We have been going to this place for a few years. Ownership has changed, but the service is still great. The ladies were friendly. They called as one of the dogs had fleas and got approval for the service and let us know about the charge before providing service. Dogs came back smelling clean and well groomed. Oh boy. I didn't get the memo they changed ownership. My sweet girl maltipoo got shaved and they tied these rubber bands on her ears to make this braided look. It was hard to get them off, and must hurt judging on how tight they were. Her overall appearance was off, they basically just shaved the body with no touch up whatsoever. I am not taking her back there until they get some experience workers. read more

I took my dog here for the first time last week. These groomers have no idea what they are doing. First off, let me say that they are obviously new to the business, since the cut on my dog was not anywhere close to what it was when I brought her in for a cut: They didn't cut her the way she was previously groomed; they cut the top of her head way too short (for any kind of style), as well as her ears. The worst part was her tail that used to be pretty and full, but now it looks like a poodle's tail--And, she's not even a poodle--She's a Miniature Golden Doodle.... If you are going to buy a business, you need to take more than a few dog grooming classes to know what you are doing.... To summerize, I won't be taking my dog there in the future.... This is the second time we've taken our dog to the Vet to get cotton removed from his ears. This first time, he had two pieces of cotton deep in his ear and caused and infection. Took the two pieces into Canine Custome Cuts to show the very nice lady owner. We came to an agreement that they would check his ears before calling us to pick him up. Went to the Vet again today and Dr. removed more cotton from his ears. The owner means well but does not inspect or supervise their workers. Ends up being a very expensive place to go. PS: Vet is Yorba Lake Pet Clinic. In the Stater Bros. center on YL Blvd & Lakeview. Our dog has been seen there for 9 years. read more

This place is awesome! They get you in and out in a very timely manner and usually when I call the same day! but more importantly they are great to our dogs. A Shih Tzu and a standard poodle. The poodle is very sensitive around his face and other groomers had me give him tranquilizers just to get a close cut, which never worked out well. Here at Canine Custom Cuts they told me it wasn't necessary and they do a far better job with no drugs! And it's located right in between HomeGoods and Trader Joe's. I came to this place two times. First time I came they did a good job on the cut my puppy looked very cute .. she got a small cut on her arm but they told me it's because she was very tangled there so I didn't think it was a big deal because my puppy wasn't in pain or anything . I came a second time, two days ago and I dropped off my puppy there .. the lady PULLED my dog's tail in front of me and took her in the back w/o giving me a chance to tell her to stop that. She didn't even stop to listen to what we wanted . She kept saying yeah yeah and went in the back. Couple hours later I was at work and asked my parents to pick my puppy up. They called me saying my puppy did not get any haircut.. they just shaved her neck?? And still charged them $55.. so I called them saying why didn't you give her a cut when I asked for that? They said I can take my puppy back that day.. I told them I will after work.. they called me couple times to see where I was and I kept having to explain I have to go after work.. finally they called me and said oh no our groomer left and we are going to leave..? They never told me they were closing at 3pm? So I told them no they have to stay and give my puppy a cut because I had a party next day.. even though I hated to take her back I had to because I already paid the $55 plus $5 tip‍ my puppy was so scared and sad screaming it just broke my heart. After I get her they don't give me a chance to check my puppy.. they close the door and when I get home I see this huge cut under her neck.. AND HER SHOULDER my poor puppy was shaking for a day .. she is in pain and we can't even try to see her neck because she is in pain.. THIS PLACE IS NOT GOOD ! Don't take your pets here.. they don't care about them they don't care they are hurting them. They don't listen to what you want and then when you tell them they didn't do what you wanted they have the audacity to sass you. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN and I'm telling everyone I know with pets to not go there again. If you love your pet DO NOT GO! It's a shame really because I love to help small businesses read more

Omg worst ever first of all this is my third try at this place, first time she charged $35 for just wash and tidy, which I thought was very good. Went back second time and their daughter was there and she charged me $40 and wired how it went up in one month but I was ok, but not after I got my dog back! It was just a wash more than anything else, so third time I went back for the mom to cut hair, but she charged me $45 this time and basically the same as before not much of anything other than a wash! Gave up on this place!! Don't think they understand the philosophy of customer service!! Also she charges whatever the Succors will fall for! read more

We take our dog, Charlie here. He's a schnauzer, so they are very familiar w/ the breed cut. He is a bit of a crier when I even touch him, and Canine does so great to work around his personality. I took him to PetSmart prior and because of his crying, they told me not take him there any more. Which is fine as they would keep him there 6 hours and he would be thirsty, bursting at the seam to go to the bathroom. Here at Canine, they keep him there less than 2 hours and he comes out so happy. He still cries, but there so good w/ Charlie and the more I bring him, the more he gets use to the good folks there @ Canine. BEST place in the world!! I took my pup, June, to so many groomers. One left her private parts in a bloody mess, another gave her razor burns, and another gave her serious blood work even with the awesome reviews. :( This place, however, is an awesome delight. Even though they rough handle her a bit, I get it since she's horrible. She squirms, she kicks, it took two men to make her still. (BTW, she's only 25 pounds and 16 inches at the whithers...)
