This is the coolest coffee shop within 60 mile radius. We stayed in DC for a few days and it was hard work to find coffee as good as Cannon. We hired their coffee cart for cocktail hour at our wedding on 6/24/23 and it was such a hit. Hot drinks, iced drinks, cold brew, it was awesome. The barista was incredibly friendly-- he made sure bride, groom, and parents were well attended to. And the coffee was SO GOOD! I tried a hot Chai tea at Cannon Coffee, and it was delicious! The atmosphere is inviting, and they are located near the square in downtown Hagerstown. I purchased a bottle of locally produced honey (I think it was from Smithsburg, MD?) and a jar of the maple syrup that they had for sale. Both were excellent! Ordered 2 sugar free vanilla decaf iced oat milk latte's as I always do when I go. The first one tasted fabulous. The second one had some sort of bad taste to it, I don't know why. If you're looking for a pretentious wannabe midtown Manhattan cafe vibe place to sit down because you're that person who acts like a coffee connoisseur, then you'll find Cannon Coffee just perfect for you. The prices are ludicrous for what they serve both coffee and nibbles. And yes I said nibbles because what they have does not qualify as food, not for normal people anyway. Back up two sentences and remember that word pretentious, because the food is in that description. A hard boiled egg sliced it into pieces on top of one slice of bread, spread with some kimchi is $9. It will cost you $11 for any one of their smoothie bowls. You cannot go into Cannon and get something to drink and eat for less than $15 bucks. Okay, if you get the $3 bagel and a plain coffee sure you'll be less than 10 bucks, but everything else is over $15. I think the owners have their geography crossed, this is Hagerstown not Manhattan. When Starbucks is a CHEAPER alternative, you know it's expensive. The reason why there's three stars are not one, both the nibbles and beverages taste really good. They're ridiculously expensive, but good. I would suggest they serve more normal people food like an egg and cheese sandwich but I think they may charge $12 for it so nevermind. read more

I'll caveat my five with I only had a chai, which was great. It wasn't to sweet and had a pinch of spice. The space is cozy and they have a small nook in the back that didn't have tables, but I could see them putting one in. The bathroom is in the back--as I have a kid bathrooms are so important! It's big and has a handrail (although not two, but if you need a little extra help, it's good). They also have a changing table for baby. The shop has a very clean look overall and, I don't think it's mentioned on the site, but they're trying to be environmentally friendly (plant based straws, etc.). Their menu looks great--different types of toasts (I'm sure you could find something vegetarian/vegan), they also have different types of milk (almond/oat). It's downtown, so parking is always fun. They have one parking spot designated for pickup, so you can order your items online and quickly pick it up. read more

I enjoy the company as much as I enjoy the coffee! When I walk into Cannon looking forward to my oat milk lattes I feel like we've been friends forever. But let's talk about the coffee!
