Stopped in for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. The inside is really nice, half the space is a specialty shop filled with local goodies, perfect for souvenirs or gifts. The other half is the café/restaurant with a bar area and tables, giving it a clean, welcoming vibe. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich ($9), which comes with chips and a soda. This was my first time having raisins in chicken salad, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but it worked! The sandwich was fresh and tasty, and the portion was just right for a light lunch. I was in the area and feeling a bit parched and needed to stretch my legs. I got a slice of the pecan pie and a slice of the apple pie because I really could not decide. They were amazing and I look forward to coming back and visiting again and try some more pie. Very cute gem in New Iberia. Cozy atmosphere, quiet, and a perfect spot for a date with your loved ones or just friends. Menu is catered to a more refined taste. The tomato basil soup and chicken salad sandwich was perfection. The side cocktails for an adult beverage is also a very nice touch. Desserts of course are a must! So many choices. I finally got a chance try a "piece of pie" from Cane River Pecan Company's Pie Bar that just newly opened in downtown New Iberia. This place BLEW me away indeed; from the Turamisu Pecan Pie, to the Croque Madam sandwich, and the homemade Burnt Blood Orange ice cream. I was passing through New Iberia on my way to Houma to do a weekend of fishing. A buddy told me to check out Cane River Pecan Co to grab some snacks for our trip. I consider myself a pretty healthy guy and I hoped this was the right place to get some local snack. WOW just WOW!! Their roasted and salted pecans were AMAZING! I have had stuff at other places before. These pecans blew the others out of the water. They were crunchy and savory a PERFECT fit for a Ketogenic diet and even if your not they can be used as a holdover until your next meal. The selection inside the store was huge. Went there on Saturday, October 22, really excited to see the new Pie Bar. My friend and I both ordered a biscuit, jelly and sausage. Her order came out within 4 minutes mine took 16 minutes. Two tables after us got thier food before me. When my order did come out I had to ask for the forgotten coffee. I saw a post that said all the food is made from scratch. I guess that is why the biscuit and sausage were served cold. All while four employees chatted behind the counter. My cousin and I visited this location two weeks ago. The chicken salad was horrible. And the pralines were worst. We did enjoy the pecan pie. But it was not worth $8.00 a slice. I gave the worker $25.00 towards the bill. She put the money in the register and swore that I only gave here $15.00. I will never visit the location again. read more

Wow, this place needs more five star reviews because it is great! What a welcome addition to the half vacant historic Main Street of New Iberia! The place is gorgeous, but still fits in with its surroundings, the lunch was amazing. I absolutely loved the rosemary cranberry chicken salad sandwich, the pecan pie was incredible as were all the other desserts we tried. My daughter loved the quiche. The adjoining gift shop was a bit pricey, but had awesome gifts that were all Cajun themed, Louisiana themed or even New Orleans themed. The items were very unique and thoughtfully, sourced, definitely a notch up from your usual souvenir shop. read more

They have recently added some cool t-shirts with local expressions on them. In the freezer section pick up a Boudin Pie. The best crust filled with local Boudin and topped with creamy sweet potato is fabulous. I ordered some pecans from their website last year for gifts for Christmas and kept one for myself as a treat. I opened the box containing the gift set and found they put 2 expired boxes (expired at beginning of 2018) in the gift set and one that hadn't expired. This is deceptive and devious, now I wonder if the gifts I gave had expired pecans in them and my friends noticed. Never ordering from them again, buyer beware!!! read more
