Terrible experience with my cat. I went in to pick her up, handed Jan $40 which she gladly accepted. I noticed my cat was agitated and she had her paw on her crate where I could see her nails were not clipped. I questioned Jan and said she just did not do it because she tried to bite her. She also did not brush her rear because my cat would not let her. I have never had a complaint from any groomer or from Jan before. Jan verbally abused me in front of a customer while trying again as I was holding my cat telling me not to tell my cat she was ok. Jan's voice rose and said I am not doing this while you are telling her it is ok to bite me. Strange experience. Will not ever recommend this groomer. I so agree with Joel H. post on Nov 7, 2025. I took my dog here twice. Huge mistake. Both of these incidents happened with the owner. The first time my dog was three months old and his nails were cut way too short and he was bleeding, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt since he was an energetic puppy even though she tried to hide it from me. The second time I came in her dogs were running around the shop and barked at us when we came in. My dog barked back at them and she yelled at me that I needed to get my dog training because he didn't know how to behave. She then came out front, got mad when she saw I had my daughter with me, and said I needed to get down on the ground and hold my dog so she could trim his nails. I was eight and a half months pregnant and had no business doing that, but she didn't seem to care. Her dogs were still barking at us and when I tried to put my toddler down she cried because she was afraid of them. When I told her I wouldn't be able to hold my dog she got upset and slammed my dog against the wall and tried to muzzle him. I grabbed my dog's leash from her, told her we would try a different day, and left feeling absolutely furious. 1) I have never gone to a groomer and been told I needed to hold my dog down. If that was the case I would do it at home and not pay someone to do it. 2) Walking in to her dogs jumping on the counter barking at us was very unprofessional and it was crazy to me that she immediately got upset that my dog barked back. She continuously made comments about me needing to get my dog training (which we have) whenever he responded to her being rough with him or her dogs aggressively barking. Any dog, no matter how well trained, wouldn't respond well to that situation. 3) When I made the appointment she told me I would be dropping my dog off and picking him up, but as soon as I walked in she told me I needed to hold him. Her being frustrated that I had my toddler and was too pregnant to get down on the ground was very out of line when I had no idea I was expected to help. 4) SLAMMING MY DOG AGAINST THE WALL. At that point he wasn't barking, was whining and trying to hide behind me and was very clearly afraid. For her to do that in front of me and act like it was no big deal makes me wonder how she treats animals when the owners aren't there. I have never been so upset in my life. Do not bring your dog here!!!! I know there are more important things going on in our world right now, but I have to express how pissed off I am. I made an appointment about a week ago, the owner told me to bring Ben (our four year old golden) in at 8:30 am today and to pick him up around 2pm. It is now 3:15pm and he is finally getting his grooming. He has been in a cage all day!!! Ben does not like crates, and was so upset when I dropped him off. So she had my baby in a cage from 8:30 am to around 3pm? Why not tell me to bring Ben in at 2pm and work on him when you are ready?!? When I finally got him home he drank his entire bowl of water and I had to refill it because he wanted more then went and begged to go outside to pee. Did they not give him water all day? Or let him out to pee? Never again!!! read more

Brought our older Lab in for a nail trim. She was very accommodating and came out to our vehicle to complete the nail trimming which was done quickly and efficiently. I especially liked that she seemed to care about our senior dog's overall health. We will continue to use her services in the future. read more

Would not go to this place if they paid for the grooming. I tried to make an appointment and literally had to jump through hoops. They wanted all his shot records from A to Z which I do not have in my back pocket. I was out of town, the person who answered the phone was rude and not a caring person. Why would I want an establishment to touch my priced procession. One star was way to much. I have noticed other grooming facility's are rated by far higher. Suggest you skip this establishment and move on to another grooming facility. This service came recommended however I would never refer anyone here! When grooming my Bichon Frise she clipped off moles on his left hip & leg, causing a massive infection in the areas and a $100 vet bill. The owner said my sweet, loving dog tried to bite her repeatedly while grooming, which is totally not his personality and never happened before. We were given an appointment time of 8:30 and were told our dog could be picked up at 3:00. We arrived on time only to see our dog being groomed and told it would be ten minutes more. After checking back two times, our dog was finally ready at 3:40. This would have been okay but the groomer did a poor job. Our poodle's coat was uneven with long chunks of hair sticking out. Her face was not trimmed short enough and her feet were all uneven. She chastised us for not brushing our fog a lot and manhandled our dog demonstrating how easy it was. If I could give 0 stars I would. Took my rescue dog there because of the reviews on yelp and she acted disgusted when I brought him in. She even asked me why I didn't get him from a breeder. My response to her was "maybe because there's thousands of dogs who die in shelters everyday" and her response was "that's nice". I will never be bringing him back here. I talked to my coworker about it and she said she once heard her screaming and cussing at the dogs to "shut the f*ck up". One time she had a family emergency and told my coworker she had to leave, she can pick up her dog in the morning. So unprofessional. I had a horrible experience with this company. They lectured my husband when he dropped our dogs on how we need to neuter our pure bred yellow lab. It was none of Mindy's business. So, we were told $35 for the works including nails. It was $36 each and none of their nails were trimmed. The worse part is that my dog was sick after the bath and his testicals started bleeding and the skin was burned off. I called the owner asking what they had done to him, and she did not return my call. I am ready to have her answer me in court. I would rather they have minus stars. What an epic disappointment this place is. Jan just took me for a literal ride here today. I talked with Jan extensively in advance of booking an appointment for my Great Pyrenees, who has never had a bath, only left the ranch once and got car sick, and is a nervous ninny around strangers. Jan assured me she was was the right groomer for the job, so off we went. Within 5 minutes after dropping off my dog, Jan called me and told me to come and pick her up because she puked. Well, no kidding. I had already told Jan this may happen. Perhaps Jan has Alzheimers cause she had no memory of this lengthy conversation and proceeded to be quite a little witch about it. Jan also said she didn't want to bathe my dog because she pants too heavily (you know, breathes loudly and quickly ... could be nervous or just plain hot cause she is a LGD. I'm sorry, what the ...Jan?). I picked up my dog and headed straight to Petco (just down the street) where not only do they require two fewer vaccines than Jan (and I only got my dog those stupid shots so she could go to the groomer...thanks again, Jan). Petco was AWESOME. They were kind and understanding and actually know that LGD dogs pant (not rocket science, Jan)....sometimes a lot...cause they have a lot of fur...and get hot...a lot. What in the actually...Jan is going on here? Canine Clippers...you suck. Jan....that goes for you, too. You wasted my day, upset my dog, and cost me money I didn't have to spend. I took a new rescue dog tot Jan with trepidation, not knowing if he had ever been to a groomer. I told her that he may need to be muzzled. When I picked Chance up, she said he was a little nervous, but she got him through it just fine without a muzzle and he warmed up to her right away. I love Jan. read more

I have taken my dog to Canine Clippers for years. He's a small, shih tzu/poodle mix with a really bad attitude. He always comes home clean and freshly cut and happy. She's able to groom him and clip his nails with no problems, no small feat, let me assure you. I've tried all the other groomers in the are and she's the only one whose ever been able to handle my problem dog, and actually, in her hands he's not really a problem dog. My aunt also bring her Lhasa Apso in for grooming here, and she loves them as much as I do. I know the other reviewer had a bad experience, but I don't understand, because we've been bringing our dogs here for years with absolutely no issues at all. read more

I was visiting family in CA so I called to make an appointment for my dog; was VERY disappointed after I got her home. In advance they had told me the cost was $30 for THE WORKS (shampoo, dry, clip, trim nails, etc.) Her appointment was at 10 am and they told me I could pick her up at 2:30. Another reason I had chosen them was their ad in the yellow pages stated they don't use tranquilizers (which my small dog doesn't need anyway). First thing they ask me to sign is a form that I won't hold them responsible if they use tranquilizers on her and something happens! I refused and told them no tranquilizers is one reason I chose them. They told me they actually didn't use them, but I don't understand the reason for the form then. So I go to pick her up and the lady says "I thought you weren't supposed to be here until 3". I leave to run an errand to give her time to finish. Turns out, she apparently hadn't even started! When I picked my dog up, she had been clipped, no shampoo, no drying, etc. When I pick her up from her regular groomers, she always smells freshly shampooed. Here she still smelled like a dog. They also trimmed her nails on her left side ONLY; both right paws' nails were still long and round... Needless to say, this business is a horrible misrepresentation of everything needed in a groomer. read more

Canine Clippers Review Joey is a 14 year old cat with hyperthyroidism. He was diagnosed 4 years ago after dropping from 15 lbs to 5 lbs in about 3 months. His hair became a tangled mess with thick matting. This winter the vet suggested that I have him shaved once the weather got warmer to prevent developing sores under the thick clumps of hair. Joey is a very friendly cat who loves to be touched even at the vet and while being brushed, but even he had his limits when it came to combing out the knots. Canine Clippers was the 4th place I called while trying to find someone that grooms cats. The vet would only do it under anesthesia, both expensive and risky for such an old cat. The groomer they recommended had a week wait for an appointment. The next groomer I called didn't take cats. Finally I got to Canine Clippers and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. I asked for the works, bath, shave, ears, nails and everything. I was quoted $50, not bad in my opinion. I dropped him off, they were ready at the time of the appointment and I headed home. About a half an hour later, I got a call from the groomer. She says, " I should have looked at him before you left" and I'm thinking "oh great, she can't do it". But then she says, we don't need to shave him, once I shampoo and condition him, I can comb those knots out. He will look better and it will only cost $30". What a nice surprise! Ask we were speaking she said he was making himself comfortable and letting her rub his belly, so I knew he was in good hands. He was ready about an hour and half later. When I went to pick him up, she did show me a spot on his side where he had been cut during the process, and while I was a little concerned about that, he is a very thin bony cat so I wasn't too surprised. Plus I was told that the cut had been treated but to keep an eye on it, and if there was any sign of trouble, to take him to the vet and they would cover any related expenses.The cut healed up just fine on it's own. Overall the experience was a very good one. She could have done what I had asked for and charged me the $50 for it, but she was honest and saved me $20! My cat looked great and I would return with any of my animals! read more

We've been taking our very furry Huskie/Malamute mix who has a deformed front paw to Canine Clippers for years, both for her summer shaving/grooming and her winter bathing. I am impressed by how humane they are, stopping the process if the dog gets too stressed, for a bathroom or play or rest break. Though their prices have gone up a bit the past couple of years, it's still a very reasonable cost. I even stopped by once to ask about a flea/tick potion I'd bought, and got great trusted advice from the owner. This is a great dog grooming business and I feel lucky to have them near where I live. read more
