The gate didn't work for us, so I went back a few days later to return it, and that was quick and easy. No one accepted responsibility for the massive errors in the process of adoption. Instead we get told "just get another cat." As if it's like grabbing the gallon of milk behind the one we were reaching for. We fell in love with that cat. We wanted her specifically. A simple "just get another one" is absolutely horrible. Completely unprofessional and unsympathetic to the situation that was caused by them. What they did was the equivalent of giving away a newborn to the wrong family and telling them to just choose another one from the nursery. No, I want my child! Just horrible and callous. We fell in love with GiGi and we prepared to bring her into our lives and love her for years to come and now we are heartbroken and given a disingenuous apology and a snarky "get a different one."
