However the owner who was on site opened it up just for them. That's Texas hospitality at it's best. As I waited in the car for the girls, I was intrigued by the uniqueness of the property. It was whimsical, antiqued and reminiscent all rolled into one. As the girls came out of the shop a little later, they really enjoyed themselves and said it was very delicious wine. Part of it is the fact that it is in the middle of nowhere. Even going up the driveway there is some apprehension at what awaits. Once you get there, though, it's a beautiful spot. A tasting room set in the middle of a vineyard on a hill surrounded by trees. A great surprise. There is a fairly large selection of wines to fit all kinds of tastes. Even people who have a hard time finding something they like will probably find something to their taste. The flights are well worth it. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. As for food, they make their own homemade pizza which was excellent. Except for the fact that it's on the smaller side, I would actually put this up against any place in Fredericksburg.
