Kevin Canney came to my home the day I called to say my old water softener had quit working . He showed me the metal filings and said this particular water softener was no longer being manufactured and with the age being 13 years it was time to replace the softener. Water softener only 4 months old and have water leaking on floor. Had to call 4-5 times to get any help then he comes to look at it with no tools. Said he would be back next day to fix it and he never showed up and never called me even after I called again to see if he was coming. Receptionist said she would have him call me and he never did. Very poor customer service and poor response or no response to phone calls and messages. read more

These guys are great! They were slammed with so much work after COVID-19 hit that they took awhile to get back to me, but once the equipment we ordered was there they got everything delivered and installed very quickly. They offer maintenance services for their water purification services, so its great to know that these nice professional people will be there throughout the life of my system. We had a few bumps in the road here and there with installation and communication, but we overcame those obstacles together and now things are running smoothly! I haven't owned or operated a system like this ever before, so its good to have them to rely on if I need anything. I truly am grateful that they are local and that they care about the set up and the future functionality also. They are thoughtful throughout the set up process. Canney's sold us the ONLY softener that has worked for our water/iron problem. In 40 plus years here (same well) we have had maybe six other top of the line units, one of which had it's mechanism dissolved by "iron removing" salt. Some of the previous salesmen simply told us their units wouldn't remove our level of iron. The Canney's rep came out, tested the water, and said his softener unit would also remove the iron. My attitude was "I have heard that before, show me". Well, after over a year's experience with the EcoWater unit from Canney's, we are absolutely satisfied with the softener and with the service. It is so easy on salt usage I forget to check it. Even when lowish on salt, it just works. In short, it has completely solved our softening/iron problem in washer, sinks and showers. It has a much smaller footprint than most of the other units, uses much less salt, even has a handy digital readout of when salt is needed, and daily and average usage. The usage meter once even tipped me off to a small leak to be fixed. I never thought we could solve our water problem, given all that have tried. Problem solved. It does what they said it would and both the unit and Canney's office have been exemplary to work with. Wish I had called them decades ago. read more

Canney's Water Solutions is terrible. We were told our iron breaker could be financed for about $27 a month. The bill came and is actually more than double that! The finance company went from Aqua Finance to Bay Finance who claim we now have a bank account with Connexus that we never opened. Now, for the installation, it sucked. The serviceman left a gaping hole from our bathroom wall to the garage. I could literally see easily into my garage while going to the bathroom. He claimed he'd return to put some insulation in to help but we just took care of it ourselves because we didn't want him messing anything else up. The owner claimed he'd bring by some softener salt for our troubles which would've at least been a nice gesture but he never did. That was months ago. Also, after the install, there was a steady leak right next to the hole from install coming from our brand new boiler. It was in the exact spot the serviceman was working. Water was filling buckets and trickling from the back of our garage to the front and out the door. I called to let Canney's know and the woman who answered the phone said, "okay, well is it where the serviceman was working?" I told her yes and only then did she send him back to check. Once he arrived back he looked at it and said, "I mean, I know it wasn't leaking when I got here but it also wasn't leaking when I left so..." I told him he had literally just left about 20 minutes ago and it was in the exact spot he was working. He told me I had to call the place we had gotten our boiler from because he doesn't know anything about boilers. I did and Legacy Heating, a professional and fantastic company, came out and fixed it. The serviceman from Canney's had turned a knob on the boiler and caused the leak. Canney's was informed of this but no one from Canney's ever acknowledged this mistake. It was the shadiest and most shoddy home improvement job I've ever paid for. The only thing we were ever offered was a few bags of softener salt for our troubles and they never even dropped them off to us. The gesture alone would've at least made us feel like they recognized we didn't get the best service and that they were sorry. Instead, we fixed the gaping hole in our wall that was two inches bigger around than the small pipe and are paying more than twice what we were quoted to a finance company that has changed ownership within the first month we had it. The entire experience has made us quite uncomfortable. We will never do business with Canney's again. They've lost a customer over what could've easily been remedied with a little customer service and taking responsibility for their screw ups. Never again and I would NOT recommend going to Canney's for anything. Save yourself a headache. read more

Service is poor, products are worse. Softeners are expensive and don't work very well. Service calls and labor priced outta sight. Problem is, you must go back to them for service and repair. That's when they nail you. Better off going to a big box store. Better products, cheaper, and much better service. And much less arrogance! read more
