What a wonderful experience I had. I rented an arch from them for my Wedding at Tom Lea Upper Park…read more Not only was the arch amazing but they went above and beyond. My Aunt was trying to help me save a few dollars and rented some chairs for me from somewhere else. Unfortunately, the chairs were really ugly. Imagine Events saw my predicament and when I was venting to them about the chairs from the other place, they helped save the day. They quickly ran back, got me some bows for my chairs that matched the color scheme of our wedding (effectively covering the ugly chairs). They also brought a table so I may use for the sand ceremony. The arch was beautiful, the chairs now inviting for guests, and the table for the sand ceremony helped to make the wedding as beautiful as you would see in a movie. Thank you sooo much Imagine Events!

I felt they guided us and communicated with us very well in what we needed to do. They're experience also helped us make better decisions along the way. I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to enjoy the wedding day without worrying. The Mother of the bride.

The waitstaff never approached us to offer coffee or tea just one time. They just showed up to serve the food nothing else we had to stand up and look for them to Ask for something. The self-serve mimosa station was not prepared, l signed a contract that said serve self mimosas not that l have to make them !!! me as an organizer l had to prepare them and I ended up serving the guests myself. When I asked the manager to help me and prepare the mimosas for an extra cost, she rudely responded that none were available and she could show me how to make them !! For that, l can do it at my house. I have photos and videos to support my claims. Overall, an unprofessional and disappointing experience." Not recommend them at all!!

We settled on 150 Sunset Event Center because they appeared to be legitimately professional, yet easy going. We set the date for our party on May 11, 2024 and made a FULL payment of $12,500 a full year before the date. The $12,500 did not include all the extra perks that we would be discussing during our subsequent trip back to El Paso on June 23rd-27th 2023, to sample the venues food and plan some of the additional details for our party: florist, DJ, music, mariachis, dessert table, decorations, featured cocktail, etc., which we were fully aware that we would be billed additional charges associated with the added incidentals. $$$ Earlier this week one of the event coordinators from 150 Sunset called me to tell me that the contract for the event we'd agreed to and that had already been paid for in full, per their contract, had not been signed yet. I apologized and told her that my sister had been very busy with work, but I would call her to make sure she signed and return it that same day. I also advised her that she wasn't tech savvy and I offered to sign the contract myself since if it needed to be done ASAP. I phonetically spelled out my email so she could send the contract to me, but I never received anything. I also called my sister to tell her that the contracted needed to be signed and returned by the end of the day. The contract was signed and submitted that same day to one of the many emails that she was given. The next day the event manager emailed my sister telling her that because of the lack of communication, she thought it best to cancel the entire event. I totally get that the contract hadn't been signed, but they did have the full payment. The fact that the contract was returned, maybe not to the correct person within the organization, a quick search would've confirmed that it was returned, but it was signed and returned. So now, instead of going to sample food at 150 Sunset, we'll be flying back out to El Paso from out of state to look for a whole new venue. We're extremely disappointed with how this was all handled. We're not denying any blame, since we agree that the contract hadn't been signed until the last minute, but the full amount for our event had been paid over a year before the party was supposed to take place and that should've been taken into account. The lack of communication was just the excuse given to cancel our event. We're awaiting a full refund on the entire amount ($12,500) that was paid and we're hoping that transaction is dealt with in a much more professional manner. I'm wondering if our event was canceled because they double booked or they were offered more money to host another party on the same day? Either way, I don't believe this how business should be conducted and hope others don't have to go through with the same headache we went through. P.S. All checks/money was mailed back 3 days ago.

It cannot! Had I known, I would have booked somewhere else. She excuses this by saying "I told the DJ, he had too much equipment and he was going to trip the breaker" When I booked she never told me there were any equipment restrictions. This particular DJ has been doing this for 15 years and has never had any problems at other venues. The hall is not set up to have DJ's. If you don't want a DJ you might be okay except that was not the only problem. So as we were getting sporadic music, the lights begin to flicker. Unfortunately that night there was a rain storm. As a consequence my guests begin to feel a mist of water falling from the ceiling. Then water came pouring down from every airconditioning vent. Many of my guests were getting wet and had to find other places to sit. Water begin to come in from all the doorway exits and wetting the floor. some of my guests begin moping up the floor as it was dangerous and slippery. The jumping balloon where the kids were playing was also getting wet from a vent right above it If you walked around behind the jumping balloon you could see the electrical connections to the jumping balloon were also getting saturated with water. Of course, it was turned off eliminating the fun for the kids. I had bought a pastry cart and had been promised coffee availability but both coffee makers were not working because the breaker had been tripped because there was too much electrical currency that could not be accommodated by the circuit breaker. I was embarrassed at having booked such a low class faulty hall. Had I known of course would not have booked this place. When Miriam left she neglected to tell me that Paz Quintana was supposed to stay there. It didn't matter cause he was not there anyway and when he did show up, he couldn't do anything. He was no help. Its too late for me but I am concerned about future DJ and jumping balloon parties there because it cannot handle the electrical needs for that and Miriam did not indicate she was going to cease them until this was fixed. The way it is right now it is a dangerous hazard. I am afraid for the public and embarrassed for myself.

Working with him to plan for the initial cocktail hour, the introduction of the wedding party through a formal dinner and then dancing helped make it special for us and our guests! Our reception hosted a great mix of 20 through 80-year-old people and Chris found the right music for everyone. Nobody left the dance floor all night! And his orchestration of the Dad/Daughter Dance, Bride/Groom and the speeches was exceptional. Chris is both a showman and a tremendous professional whose ability to use his microphone to make everyone feel welcome both surprised us and had us and our family members not wanting to leave! We were both surprised and pleased to work with him. Chris and his team were all very courteous and DJ'd with professionalism and class. The music was perfect for all 5 hours of the event, where everyone felt they were included in the celebration. A true sign that he helped create a magical night is that many people asked for copies of the playlist. Everyone had a great time and stated it was the best wedding in our family ever. His creativity of the music and lighting selection as well as wall art and cloud were money well spent and we hope everyone gets to work with him! Many people told us he was the best DJ they had ever worked with, and we must agree. Our highest recommendation for Chris and his team. He is welcome to come to all of our future family parties!
