This is a gorgeous spot, right in the center of Berkeley Springs. You'll find spacious seating along with local artwork inside. When it comes to their menu, it's truly extensive. You'll find some great coffee and tea options, delicious food, including great bagel options. My kids liked the regular bagels topped with peanut butter. I ended up getting an everything bagel, topped with cream cheese and tomato. My husband of course got the BLT bagel, which was an everything bagel with bagel, lettuce, and cheese. If I wanted to be accurate, I think I would probably give this place a 3.5/5 because I feel like it lands somewhere between 3 and 4 between the food and coffee. I had a cup of iced coffee and it was fine. Nothing crazy there. The sandwiches were on the pricier end for the most part landing in the mid 10s. Given the price, I had higher expectations and was slightly disappointed by what came out. The panini came out on the saltier side and the toppings were a bit underwhelming. Service was nice. It's a local coffee shop with lots of signs indicating inclusivity (it was also Pride month at the time of the visit). As far as accessibility goes, it wasn't the most accessible location by any means. There's a flight of steps (4-5 steps) with no other way in as far as I can tell. I was looking for a place to grab a coffee after walking around the charming and quaint town of Berkeley Springs recently and I saw this place while across the street at the actual springs. I'm a cafe and coffee shop type of guy and I've been to a lot of cool ones all across the United States over the years so whenever I'm in a new town I always try to hit up their cafes. It looked to be a cute little coffee shop from the exterior but when we walked in the vibes were just off. I don't know why in certain but they just were. No Hello, No Smiles, No Welcome, No Nothing! Just some sour faces working and what seemed to be several angry and off kilter customers inside. So I looked over the menu on the wall and my girlfriend ordered me an iced coffee while I went to use the restroom. There was a line so I waited for about 5 minutes. I used the restroom and then came out to my girlfriend fixing up my iced coffee at the little addition station they have in between both sides of the building. After that we sat down at one of the tables and talked while I drank my iced coffee but we were both like WTH is wrong with all of these people they are all so pissed off and acting strange. Like I said previously, Weird vibes! Anyways, the coffee was solid so they get 1 star for that and 1 star for the aesthetics of the interior and exterior of the building. This is a cute little place in the heart of Berkley Springs. Very eclectic with kindhearted staff. Not much place to sit inside or outside so I would suggest getting a drink and food to go. The prices are very reasonable and the selections are varied. My only concern was the wait time was really long. Other than that I would definilty come back when we're in the area. read more

The employees were friendly and efficient, the coffee was good and served up fast, and the food was decent. The biscuits were big but a bit dry and crumbly. While the messaging foreshadows a positive energy, the selfish customers suck that right out of the air. As I sat down to enjoy my breakfast on Monday, the lady at the table next to me was joining a virtual call over her speaker phone where the first words were "the g@ddam@ed right-winged Magaheads...." Sounds like hate to me. Luckily I was able to move to a different room! This is the second time I've had to move seats in the 3 times I have been here this past weekend. The other day I went to sit down and a man was playing his YouTube videos over his speaker. The only complaint I have about this place is the patrons' lack of respect for other customers. The food is unique, fresh, and delicious. The workers are very nice and the place has a groovy ambiance. There are fun/uplifting gifts and a focus on sustainability and kindness. They can't do anything to control who visits, but I wish they would put up a sign that encouraged the use of ear phones. I'll be defaulting to the high tops at the entrance from now on, and if that doesn't work, I'll just get my food to go. My first stop in Berkeley Springs! I was drawn to this cafe because of the gluten free quiche option. They also have a gluten free and vegan cupcake. The cafe is adorable. I love that there are so many community resources for the people who live here, it's super clean, and the people who work here are so nice. I love that they support fair wages! The food came out quickly and it was nice and hot. The food was good and fresh but not anything to write home about. The portions are small for the price but I was happy to support a local business doing good work for the community! Would come back again if I was in town. read more

This is great cafe that adds a lot to downtown Berkeley Springs. It is in the heart of downtown close to everything. They have a ton of coffee options--something for everyone. They also have a pretty large food menu, which caught me by surprise. The menu has options for every diet. My sister got the avocado toast and said it was some of the best she's ever had. They also had several baked goods, including gluten free option. You order everything at a counter and seat yourself. There aren't too many tables inside, but we didn't have a problem seating our family of 5. There is no waitstaff at the table, but silverware, etc. is readily available. The tables are also separated by plastic panels for COVID safety. On this note, this place still requires masks. This was a little odd because no other places in the town seemed to require this, but I don't object to places taking additional COVID precautionary measures. read more

The entrance is not clearly marked, but it is on the left side of the stoop. They have two outside tables, and 6 tables on the inside. They are very COVID-19 concious, as they have plastic barriers between the tables that are not 6 feet apart. Now for the ordering and food experience. Ordering was simple, as they have signs to gide you. You pay for your food when you order and they bring it to your table. A small plate of avacado toast and large coffee was $12.50. As I mentioned before, the avacado toast was on a small paper plate that held the small $9.00 portion well. The taste was sort of bland, as it seemed like they did not use any seasoning in the cooking process, but it was edible, which is an important part of the eating process, in my opinion anyway. We come to Berkeley Springs every year and always look forward to our morning coffee and experience at the shop. Unfortunately, our visits on 8/5/24 and 8/6/24 were marred by an extremely unpleasant experience with the cashier on 8/6 around 11:15 AM. From the start, we were never greeted and had to wait an unusually long time while the cashier dug through her purse before helping us. My toddler was excited to get an apple juice, so he placed it on the counter, but it rolled under the screen. The cashier aggressively rolled it back and seemed annoyed. That should have been our first indication to leave. After ordering our coffees, my toddler went to press a button on the counter, and the cashier snatched it from under his hand and screamed at him not to touch it. My son was being quiet and gentle, so this reaction was entirely uncalled for. Despite wanting to leave at this point, we had already paid $18.50 for two coffees and an apple juice. The cashier's lack of training and experience was evident as she upset my son by yelling at him. After ringing us up, she walked away, shaking her head, grabbed another employee to assist with making the coffee, and went back to digging through her purse. My spouse asked to speak with the manager to report the incident. As my spouse was explaining the situation, the cashier laughed, shook her head, and denied everything. Neither the cashier nor the manager wore name tags, making it difficult to reference their names. The manager could have at least apologized or addressed the cashier's behavior, but nothing was done. To top it off, we both asked for oat milk and received whole milk, so they had to remake our beverages. What a waste of $18 and a lousy experience. We will never bring our family back after such an embarrassing incident. read more
