She has a background in handling dogs (and other animals) for year, first aid/CPR certified, AND is a nutrition expert and trainer. When I was pregnant she watch my pups for us when we went down to San Diego for our gender reveal. We broadcasted the event live for family to see virtually. She made sure to have both our pups watch the live feed to find out if they were going to have a brother OR sister (and of course took pictures of them watching). She even spent time with them that weekend training them how to act around a new baby sister. When I went Into labor and rushed to the hospital, she drove to our home and picked up the boys from our house. She took care of them until we were ready to come home from the hospital. She has watched them countless other times and always sends us pictures of how they are doing. She is literally the sweetest human and is so passionate about what she does. I will preface this by saying I have not actually used this service. I met these people at a dog…read moreevent. I was very impressed with them. Seemed like they would take great care of my dogs. I called later about boarding. They really push for you to just fill out a form. They will not give any kind of estimate. I understand that circumstances will vary, but a price range would be good. I had a contractor at my home once looking out my window and commenting "all you rich people up here." He way overcharged me and we aren't all rich. Not saying she would do this, I just like to be quoted a price range. She seems to take care of her employees and has a decent business plan. Costs to meet with them, as it should. Where she lost me was asking how long the dogs could be left alone. Well, several hours I suppose. She kinda beat around the bush then told me that all of her Nannys have full time careers. If I am working outside of the house for a full work day, I take my dogs to day care. An 8-9 hour work day and commute, leaves my dogs alone for at least 9-10 hours. How does the Nanny have time to exercise them? She also said that a Nanny can only work for one week. So, if you are gone for more than one week, you would have 2 nannies. Not a huge deal, but two different people in my home is a question mark. She ended the conversation with "fill out the online form and we will see if we have any nannies available." Didn't sound like she even wanted the business and seemed like she didn't have many nannies. I have 2 easy, older dogs, but they need daily exercise. I don't need someone with my dogs 24/7, but I would not leave them more than 6 hours at a time, so just being fed and having someone overnight, is not what I am looking for. That being said, if this works for others, they may be a great service.

I have used her services a couple of times and have never been disappointed. I love how each day she updates me and I love how I come back home and see her notes that she has waiting for me on my kitchen table. This was in no way something I wanted to deal with without a professional with demonstrated experience, particularly to a country with stringent and unclear requirements. Prior to speaking with Vanessa, I spoke to about 5 agents in this space who candidly did not seem like they knew what they were talking about (one even suggested he only set up the vet appointment and I mail in the paperwork, which he was happy to charge me $XXX for- sir, what am I contacting you for then?). Vanessa not only responded immediately with comprehensive information about the process (more than the USDA website and even the Vietnamese customs page- I looked) and what she could do for me. She moved mountains to make this happen, met with me at the vet process, and clearly cares deeply about the animals she is helping to move. I have to again underscore how different my experience with Vanessa was from other providers where it really felt like you're paying someone to move around paperwork and they actually expressly disclaim that after all that your dog may not even meet the requirements to get on the plane. Vanessa gave me the comfort to know things will be fine because she does this all the time, as opposed to other operators who kind of seem like they're just winging it.
