and I would get points for staying. Every hotel I stayed at also offered me a little something, a free coffee or snack while checking in, except for this place. After driving nonstop from Houston to El Paso I was eager to get off the road. I looked on the IHG app and found this place. It seemed to have everything I was looking for at the right price, reward points and a bed. Once I got there I immediately went to check in. They had a big basket of snacks labeled IHG on the counter. When I asked for one they told me I could either have a single candy bar, or my points for my entire stay. This didn't seem right, why would I potentially exchange a Reese's for a free nights stay? When I questioned this, they said it's the way it should be everywhere. This sure seemed to be pretty shady and put a bad taste in my mouth. This one incident alone wouldn't rate for a bad review, but on about three occasions I came across employees bickering with each other. read more

The people here are super, the rooms are nice, the location has plenty of entertainment options within a short walk. I like being able to cook or heat leftovers in the room and not have to constantly eat out while in EP. The EP cuisine is the best but I need to resist!! Two more words: free laundry. read more

Stayed at Candlewood during a last minute trip to El Paso and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was extremely reasonably priced which made us a bit hesitant but so glad that we choose this hotel for our stay. The hotel is modern, cozy and super clean. They also offer many amenities such as a gym, washer and dryers which are free, additionally you can rent appliances, books, DVDs, and board games for free. This is a beautiful place to stay! Spacious room with full kitchen (oven and microwave) including dishes and utensils. Coffee maker, toaster, Stainless steel fridge and Dishwasher! This location is perfect for me- it's off of I 10 but convenient to major freeways . it's quiet and very clean; note there is no free breakfast but there is a coffee bar. Laundry is free and the gym is the typical tiny room but the location and close to McKelligan Canyon for great hiking and outdoor concerts. Both Applebee's and Walmart are nearby. read more

Put in a room next to a stairwell. The vent at the top of the starwell and the wind at night cause vibrations and noise similar to that of a jackhammer. Asked for a new room at 12am but they were "full." Didn't sleep at all, worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. Hotel staff were unapologetic and didn't seem to care. Elma Smith, the property manager, only replied with a form letter, not addressing the problem at all. Since the design flaw isn't going to be fixed by management, make sure you don't stay in a room by a stairwell, or you're on your own once you check in. Shame on management. read more

This place is great! First, they accept pets with a fee, but the pets were no issue. On top of that, they have free laundry, a small business center, and a little convenience store type thing downstairs that has little snacks and some microwave meals. On top of that they have a lending closet for things like board games, movies, waffle makers, crock pots, and other cooking items. They've also got a gym and it's one of the better hotel gyms I've been to. It's small, don't get me wrong, but not busy, good variety of equipment, and in great repair! The rooms are decent size. I've 3 adults, a 16 y/o and a 5 y/o and we took 2 rooms. There's a full kitchen with a full fridge along with dishes, pots and pans, which made our stay much more comfortable. Cable TV with HBO, walking distance to a steak restaurant and a large movie theater. There's a small park for kids about a mile away. Walmart is about a mile and there are many other stores and such up that way. Great location, super staff, clean rooms... Over all I'm thrilled with my 3 week stay. read more

Really great hotel! The best one my husband and I have stayed at, since we got stationed here. A trillion times better than the IHG hotels on base. It's super relaxing as soon as you walk inside. My husband and I, got there on a Thursday night, and the man at the front desk was very nice and patient with us, when we had to call our bank to tell them to unlock our funds, which they do every pay day/bill paying day lmao. Once it got sorted out, he accepted our payment, and told us about the movies and games we were welcome to. He showed us the free gym and laundry, the business center, and told us about everything around, such as restaurants and movie theaters. We thanked him, and went to our room. BRUH. It was beautiful and came with a full kitchen, full fridge, utensils, etc. The bed was comfy, and we immediately turned on the TV, since we don't have one at home. We drifted off to sleep, and it was one of the best sleeps we've had since moving here, and I'm pregnant with twins, so sleep is hard to come by. My friend and I stayed here while we were moving her from Philly to San Diego. We needed an adequate, clean and quiet place to stay and really nothing more because we were arriving in the evening and leaving early the next morning to continue west. I reserved online and asked for a quiet room. When we arrived, the room seemed fine. Not great but okay. However, we appeared to be the only women, staying in a hotel full of guys who were longer-term residents, which was a little disconcerting. Then, it turned out the first floor room we had was directly under a room occupied by a rodeo king who stomped around, opening and closing doors, and it sounded like he was moving furniture. When I called to complain the second time at midnight, I was told that he'd been there for while and had been pretty good but they'd had problems with him recently! A very nice woman made a modest adjustment on our bill, but it didn't make up for the loss of sleep and aggravation. 2 stars for the room and the nice front desk staff, but minus 3 stars for the rest. Women travelers and/or light sleepers might want to find another hotel, and everyone who does stay should insist on a room on an upper floor. read more
