    Everything is priced to sell.

I'm part of a growing number of grocery store employees known as "The Working Poor" so Im on the lookout for deals of any kind. I often frequent places like Grocery Outlet and such. On my first visit to everyday deals I knew it wasn't glamorous, but the prices are the lowest anywhere. The store is small, cluttered and the cashier is slow, but where else are you going to buy a box of wine for $6? Their canned goods, snacks, frozen food and produce are a real bargain. If you're on a budget then you should swallow your pride and visit this store.

Beautifully displayed apples-they taste even BETTER than they look-and that's saying something!

Consistently fresh produce that's always ripe and ready. Don, Christian, Wendy and the rest of the crew are very knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and make the overall experience enjoyable. I go not only because the prices are far better than those at large grocery stores, but also because I love the idea of buying and supporting small business owners and helping them establish roots in this wonderful city. Tip-bring your growler if you need a fill up!!

Morrow Bros Produce Market from the street

This is a great place to find bulk amounts of produce on the cheap! We find this very useful for Juicing, dehydrating, or whatever other culinary projects we have lined up. Love being able to support our area with local produce selections. Be sure to check Groupon for little deals here and there! The staff is friendly, and helpful too! But as others have stated, you need to be a smart shopper. I occasionally will find an item that is expired, but there are signs warning you to check the expiration dates, so no harm done so far. We really enjoy the "Hazelwoods Habenero Salsa" they sell there. Its got a nice kick to it! This is a little gem on 82nd when you know how to shop with them. I recommend this Produce market to all my friends in the area.

    Full cart!!

I love Morrow Brothers so much. They have some of the best produce in my area and for sure the best prices. We eat tons of fruits and veggies and go through them rather quick so this is the perfect place to stock up without breaking the bank and I can get organic! There are usually deals going on when I'm in. Unlike my other local organic stores close by, I'm not paying 10 bucks for a bag of grapes! Today, I scored 3 cases of tomatoes for 99 cents! Also, a cool little fun fact is that they sell a good little variety of beers by the bottle and you can get your growler filled with some great local brews!! I discovered Pyramids apricot beer here. So delicious!! Staff, for the most part, are very friendly and sweet. The vegetables seem to be on constant care. There is usually always some checking to make sure the shelves are fully stocked, veggies cleaned and watered and customers are doing alright. It also helps that they are always playing some classic jams like Al Greens "Let's stay together".

All for $20, best deal in town!!! Even better, some is organic... thanks Morrow Bros!!!

I unfortunately have become a lot less mobile - standing for long periods very much harms my leg tissue so i need to limit standing which means that I am not able to cook as much as I would like to. Prepared foods are such a tragedy. Having veggies cut up in advance is such a time saver sometimes! I used to avoid it because the word fresh was a joke but Safeway had such a great selection of very well priced and fresh fruit and vegetables. Also, those horrifically large veggie trays with some ranch - they have small single servings! I go to things like Shakespeare in the Park so grabbing a wrap sandwich and some veggies for snacking is wonderful! Also, cut up bowls of fresh fruit. There are quite a few selections of different small meats, cheeses with crackers and/or nuts. It is so nice to have options for those of us who forgot our lunch too! They are much less than the fast food options and far better for you as well. This location really seems to run a tight ship where everything, even during a pretty busy afternoon was neat and tidy which is appreciated. I even got fast, knowledgeable help from a passing by employee which is always great, especially when there seems to be a BBQ rush of people in the store.

And the people that work here have been so nice to us. Even when you get to the registers and it might be packed, they are SO fast to open up new registers and unclog quickly! Notice the quality of the meats and veggies! Wow, better than Freddy's, IMHO and the prices... I mean... who sells London Broil for $4.99 / lb anymore. Wanna get an idea how much Kroger is making off you by not dropping prices after the pandemic allowed them to go up to automatic gouging level? My wife and I came in to grab a few items and when we reached the register, the manager was berating our cashier about some (seemingly to us) minor mistake that happened prior to our arrival - the gist - because we heard so much about it - was essentially that whatever action she had taken may have caused a customer to have a bad experience at the checkout - which is ironic. He was beating a horse dead on the topic throughout our entire time checking out. It was clearly making her uncomfortable, as well as us. We had little to no interaction with her as she checked our items because he kept coming back with more to say. Even we get it dude! Enough Near the end of the transaction, she was obviously flustered and rightfully so, but tried to start a conversation with us anyway to bring things around - and he came back AGAIN with more to say! I imagine any turnover they get at this location is in part to this micromanagement style - even we told him he's being too much and too hard on her and to give her some space. It was a really icky experience and is the sole reason we will drive further down the road to visit another TJ's location instead. He was insufferable and if we experienced that as customers, there's no doubt the employees feel that way too.

And the people doing it were just glaring at me like I was the issue. It was super frustrating, especially as the store's customer foot traffic kept increasing since it was a Monday before Christmas around the 8am hour.
