Much thanks to the tech who delivered my salt today for alerting me to have my well pump checked

These people are not licensed and bonded plumbers, and I mistakenly assumed they were. Do not make the same mistake I did! Their technicians moved our water heater to make room for the water softener they installed and cracked the water heater's inner tank during installation. Additionally, when moving our water heater they decoupled a joint in the water heater's exhaust line, therefore causing carbon monoxide to vent inside, instead of outside. I was reassured Culligan would handle everything and resolve the damage done by their poorly trained technicians. Genuinely thought they were going to step-up and make everything right, but it has been the complete opposite experience. Technicians came to our home and confirmed the installation was done improperly and said their manager would reach out with a resolution. Instead the manager avoided the situation and dodged calls until I was able to reach out to their insurance provider directly. I've had an open insurance claim with them for nearly two months and to date, our water heater has failed, which I paid to replace, and their equipment is still in our home, they have not picked-up, even though they were told the equipment was to be removed during 30-day satisfaction period. Again, they are not licensed and bonded plumbers and do not know what they are doing. Responding to Culligan: Once you sent two senior Culligan technicians to inspect the damage, which they confirmed the damage and your failed Culligan installation, I was told a Culligan manager, Adam Melson would handle the situation, implying direct resolution for the damage done by Culligan; instead he was never available when calling directly nor would he return calls. You clearly avoided the situation, and it was only after I initiated an insurance claim, on your behalf, did he return a call. For what it's worth, or to whomever reading, only your sales representative and technicians that inspected have apologized, nor you or Adam have apologized or even feigned any empathy for the damage done by Culligan. Your response here equally reflects the lack of care and recklessness Culligan offers when being invited into someone's home. The damage occurred in June 2026, and according to your insurance provider they are still investigating, which one can only reasonable assume it's because of delays and dishonesty on your end. You yourself have pictures showing our water heater was undamaged prior to installation, have you shared those with your insurance provider? read more

Without a doubt, the ABSOLUTE worst customer service that I've ever experienced. The ladies (receptionists) that answer the phone, are complete idiots! They can't even do basic math. Very rude and very unprofessional. read more

Absolutely the WORST customer service you will ever receive. The water softener itself is great. The installation was great. Need customer service? Good luck. My reverse osmosis quit working. Need service? Well, that will take 10 days - yes DAYS to reconnect to your WiFi. Billing issues? Good luck. I received a bill for over $400 (monthly payment is under $60). I was TOLD they changed ACH provider SIX months ago. Never contacted me - even with my email and phone number. When I called, obviously upset, they hung up on me. Very mature way to handle a customer trying to understand how on earth my bill is over $400. Oh and THEY never contacted me, but managed to charge me $17 A MONTH LATE charge for all the months they did not reach out to tell me they changed service for my automatic payment. I was told OVER SIX MONTHS they were going thru a list to reach customers. So, they couldn't email me? They couldn't call me in six months to tell me to re-register my automatic payment? $17 a month late charge for THEIR ERROR? Absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND. The ladies that run the office are awful. Worst service, no callbacks or follow up. I wouldn't give them a penny if business. Update: Dear General Manager You are absolutely WRONG. I had to send numerous emails and written mail requesting statements for the account. The girls in your office are LYING to you. I began asking for statements and information in NOVEMBER, 2022. Why do I have to wait until February to receive anything? Furthermore , when I made a service appointment to have the softener removed, your service guy showed up nearly 1 hour after my 4 hour window , end of the day on a Friday night and basically told me it was the end of his shift and didn't have time to remove it. You are not getting the facts from your employees. Why not call me and settle this yourself? That would be the first step in customer service that I have seen from your company. read more

Two weeks in a row - no call, no show. First time they apologized and said they somehow missed me. I gave them nearly a week notice to come out on this 2nd service call to resolve the same issue they haven't fixed. I made sure I had the day off so I could be home. I'll be calling when they open in a few hours for an explanation and reschedule before I terminate my rental service with them completely. Actively shopping around at this point. Completely unacceptable. read more

My home water softener was installed brand new 4 years ago. The meter on the unit has been malfunctioning for 10 months now. Culligan wants $130 just for someone to come look at the softener and tell me if it falls under warranty or not... gtfoh. read more

Had the salesman come out and recommend system for house. I bought the system he recommended. I had about 6 ppm of iron and system I purchased is supposed to remove 15 ppm of iron. Salesman notified and came out and tested water. System is still allowing 1 ppm into home per the salesman. He called for repair service. Tech responded and failed to fix. I requested to speak with GM but he will not call me back. Guess the customer service is not that important to the GM. read more

My experience with Culligan Water Conditioning Company was not as pleasant or enjoyable as the other reviews I have read about this company. It was a pleasant experience in the beginning when I submitted an inquiry to Culligin. The experience continued to be pleasant with the salesman that showed up. However, I am on disability and could not initiate the service at that time. Three months later I was in the position to further my interest and install the complete water conditioning service. Unfortunately , the original salesman and tech I had spoke with previously was not longer with Culligan any longer. The second salesman I had to deal with acted like he was doing me a favor and had no interest in helping me and needs to buy a personality, have an attitude adjustment and take a course on customer service. I never spoke to the second tech that was suppose to come by my home and look at my situation. I am told by the salesman the down payments and prices have gone up, and was being charged more because I live in a modular home, but yet the water conditioning equipment was going to be installed in a heated garage, just a few feet where the water comes into the house in the crawl space. This was several weeks ago and I have yet to hear back from the salesman at Culligan. My credit is not that could due to my illness, disability, and Im terminally ill. So I expected to pay a reasonable down payment cause of my credit score. However, what is interesting is that my daughter-in-laws grandparents went through Culligan after we had, and they have a 720 credit score and Culligan still needed them to put a large down payment down. Her grandmother told Culligan where to shove it, but her grandfather went behind her grandmothers back and had it done anyway. Furthermore, in the meantime I went to home depot, bought a complete water conditioning system, the same as Culligan with some added items I wanted for over 50% percent cheaper, had the equipment installed, and now own, no down payment, no monthly payments, with complete satisfaction and saved my self a few thousand dollars, and no two years to pay off. So I would not recommend Culligan to anyone especially the Mishawaka/South Bend, Indiana branch. read more

Part of me wanted to give five stars to the service I thought I was receiving and another part of me wanted to give 1 or 2 stars after researching a little bit more which I did not have the time to do so in the beginning. Don't get me wrong we love our RO system it's one of the best on the market but after looking into it a little bit more I found out that 1. I could've gotten it for less 2. I could have gotten what I initially wanted with no extra charge but was told the spout I wanted would cost me $100 more and talked me out of it after they already installed my spout. I don't feel like I was lied to but there is a lack of integrity here. I believe a lot of what the sales person told me was not completely honest. One more thing I would have never known is they connected it to the wrong water line and I actually had to have someone else notice it and point it out to me. They did come out and fix the problem but hadn't I been told this, it could have ruined my RO. Great product but be careful and try to get a second opinion. read more
