They have a carefully, time-tested program and have hired and trained their staff to work within it to ensure a consistent message to the dogs. They then train YOU in sessions held after each week so you do the SAME process. They assign a trainer that focuses on your dog. The trainer can them work with you and explain your dog's idiosyncrasies to you! Our dogs took to the training. They don't become perfect dogs because WE humans are really bad at follow-through and consistency but they are so much better having been through the training. Our English Springer Spaniel became a gem on a leash and walking her became a breeze!! No mean feat when a squirrel crossing our path would cause her to bolt and drag me to the ground. We took her to a refresher stay after a few years. They told us when we picked her up that she was a gem and that WE needed to be more consistent. Yes, I am still working on that with the second dog who is better trained than I am at this point.

I called Fit N Furry to talk to them about boarding my cats. I received a text message back from Bailey and we had a text conversation, and got a tour set up. On the day of the tour, I called the center just to confirm and they had no idea what I was talking about. I was told there was no one there that would be able to give me a tour. The person on the tour scheduled me for a tour weeks away. I texted the original number back and asked what had happened. I actually asked them if they were human, because I'd had experiences before of AIs just not forwarding information to a human. But I was assured, via text, that I was speaking to a human and that they were sorry and their manager would reach out shortly. (To this day no one has reached out.) Weeks went by and I went in for my rescheduled tour. I walk in and they had no record of a tour but they would be happy to show me around. Just fill out this form. I filled out the form. The person at the desk looks at my form and goes "oh, your cats are too old to board here." Excuse me? After all this, my cats are ineligible anyway? At this point I had spent 3 hours in the car and who knows how long on the phone and text with them, getting at this sorted out. If this is the level of organization that is visible from the outside, I shudder to think what the behind-the-scenes organization looks like.

They also have fun events for dogs like pool parties, holiday pictures. Always keeping in touch with what she has been up too. Always happy to give us updates when we call .... We called around and…read moregot some crazy prices and staff asking if our poor mostly blind and deaf dog wanted ball time? I'm not sure "fetch the ball" is really his thing at this point. We almost overlooked Grateful Pets because it wasn't on Yelp, thankfully we managed to connect with them. They are the closest to our house and the boarding is in an outbuilding on a small farm. We took our old man over for a visit and we were impressed with the owner's caring kindness. We dropped him off and left for vacation a few days later. We got email updates while traveling and when we returned he was healthy, happy and well fed. They keep a pot of "hot slops" which gets added to the kibble. I'm pretty sure he didn't really want to come home. They said he also enjoyed the daily walks in the pasture. These are good people who take great care of their guests while their owners are away. They also do grooming and training, if you like that sort of thing.

She's great with the dogs and able to take care of special needs. My one complaint would be that I wished she worked weekends! Sometimes I work long shifts and am gone all weekend- even if my partner's home it's nice to have someone else help and take the dog out. Sid is so great we wish we could hire her every day of the week. I would recommend Sid as a provider for your dogs 100%. It's been a great experience working with her!

It really works!…read more Sherry is amazing! I was skeptic on how the training over the phone would work. Let me tell you, it really works! It is like having Sherry right there with you. Sherry gives you calm, clear, detailed, interesting, and fun instructions as you learn from her to execute the training of your dog during that scheduled appointment. I adopted a 5-month-old Terrier mix, and she would not go through the dog door-petrified of it. With Sherry's help, in a few amazing training sessions, I am excited to say, that is no longer an issue. My dog goes in/out like it is not even there. We are now working on training her to take walks and with one session we are moving in a positive direction.
