Also, I can find everything I ever need. Seriously. From eggs, to wine, to super glue and toilet paper. They also have the Asian brand ramens that I like. The owners are awesome. The main guy that we just call "Bob" is always smiling and glad to see me when I come in. We even talk about my hobbies on occasion. The wife is a sweetheart, as is the other dude that works there. Whoever has bad things to say about this place is just plain stupid. I love going here and will continue to do so until I leave he neighborhood.

Michael, the owner, has since started the hot food again to offer. The staff, Mo x3 lol, John, (redbeard man) has made sure that customer service is everything and all food is freshly made and honest. It's Southeast Portland and it's hard to deal with the clientele that shows up and they deal with it with Grace. I don't think I've ever left a review for a gas station but since this is my neighborhood go to, I will give them kudos for taking into account and listening to their regular clientele. That's what makes things work being involved with your neighborhood. Back to the note of the hot food, the hot dogs are great quality, not cheap stuff, I'm happy so far. Be patient with what they're trying out and give them your thoughts, they're open what works. PS: Get a separate counter for the lottery people it really holds everyone else up in line.

There is no surcharge or minimum amount for credit card transactions!!! This is huge for me, as I could see myself walking a 1/2 mile to 7-11 to avoid that. No cashback but an ATM is available. Their staff is very friendly, helpful, and commutative. You will always be treated as a human and not a customer. A respect that you won't find at either of the nearby 7-11's both locations where I've experienced very unfriendly clerks. This is a clean nice store, run by nice people. This store is pretty comprehensive with their selection, maybe missing an item or two but I've requested items to be stocked and seen them in the store some time later. The produce they carry is always great, they also carry some preferable brands that can't be found at 7-11. (Umpqua ice cream!). They have some deals. I have noticed though that a snack run sometimes can be more than you anticipated. Not sure what it is that I buy that makes the price jump. I find at 7-11 I spend less money but I prefer Super Market by far for the larger selection of beer, friendliness, remembering my face, and better brands/products. Some of the deals I go for... Two energy drinks for $3 Two Candy bars for $2 (Some big candy bars too) Two Hostess for $3 Two Bananas for $1 Two Corndogs for $1.80 They have coffee, donuts, and a soda fountain at really good prices. Idk about that 1 star review for this place but in my experience If the guy behind the counter seems rude or jerkish, You're being messed with! They are always super friendly! Expect them to break out of character and put on a smile just before you think they're being for-real. Unless you're actually a jerk, in that case this isn't the store for you. The deli food selection was pretty good, they had a lot of prepackaged options, a poke station, pizza, salad bar, and hot food bar. The sandwiches were all premade, which was the only downside. We also were able to pick up some sauce/marinade that was from a local PDX restaurant, glad they had it in stock since we forgot to get it at the restaurant!

Also, there are always lots of cute little gifts up front. Recently, I was looking for a specific banana cake for a birthday gathering right after work. I only had 30 mins to hopefully find something and I couldn't find anything on the shelves. That's when Jennifer in the bakery department paused stocking items to run to the back and cut a slice from a large sheet. She was planning to cut it later but saw my dilemma and dropped everything to help me out. Her help really helped me out in a pinch and made the birthday gathering for my friend a success.

Since I was already there, I ventured through. Huge bags of shredded carrots, prepackaged bags of chopped salads and other produce nearing expiration date for just a $1. I grabbed two. Containers of cut up watermelon, cantaloupe as well as whole bananas and other produce very cheap. Picked up an onion to use for that night's dinner. Didn't want to buy anything I couldn't use immediately as these veggies are a day or two away from going bad. Shelves and carts filled with canned pantry items, cereals, breakfast bars all nearing expiration - good for families that go through these items weekly. By the checkout there were some Chocolove and Theo chocolate bars. These are high end chocolate bars that usually sell for $3.99 a bar and here they were just a $1 with an expiration of Dec 2021 so I picked up two. That alone was worth the stop! Items move fast which is why the store is in a constant stage of unpacking. Huge outdoor area with produce located close to street - don't forget to check it out. In addition to produce they had 6 packs of bottled water, huge containers of pretzels, bags of dog food and other items.. Very random, no rhyme or reason, seems like items are placed where there is room. Friendly owner and staff, everyone chatting with everyone; clearly there are lots of regulars. They take credit cards. Parking out front. I missed the turn into the lot so parked around the corner by the Goodwill and walked over. This store is exactly what it is. A market that takes in items close to expiration and liquidates on the cheap. It's not New Seasons! So as long as you set your expectations and you have a need for these type of items, it's all good. For me, this was a one and done.
