What an experience! Visited mid-May for the Blueberries, blackberries, peaches and wildflowers. Go…read moreearly am opening at 9am when the summer air still has a cool breeze or late evening. Spent 2 hours leisurely picking. So much fun and so relaxing as you gingerly touch and look at fruit opportunities to pick. First time and will be back with each season. The website informs pickers of the possibilities based on the season. Farm is maintained and so inviting! A water hand washing station on site. TRAVIS, a family member of the 105 year old farm property is onsite to explain all. He just won a national award as Community College Professor of The Year teaching agriculture. He takes great pride in this small family-owned farm which is a must to do in the Ocala- Gainesville area,

No pesticides allows you to try it directly from the vine. The owners are so nice and informative. I didn't know what to expect but she waved me in and gave me the run down. Once I had enough blackberries to make a big crumble I headed back to the check out. After that I headed back out with a cup to pick the most amazing flowers. She challenged me to fill the entire cup and it was $10 for as many as I could fit it it. These flowers were just gorgeous as you can see from the pictures. I also grabbed a bag of okra after asking how to make fried okra. She happily told me how she makes hers with an egg wash, cornmeal, flour, garlic salt, onion salt and pepper. Such a friendly place for everyone. I highly recommend!

You have to drink it fast or get it straight to refrigeration so as to avoid botulism. It's worth it. Best OJ you will ever have. I'm also a big fan of the honeys and jams. They are only open seasonal, so get it while the getting is good. With that being said, I have to say my last stop here was somewhat unpleasant. I came in the store, so happy to be there, and was greeted by two people behind the counter. One was a younger woman, wearing a shirt that said she had an allergy to mornings. Lol. She smiled and was kind. However her counterpart was an older woman who treated me like I had done her wrong. It was so obvious that she didn't want to be there, or didn't want me to be there, that when we left, my boyfriend asked "Did you try to flirt with her husband or something?" I understand that life happens and we can't always be in a good mood, but as a former retailer her demeanor was unacceptable. The store would have been better off without her in it. (I suspect she is part ownership.) This is why I give 3 instead of 5 stars. If it wasn't for the OJ and the other staff member, I would have given them 1 star.
