The two times I've visited the area, this has been my go-to spot for parking. We timed our arrival so we could park just as attractions and restaurants were starting to open. The garage was pretty empty when we arrived, so we had plenty of stall options, though it does seem to fill up quickly. We chose a spot on the second floor near the stairwell and elevator for convenience. From there, it's a quick and easy walk to nearby attractions, shops, and restaurants. After a long, hot day, it was especially nice coming back to a car that hadn't been sitting in direct sun, no need to blast the AC to cool it down. We paid a flat rate of $20 in cash. While we were leaving, there were several cars coming in looking for parking, so timing definitely helps. Exiting the garage was quick and easy as well. They do have restrooms on the first floor, though I'd personally prefer using facilities at nearby establishments. read more

If you are going to spend half a day or must cannery row, you'd garage is a good place to park that is covered and in a good location. We went to the aquarium, shopping and to a restaurant and everything was good. Payment is all automated but they do have staff there in the afternoon when it fills up, it's a little expensive but it's worth it in my opinion. We parked here today because of the close proximity of the aquarium and cannery row. It was a nice covered parking garage with plenty of vacant spots. The sign advertised $15 for the day. However, when we paid before exiting the garage, we were charged $20. False advertising! read more

Great large indoor/outdoor parking lot. We went to visit the aquarium so this was very convenient for us and is a short walk to the aquarium and cannery row in general. They have trash cans, all day parking available, make sure you take your ticket so you can pay the kiosk before returning to your vehicle. read more

A lot parking spaces and flat fare ($22/day), easy for visiting cannery row and aquarium. I arrived there at 9am (weekday) and still a lot spaces, but lot fills very soon after 10am (weekday), it is recommended to be there early to get a nice space, especially during weekend or holiday. read more

There is one set of elevator and stairs on the southern opening on West St. Great parking for the Aquarium (5 min walk), Cannery Row (5 min walk), and for the shops at Fisherman's Wharf (10-15 min walk). Plenty of parking, great location, and reasonable pricing (all day was $20, no in and out privileges). This lot is about a two blocks from the aquarium and it's shaded with elevator access. Far enough from the main cannery road so you can exit easily on your way out of town or to downtown. Payment is made at the machines on each level so pretty convenient. There are plenty of street parking in Monterey but when you need more than the typical 90 minute zone, this structure will be sufficient. There's another lot nearby if this one gets full but it's closer to the aquarium by a block and seems like a bit more expensive. I spent many days parking my car in this facility. I hate street parking. And I always felt safe parking in here. It is well lit at nighttime too Paying is very convenient at the machines. I was always able to find a spot in here. And I felt my car was in a safe location . Never feared about break ins. So glad when they built this garage. Don't Be Afraid of the Park Best place to park when visiting Monterey's Cannery Row and/or the Monterey Bay Aquarium that features a $10 all-day flat rate. Fwiw Street parking is $2/hr--but with a 4hr Max. So technically it can be cheaper to park in the street, but only if you can guarantee you'll be gone before then. And you better be gone because the City of Monterey's parking enforcement team is *BRUTAL*. You best believe they'll get your ass... So, if there's any doubt, just go with the garage. We parked our car here instead of paying valet at our hotel. We made sure to take all valuables out of our car and left it there for 2 nights. We could have parked our car on the street but free street parking was from 8 pm to 9 am and we had saw some poor car get written up for a parking citation the night we arrived. Excellent parking garage that is spacious, takes credit cards and is in walking distance to the aquarium, Cannery Row and downtown. I've been here when they charge $10 for all day but more recently it was $15 the day after Christmas (I don't know if that's the new normal rate, or was charged because of the surge of holiday visitors to the area.) Either way, it beats having to find metered street parking. The location is convenient and a short walk to numerous attractions and features plenty of actual parking. On 12/26 at around noon, there was a long line of cars trying to get in the garage. I was concerned they'd be out of spaces but the garage is much larger than it appears from the outside. We were able to find a spot on the top floor, with many other open spots at that level. Make it easy on yourself when visiting that part of Monterey and park here. This remains my try-here-first garage for visits to Cannery Row. In the past we took tickets at the entrance then paid on the way out, but this last weekend it was one size fits all: $15 was taken on the way in (credit cards preferred) then leave whenever you're ready (no return privilege).
