When she first met him, he was recovering from having his ears cropped, and she was incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the healing process--offering tips, being extra gentle, and making sure he was comfortable. The place itself is super clean, organized, and stocked with everything you need--shampoos, conditioners, brushes, towels, dryers, treats, and good vibes. Now here's where I was really impressed: this past Sunday; while we were there, a small dog broke the number one rule mid haircut and actually bit Kim--like, drew blood--and she handled it like an absolute pro. No panic, no yelling, no frustration. She just calmly tended to her wound and continued working with the dog like it never happened. Total class act. Kim's energy is unmatched. She's attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about dogs--whether they're gentle giants like Duke or tiny savages like that grey one that chomped her finger. The tubs? Elevated and back-friendly. Well. The words Awesome or Incredible do not do this place justice. We took our One year old Male Leonberger Oliver here because he loves to swim in Lake Mead day after day. He smelled Musty. We tried everything and two other groomers. We came in with him so they could see and smell our little buddy. He Stunk. We spoke with the owner. She was great. She took the time to talk with us about Ollie. We made an appointment with her for the following Monday. It is now almost a week later. SHE DID IT. THE SMELL IS GONE!!!!! This review is long overdue! We have been loyal to Sham Paws for years now. We started out using the self service wash and loved the fact they have special soaps and tools to keep pets comfortable during bath time. Then we ended up having our dog groomed here monthly. They do such a great job! My dog Sam has sensitive ears and not once did he ever have an ear infection from a groom (unlike other places). He smells great for a few weeks too! One thing I also appreciate is, once I drop off Sam for his appointment, he gets serviced immediately and is done within an hour or two. Our family is grateful to the team here especially to Kim who owns the place. She is not only a wonderful business owner but truly cares for her customers and our lovely pets! I almost had to re-home my beloved Sam and I reached out to Kim for help. Not only did she mobilize her network but she spent a couple hours with me problem solving and finding solutions that worked. Long story short, I never had to part with my Sam! To this day, she would send messages of support and love! The service here is amazing- they welcome you with open arms, show you the shampoo/conditioner and calming shampoo each time I've been there (which is nice because I forget sometimes!), and they're very clean! The calming shampoo really helps my fur baby calm down from her anxiety. The pricing is also really good! We pay $20 for a Shiba Inu. Although it's a drive away for me, it's worth the trip because my fur baby is always given the best quality products and for the amazing customer service. This is a great place to give your pupsters a bath after days spent at the beach! I brought my doodle for grooming. Let me just say that they did an amazing job! She was super nervous when I dropped her off. The groomer met her at eye level and tried to comfort her. They asked very specific questions about how I wanted certain areas (such as the face) to be trimmed and they did exactly as we discussed. They were done within an hour and a half. My girl looked gorgeous when I picked her up! This will be my go to place from now on. They also teach you grooming tips and tricks, which was appreciated. Additionally, the owner gave me contract information for another groomer for my other dog who is very anxious. She explained that dogs who are anxious could have higher anxiety at a space like this one where there is a lot going on (many dogs in close proximity due to the self wash stations plus the ones coming in for grooming appointments).
