They typically do a pretty good job but they need to ease up on the upselling…read more I understand "suggesting" other services, it's a business after all , but it seems lately like it's always "you'll need this and that" in addition to whatever you're having done there rather than "would you also like to include this or that", leaving the impression that it's a requirement rather than a suggestion. When your small 15 pound dog gets a bath and tidy, for around 60 dollars and they say the dog also needs a flea bath, ok, I get it, sure add the 15 dollar flea bath since I don't want my dog to have fleas (though its is an inside dog always and regularly has all its bedding and coat treated with flea repellant and a pill to kill fleas and eggs) , but ok, then they say the dog will also need a special $30 dollar "brushing" on top of the 60 dollar bath and tidy in addition to the $15 dollar flea bath I have to ask, "don't they brush him anyway when they do a "BATH" and tidy????????? Their excuse was that the flea bath dries the dog's skin so they need to brush the dog. Somethings not adding up. How does a flea shampoo that allegedly dries a dog's skin get fixed by brushing the dog for $30.00 more? I'd suggest maybe using something less harsh or adding a conditioner after whatever chemical flea treatment they apparently use which is harsh enough to irritate the dog's skin instead of irritating it further with a $30 brushing that I can't imagine would help at all considering they already have to brush the dog anyway when they did the bath and tidy.. So before a tip we've gone from $60 dollars to $105.00??????? Really???? I don't see how adding a flea bath to the dog shampoo changes any brushing or fluffing already required , so why the added $30.00 for a brushing still necessary even if the flea bath was never performed ?????? I might have to start looking for a new groomer or just save my gas and have a mobil groomer come by to do it at home at these prices.

Prior to bringing her in we had stopped by with her to discuss how she would be groomed and ask numerous questions, being our first poodle. Chris gave us lots of information and held Rita, getting her used to the facility. Chris also has poodles of her own, another bonus! Rita looks beautiful!!! I definitely didn't feel I was dealing with amateurs in any way. I have a Bouvier & a Yorkshire terrier - they did a fantastic job grooming them both & haircuts matched breed styles perfectly. Particularly with a Bouvier it's not uncommon to have her come back with some weird sheepdog look! On top of everything, they were cheaper than Petsmart & other places I've tried. I understand that people make mistakes while cutting hair, but the fact that they did not double check him to make sure everything was up to standard disgusts me. They did a fine job anyways I guess, but be sure to double check your dog when you leave... UPDATE: he is in pain. Now he has a cone on his head and is dizzy.
