Wow, found while Geocaching in the area. A true gem of excellence in customer service and quality of offerings. The place was well lit, bright, airy and very comfortable. In looking over the menu we chose a Cinnamon bun and split a sandwich - Grilled Chipotle Turkey Sandwich & Chips and I ordered a Banana Nut Bread Coffee. First and foremost the coffee was incredible and loaded with flavor. I felt as if I was drinking a piece of banana nut bread! Warm deliciousness that was made quickly and served perfectly. We chose the day old cinnamon bun to give it a try and even at a day old it was soft and flavorful and paired well with the coffee. The Sandwich was cooked to perfection and the chipotle aioli made the entire sandwich come together. The quality of everything we had was spot on, and the relaxing atmosphere paired with excellent customer service makes this a wonderful place to sit down and have a cup of coffee, or grab a bite to eat! Enjoyed a business meeting breakfast at 8:30. I called ahead and the staff reassured me that if they were busy they would reserve a table. The group had bacon and egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches while I enjoyed sausage gravy, a biscuit and a fried egg. The sausage gravy joined the clean plate club. My coffee with cream and sugar was pretty tasty which, they mixed for me. I would have appreciated if they ask how many, but they nailed the ratio. read more

We get there and my fiance orders a shot of espresso for us to share $2.45..charges us $3.25. Expensive..but whatever. Calls out a quad shot... She took our order wrong, but still looked like a normal shot. So who knows what we paid for? Espresso is served in a regular size coffee cup, and no espresso spoon. ‍ Things are going well so far.. The espresso itself tasted good. The crema was nice..the espresso was smooth. It was good! So we proceed to order lattes. The barista questioned my fiance's caffeine intake interrupting her while she was ordering. As I'm actively standing there with the old coffee cup in my hand. .. I got the maple cinnamon latte, my fiance got the pumpkin spice one...she went directly up and asked for something different. The milk literally overpowered everything..it wasn't even sweet like you'd expect it to be..it was just bland hot milk with an essence of pumpkin . So she ordered the Nutella latte..same thing. It was milk with the essence of Nutella. ‍ She didn't drink it. Mine was the same way..but mine at least was sweet milk as it was sweetened with maple syrup. It's disappointing because the espresso is pretty good. So we expected your lattes would be too. The espresso is on the lighter side..it kind of seems like the espresso disappears. I'd say probably try the food..not lattes unless you really enjoy milk. Lots of it. Everyone that was there while we were there only ordered food.. They do have two bathrooms..BOTH are gender neutral! Plenty of merch to browse as well! The two leather chairs are the best seats in the house. New favorite coffee shop in Hagerstown! So so glad this opened. Starting with drinks: highly recommend the cinnamon spice latte. Only a touch of sugar, just the way I like it. The spiced milk is very yummy although quite a bit sweeter. Breakfast: Corn pancakes. What can I say? Go get them now!! You need these in your life! Reasonably priced, small and delicate. Pretty much exactly what I want with my coffee for a light breakfast, and topped with a bit of mango too (although I'd like a bit more). The Gallo Pinto is a must-order as well. Also a fairly small dish but great price for an egg, rice, black beans, onion, peppers, and sour cream. I haven't tried much else yet but I can almost guarantee I'll be back. I was a bit disappointed to see how small the lunch menu is, and limited in vegetarian options (I think the taco salad is all that would work for me). A veggie sandwich option would be fantastic :) I snuck a look at the baked goods which all looked yummy, but I'd love to see a more traditional dessert like perhaps rice pudding or tres leches (two of my favorites, I'd honestly be thrilled if every restaurant ever had them) As you can probably tell at this point, I would highly recommend and hope this place thrives in Hagerstown because it makes a truly quality addition to the coffee/food scene! read more

We stopped by Pura Vida for a quick lunch. Their breakfast menu is from 6a-11 and from 11a they only serve lunch items (& all day items). We arrived a little after 11 so unfortunately we didn't get to try any breakfast items. I tried to order the taco bowl, but the cashier told me they were out of the taco bowl already (although lunch just started). We ended up ordering the quesadilla, turkey sandwich, and cardamom latte instead. The quesadilla portion was incredibly small and only came with cheese and tomatoes?? I was really surprised by the lack of sustenance LOL. Not to mention it was super bland and dry. It came with a side of sour cream but honestly we stopped after the first bite. The turkey sandwich was huge however, and came with provolone cheese and some tomatoes. It was much better in terms of flavor and portion. The latte was good, but could've used some additional cardamom flavor. I really want to give this place another try (so many good reviews) but with the limited menu and today's experience I'm a little hesitant. read more

On a mini road trip this weekend and found this gem! Great vibe, kind faces, really really good coffee. I got a Chai Latte and added a shot of espresso. My husband got an Americano. We are very picky about our warm beverages (but in a passionate way, not like a yuppie way) and we are big fans of this place! I would 100% make a detour to come here again. Breakfast menu was short, but contained all the essentials- eggs, pancake, pastries, coffee (including speciality coffees) and best of all, Gallo Pinto! Gallo pinto was a delicious dish of beans & rice, accompanied by scrambled eggs and sour cream. Or order the Gallo Pinto meal, which added bacon and a tortilla. We both cleaned our plates! Then we shared one of the house-made cinnamon rolls, which was delicious as well. My new favorite coffee spot! This is a renovated old house that is now a coffee shop, but has a wonderful home feel atmosphere. Costa Rican coffee, decorated, and bought tables and chairs. What a great place to stop for a coffee and some food when you're traveling on 81. It is four minutes off the highway with zero traffic or traffic lights. I had the egg sandwich and a 16oz cinnamon spice latte for a total of about $10. The egg sandwich was a lot, and I felt that the interior of the sandwich got lost in the biscuit which was humongous. The crispness of the potato and the bacon also kind of blended together. The gooey cheese and the tomato helped add some contrast, as did the wonderful runny egg, but overall I still felt it was too much. After eating it I was also covered for lunch since I was completely full until dinner. The cinnamon spice latte was great. I usually think of the Starbucks cinnamon dolce syrup when I think of a cinnamon latte, but I find that way too sweet. This had a hint of sweetness but the cinnamon and spice really came through. There was a nice selection of baked goods and the sandwich menu looked good as well. I will definitely stop by again if my travels and the needs of my stomach line up, though I will probably skip the egg sandwich next time. read more
