1/10/25 My previous PMU eyebrow lady retired so I was on the hunt for a new person. I live in Buena Park and found many talented artists. I ultimately decided to go with Candy due to a coworker recommendation. Her brows turned out well so I felt confident in booking. I sent a text to candy with my four year old microbladed brows. She said she would get back to her layer. 1/11/25 I received a follow up on previous day inquiry. She provided microshading and removal and microblading price. Since I am an impatient person, I didn't opt to do the removal since I'd have to wait another 3 weeks before micro blading. Candy got me in the same day for microshading. She asked me to come 30mins before my appointment for numbing cream but her last client went over time so I didn't get it applied early. Not a big deal. She didn't rush through numbing process. Her precision for measurements were great. I wanted to adjust my existing brows to be a bit wider than before. She also tried to adjust the start point and height. She gave me realistic expectations since I didn't have virgin brows. The micro shading part definitely hurt. I don't think the numbing did much. She said the right brow would hurt more since she had to color correct before shading the new brows. It definitely reminded me of the saying pain, no gain. I appreciate her taking the time for each client. I didn't feel rushed at all. Once it was complete, I checked the brows and tried to have her fix some boo boos. It was hard to explain it. The color seemed off and the start of my right brow was a bit off. I also had a red mark underneath my right brow. She said once it heals, she can fix it. We were both puzzled by the red mark. She said it may have been a scratch. I thought it was a stain from ink. Either way, i decided to wait a few days before making a judgement. Before I left, she recommended me to get my eyeliner re done. They are 14 years old. She said she'd give me a deal to remove the bottoms and redo the top liner. I agreed to the price and understanding it would only remove 80% of old ink from the bottom liner. I booked her again for the next day. 1/12/25 I returned to her my eyeliner re done and removal of bottom liners. I went with a simple liner without much wing design right over my old work. She did a great job and I had no issues. The laser removal of the bottoms were stingy which she already prepped me for. She explained some odd skin colors will return to normal after a few days. Professionalism 10/10: she is very nice and careful with her work. I can tell she values what she does. Setting 7/10: I am used to more modern places so it was a bit surprising when I visited. I am a super glove conscious user so certain applications cringed me a bit since there were no gloves on. Results 9/10: eyebrow tint took a few days to calm and peel per usual. The concern area remain and the shade was lighter than I expected. When I asked her about it, she said the touch up would be additional which I did not anticipate. My bad for not thoroughly asking the meaning of "fix" during the procedure. Upper eyeliner came out well 10/10. Lower eyelid laser removal of tattoo 4/10. I honestly could not tell much difference in the shading. Left under eye red dots still have not resolved 11 days later (she did say this will take time). Conclusion: I appreciate Candy's service attitude and detailed mapping of the new brows. The numbing cream strength could have been better. I wish the fix for the boo boo was included in the original price. She did let me know she already gave me a discount for non fill and did not charge for additional color correction. While I appreciated this, I did not have my concern resolved. I appreciate Candy's niceness and attention to details but I will remain on the hunt of an artist closer to home for the future. read more
