We've had the most wonderful experience and outcome with MaryBeth and the Canines Content team as our trainer and mentor for both of our beloved pups. MaryBeth's teaching style is calm, clear and direct. She's helped us to be consistent with our dogs while we all learned basic commands in Family Dog 1 and the built on those skills in the Intermediate class. We also came out of these classes with well behaved pups and a tool box full of common-sense positive reinforcement techniques that are effective in any variety of situations. We even learned clicker training techniques. Our eldest pup is now AKC certified through Canines Content and our next step for him is the Love on a Leash therapy dog certificate. We highly recommend Canines Content for anyone who has a new pup or even an older pup that needs a refresher. They are wonderful to work with and kind. You can tell they really love dogs and care for the well being of all of our pets in the class. Last but not least, we've met some great friends from our classes and have plenty of doggy play dates lined up. All in all a great experience and a solid foundation for our pups (and ourselves!)

Mary Beth is the best dog trainer! We had some private lesson for my Border Collie. Mary Beth worked with our dog and taught him a lot of basic commands and taught us what we needed to do to reinforce good behavior. We also took the Urban Paws Training Walk. Our dog was terrible on the leash before the class and now he is much better. Mary Beth is a very kind and loving trainer!

    Graduation day!

Hi, I was a kamp client for over five years. I withstood the business closing without notice when…read morethey lost their lease, many waves of management changes and a nasty virus impacting two of my dogs. Recently, a manager raised concerns about one of my dogs who has always been "high octane" and when I engaged in a constructive conversation with the owner that included my own observations about unsafe drop off procedures, two of my dogs were disinvited from participating in camp anymore (including one kamp had never raised any concerns over). Really disappointing that Kamp would treat a loyal customer this way and after the owner, Gian, represented to me the business day before that he was committed to working towards solution. They've turned into one of those places that is interested in easy dogs and easy money, not longevity of a client base. Goodbye from a good client that paid $600 per month.

They send photos, pay close attention to each dog's needs, and always have them washed and ready right on time when we ask. I also really appreciate how thoughtfully they group the dogs to keep everyone happy and safe. I've tried other daycare centers, and none compare to Kamp Kanine. The drop-off and pick-up process is so easy, and I have complete peace of mind every time. M Rivera

"Boot camp" options seemed extreme, so I called Bark Busters (BB), seeking in-home private lessons. Justin responded the same day I left a message, and we talked about my concerns with our new rescue. I decided to try the BB program, which ended up being the BEST DECISION for my pup and for me! Justin set up our first session with trainer/coach James. James spent much of the 1st session going through the goals, objectives and concepts of training, including a timeline based on reasonable expectations of my dog. James spent a lot of time explaining how to "read" my dog's behavior, and how to properly respond. He explained the concepts behind each step, which helped me to understand not just what to do, but why (thus enabling me to understand how to deploy the training to different situations). James also set up scenarios to practice, going through each step so I could gain confidence in what my role is while helping my dog settle. It really is about training the owner how to work with the dog. James provided summaries of each session, plus videos demonstrating how I can use different responses/techniques to reshape how my dog reacts to stressful situations. I saw significant progress very early in the training, and was surprised at how quickly we were able to help my dog understand his role (and to feel safe) in our home. The best part is that if I need more help, I just have to reach out to James/BB and schedule more sessions - this is included in the initial program. Given that it takes a rescue dog a while to COMPLETELY settle in, new issues could arise as time passes, and if so, all I have to do is call to set it up. In summary, Bark Busters is a GREAT dog training program, and James is a FANTASTIC BB trainer/coach! Definitely recommend BB to owners that want help with their dogs!

Cathy sponsors an adoptable every class free of charge to improve their chances in finding a forever home and as a Canine Coach I would transport and train said animal. As if that weren't enough to fall in love with Take the Lead. I coached three dog through her 6 week course and she asked me to stay on as an intern trainer. I've been volunteering there ever since. Her methods are painless and positive. She teaches people to read their dogs body language so that we don't ask something of our dog that hurts, makes them uncomfortable or would create undue stress. Her motto is "It takes two to pull" so be prepared to be trained as well. Classes are an hour. They are fun and functional, you learn how to handle real-life situations, how to train your pet to be a good patient at the Vet, the Groomer and Dog-sitter.
