I provided documentation supporting the factual statements in my review, yet it was still removed based on a technical eligibility determination, not because my experience was found to be untrue. Based on the platform's published review policies and the timeline of my case, I believe the review was removed in error. In my opinion, this is another example of WEC choosing to challenge customer criticism rather than take accountability. It only reinforces the lack of professionalism we experienced throughout our wedding planning process. I stand by every word of my original review and hope other couples will carefully consider our experience when choosing a wedding venue. - original review- Brides and grooms, beware. My fiancé and I signed a contract with the World Equestrian Center in December 2023 for our wedding ceremony in the Chapel and our reception on the Stirrups Terrace. We were thrilled, believing we had secured our dream wedding. However, just 41 days before our big day, I discovered on WEC's website that they were hosting a Grand Prix event in the main arena and selling tickets for a dining experience on the Stirrups Terrace where our dream reception was to take place. Learning about this significant change online, rather than through our WEC representative, highlights their unprofessionalism--unacceptable for a venue of this caliber. When we confronted WEC, they admitted to being aware of the conflict but insisted we relocate our reception to another area. All that was offered to my fiancé and I for this massive inconvenience was a 40 x 40 tent for 74 guests. Since we were unwilling to move our reception to a new location, WEC cancelled our contract with 37 days to go before our wedding date. They also refused to mass cancel our room block so my fiancé and I had to contact every guest that booked at the hotel to call and cancel. This breach of contract has utterly ruined our wedding day. It feels like a blatant bait-and-switch, driven by greed; they clearly prioritize making money over honoring commitments to their clients. They will toss aside your wedding contract if a better offer comes along. I strongly advise prospective couples to consider other options before trusting the World Equestrian Center with such an important occasion.

Sponsored by the Master Gardeners, this was the 22nd year of the county's Spring Festival. The name…read moresays it all as it celebrates all things related to spring....plants, garden accessories, classes & seeds. This was the 2nd year they added food trucks so you can shop, eat, & shop some more. You actually need to be recharged because this festival is huge and you need the entire day (or two) to see everything. Vendors come for the most part from out of town so this may be the only opportunity to purchase a plant that you wouldn't otherwise see in town. There are so many varieties of plants some which are trees, orchids, herbs, succulents, roses, ferns, bromeliads & bonsais. Parking is never a problem as the police are there to direct you where to go in the huge lot. If you've over purchased and are not sure you can carry your goodies out to your car the 4H club is always there to help. They're pull it all in a wagon to a special pick up area where you can just drive up and they'll load it in your vehicle for you. I've always admired this service organization and it's a great way for them to get involved. Don't forget to tip these hard working volunteers for helping you out. A tip from this longtime attendee is to know the out of town vendors and stay in touch with them. That way if there's something you're looking for that you can't find here you can contact them in advance and see if they can bring it for you to purchase.

While discovering all about the Silver Spring you can enjoy a multitude of fun. For 2 days there are musicians playing mostly blue grass at the mansion stage as well as the dock stage. This year there were 40 vendors selling a wide variety merchandise. Movies and exhibits are always fun and educational. New this year were beautiful mermaids in a cute indoor setting where children can have there photo taken with them. It's surely to return next year as it was a huge hit. Auctions of one of a kind art run both days and there's always a signing of a celebrity of some sort. The most popular event are the famous glass bottom boats. It's your only chance to ride one for only 1/2 price!

Rows and rows of vendors selling their wares was over whelming. Interspersed were some amazing food vendors making everything you could imagine. Even though most people weren't watching, the live bands were very good. A car show, pet contest, pie eating contest and expensive kiddie rides rounded out the activities. Strawberries? Flats of strawberries could be preordered and picked up at the festival. That was it. No other strawberries or strawberry related items. Bottled water? Couldn't find it sold anywhere. I'm thinking it may be hanging out with the strawberry items that weren't there. :(

The elder Cottoms were Santa and Mrs. Claus and sat at the entrance to their property and visited with the children. Each year the family has added something new. It is a real treat and if you haven't been, put it on your holiday to do list this year.

Cottom Farm's Xmas Village is one of a kind. This Xmas village came under my radar about a year…read moreago. I believe I had seen it on tv for some type of Xmas special. When you come here, there is an area with a little village and small little decorated cottages and once you are ready, you can take the hayride that takes you around the property to see the outside Xmas lights. They take you to Santa and Mrs. Claus house and you are able to tour the down stairs of the houses you are able to see their Master Bedroom and bathroom, their living room, kitchen, and another room. You are able to take pics with Santa and Mrs. Claus. When you are finished you can go in the back and get hot chocolate and Xmas cookies and cupcake. It's a really good deal and a great experience. Once you are finished at the house, you will take the hayride back and see the rest of the outside Xmas lights. It's really beautiful and the outside Xmas lights are around their lake. What a cool experience!!! It's worth the drive! Afterwards, and before hand you will feel like you are all by yourself in the country but make your way to the Lady Lake Chamber of Commerce to continue your Xmas spirit on with their Xmas light display!

They had tiny flint points to a towering mammoth skeleton and everything in between. And megladons! I was surprised how heavy the cannonball was and how the soft raccoon fur felt. They also have friendly and very knowledgeable volunteers that made the canoe exhibit come to life. Shout out to Sandy for sharing part of her day and let us have even more fun at the museum. Ok, now get the next angle! We wanted a cool place to beat the heat on a Saturday afternoon and we ended up learning, laughing and enjoying each other's company. Enchanted Oaks owners have been informed of the noise disturbances and apparently, cannot monitor volume levels from the music. While your wedding might indeed be beautiful, remember that folks across the fence can easily view the trailers and buildings and we often hear every note of your play list! Perhaps if the DJs were reminded to keep decibels down, we all could be happy. And despite this complaint, we do wish every couple a lifetime of happiness.

I'm not someone who typically posts reviews--especially negative ones--but I feel it's important to be transparent about our experience to hopefully save someone else from the stress we went through. If you're considering using the owner's "day-of coordinator" service for an extra $700, don't waste your time, money, or sanity. I highly recommend hiring a professional coordinator from another company who will actually fulfill the responsibilities of a day-of coordinator. Here are just a few reasons why we were extremely upset with the owner's services: The day before the wedding, my husband and his groomsmen had to bring their own equipment and climb onto the venue's roof to blow off leaves because the owner refused to do it. They also had to use a ladder in the reception area to remove three old strands of random foliage from the ceiling--leftovers from someone else's decorations--that the owner had been asked to remove by previous brides but never did. On the wedding day, my family, bridesmaids, and groomsmen were all out setting up decorations and helping prepare the venue because the coordinator seemed overwhelmed and behind schedule. They even had to set up our cloth arch for the ceremony without any help from her. I personally had to dig a trench on the morning of my wedding to bury an extension cord for the fountain in the pond--because the owner refused to fix or address the issue the day before, even after being asked. That's not something any bride should be doing on her wedding day. During dinner, none of the champagne glasses were filled for the toasts. Despite both my husband and I telling the coordinator multiple times that we had boxes of champagne and that she would be responsible for pouring it, she did nothing. Instead, my bridesmaids had to step in and pour the drinks while the coordinator just sat there. Similarly, three tables had no cups or silverware. Guests were coming up to me asking where they could get utensils after already receiving their food. Again, my bridesmaids had to find and distribute the missing items while the coordinator was at the bar drinking our specialty cocktails and sitting by the fire--completely ignoring the issues. Our send-off at the end of the night? Completely ruined. We planned a bubble exit, but as we were walking out, the coordinator abruptly turned off all the venue lights without warning, leaving us in the dark mid-exit. These were photos we had planned and looked forward to, and they were ruined. Guests had to use their phone flashlights so we could recreate the moment. This was especially frustrating because we were staying on the property that night with our family and bridal party, and we were on schedule with the 10 PM guest departure time--there was absolutely no reason for her to cut the lights. To top it all off, the coordinator took multiple boxes of our leftover wedding food for herself, her child, and her boyfriend--without our permission.
