I was really looking forward to trying their Dr Pepper BBQ brisket pizza but unfortunately, they were out. I ordered a Margherita instead and it was pretty good. The pizza oven (i believe wood fired) was in full view from the bar. They have about 12 beers on tap and a few seltzers. I got a coconut stout, 2 IPA's and a Kolsch. Their large outdoor seating area had over half the tables filled and there was a line at the bar. Anywho, I ordered my usual flight and got a Bock, a Kolsch and 2 IPA's. The beers were all solid but nothing that wow'd me per se. If I had to pick I'd say the Hop-a-Doches (hazy IPA) was my favorite of the group. The best part is that the flight of 4 beers was only 9.00. A steal! I wasn't hungry but there was a shed that served pizza in the courtyard. They had a baked potato pizza as the special that day and it was weird enough that I almost ordered one despite being full. There was also a food truck serving Mediterranean food but that may have been a rotating thing. The people were very nice, the place was cool and the beer was cheap.

I've told so many people about these picnic tables since I first saw them at Lucky 19. Near the picnic tables, they have an area designated to lawn games for their customers to enjoy. I also love that their patio is dog friendly. With Lucky 19's close proximity to the State Park, this makes it an easy stop for lunch and a refreshing beverage after a hike with your doggo. They have an on-site food truck that serves bar type food ranging from burgers & chicken sandwiches to soft pretzels & funnel cake fries. They also have canned soft drinks & bottled water available to purchase. They have a good variety of beers on tap. If you're a beer drinker, you're sure to find something for your taste. Their Bearkat Blonde Ale seems to be the most popular, as it's a salut to the local university. But they also have light beers, hoppy beers, and darker varieties of beers available. You can buy by the glass or you can do a flight and try four different beers. If you find something you like, they also have six-packs or cases of beer you can purchase & take home. B-52 also brews 11 Below's beers so they have both available in the tap room. I got my standard flight which consisted of a stout, 2 IPA's and a doppelbock. All of them were pretty good but the doppelbock was phenomenal. The best I have ever had for that style. It was a little chocolately, malty, and sweet. They had a pizza kitchen onsite that looked tasty. The outdoor sitting area is very nice, lots of trees so it feels like you are at a campsite. They also have an indoor sitting area but it's not much on atmosphere.

I first thought it was wallpaper made to look like Life magazine pages, but some pages seemed to be peeling. The furniture was mismatched like estate sale items picked up from people who wanted to think they were high class in the 1960's. You could probably still smell Lucky Stripes every time you sat on the seat cushions. There was no music playing and there were only 6 or 7 (don't you dare do that 6-7 thing with your hands while reading this!) other people inside. So, I had to listen to this pretentious group talking about opera, the child welfare system and other topics while their noses were up and pinkies were out. There was an older guy on the opposite end of the room that seemed to be loudly mocking them. He thanked me for coming as I was leaving.... was he the owner? LOL. I ordered my standard flight from a very nice lady that seemed to be new. I got 2 IPA's (Mongoose Slayer and Striker IPA) that were solid, a Black Venom stout that was ok and a Belgian Quad (Medusa) that I wasn't fond of. There are no food options, but I assume there are food trucks from time to time. The outdoor area has a few games and tables and a more normal atmosphere. If they had some music to drown out Lilith and Frasier, I'd go back and give them a try.
