We stopped in Sunday, Mother's Day for the live music. What a surprise, there's a garage door and it was wide open! It has been YEARS since I first stopped in so this was like a new experience to me. I was pleasantly surprised w all the seating and the size of the space. There were several little patio tables and seating along the sidewalk too! The acoustics in the winery wee great w the musician set up in he NW corner on a cote sage edged in....flagstone(?). I didn't imbibe while there but the two people I was with appreciated that there were other offerings than wine. They both opted for a 16oz Michelob Golden Draft Light. Our server was attentive as we snatched an open table as soon as people left. The bartender came by to take our order, to clean our table and take away all their plates. Thanks. To the left when you came in the garage door was a whole variety of merch...who knew?! Beyond that were all the wine making tanks and vessels! Parking was a little tricky on Sunday due to the event but w made it work. Thanks Cannon River for hosting a Mother's Day event, we had a good time and will be sure to keep an eye on your future events! I definitely suspect I will be back to peruse merch and pick up a Feisty Bitch shirt. Cheers!

We had a lovely midafternoon Sunday stop here to try out the token flight and enjoy some food. The place was busy, but the service was fantastic. We enjoyed all of the wines that we tried, which came as a pleasant surprise, and even bought two bottles to take home. We also had the Lady Gaga garlic cheese bread naan and the Stevie Nicks chicken pesto pizza; there was a bit of a wait for the food, because the place was indeed busy, but what came out was absolutely delicious. We're already talking about doing another trip here to try more wines!

The patio mural was gorgeous and it was what immediately caught our eye. We were passing through and we had to take advantage of the beautiful weather. I like wine but not well versed so it was great that they listed from dry to sweet, and had all the flavors and notes in the description. We tried a flight and a glass of sparkle edelweiss. We both had flatbreads. You order at the counter and they give you a buzzer for when it is ready and you pick it up. It was all great food and wine. I just knocked a star down because there wasn't much for vegetarian options which was a bit of a bummer. We did enjoy it all though!

We stopped here on our way to southern Minnesota. We had never been, but have seen the sign on the highway a million times and figured it was time to give it a try. The ambience is warm and welcoming. We were quickly greeted and walked through the various options, depending on our taste preferences. We each opted to try a flight and ordered a charcuterie board. The wines were very nice. Funny enough, we don't usually agree on a favorite, but we both decided that the Gunflint Pinot Gris was the best. While the charcuterie board was good, I didn't love how the only carb option was a warm naan bread. It's hard to spread Brie on, and didn't pair well with all of the options we chose. I was wishing for some cracker varieties instead.

    Wine taster-3 wines for $10

Visited on 10/5/22. This place is fun, pure and simple. Parking was easy, as it had a giant lot next to it. There was a fun event going on at the same time for the deer opener beginning this weekend so it was pretty busy and a cover band was playing. We were able to find a table fairly easily and were served within a few minutes. My sister and I each got flights/tasters of wine while my mom stuck with a glass. The three tasters were $10 altogether which felt like a great value for the amount you got. We also got the spice girls dip platter which was fun and we loved how the menu suggested pairings for the food with different wines. Overall I would be happy to come here again and would love to try it out in the summer.

    Harvesting experience!

In Fall of 2018- I attended one of their Fall Harvest Event and loved the whole experience. The harvest leader was very knowledgeable about the grapes and the process they took to become wine. Loved spending a Saturday afternoon with my closest friends getting good exercise and then drinking delish wine and food. I was most surprised by the quality of the food they served us- creamy pasta and delicious sides. Currently costs $25- which is a steal because the memories and food I had far exceed that cost! Hope to get back for the Fall 2021 Harvest.

This fall, we visited the Cannon River Winery after golfing at the Cannon Golf Club. I like this winery very much. The service was helpful and knowledgeable about the wine. I decided on a bottle of Feisty Bitch rose. This week I popped the cork. It was very nice. Light, feisty, smooth...and as the bottle says, 'bitch less. Wine more'. The winery is an old brick building with lots of character. There was a live band playing and the place was packed. The upstairs was set up for a wedding which added to the crowd (I peeked at the set up, it was beautiful). We sat on a table on the sidewalk outside to enjoy the late afternoon. I ordered a glass of red but was tempted to try a flight to get a taste of several wines. My only ask would be if they could get a few items on a menu, even a cheese and cracker tray. Some food is available in a refrigerator but not the same as a small menu.

Fun little day trip with my husband, and we stopped along the way at this winery. It was nestled downtown in a beautiful building. We did a quick tasting, and the lady who helped us was very knowledgeable about the different wines. We liked quite a few of them, and ended up buying a bottle to take home.

Fun place to visit and taste wine. They have flights available so you can taste more then one. Great staff and food, worth a visit for sure. Try the sparking edelweiss you won't be disappointed.

This was the perfect stop for a nice fall afternoon in Cannon Falls. There is a great Bike trail (peddle not Harley although this is a great area for that as well) that begins and ends in Cannon Falls and after a little exploring we stumble in the doors of this place. What a find, great welcoming group of very knowledgeable people when it comes to the wines they make and this wonderful liquid in general. They have different set-ups for tastings of all the wines that they make there and all very reasonable in price. They have plenty of room, tours and great hospitality...add to that the German guy playing drinking songs and its a good time. They have a wide range of wines for many tastes. For my taste they only had a couple of reds that I really loved but they did have a couple and it was such a great time with such great service I will stop in again. Great thing to do while venturing out from the city for a nice fall afternoon! KT

This latest wine pick-up party was held at their vineyard. They bused us all over to the vineyard from the winery, they had 3 buses going to and fro. Mask were required. They signed people in outside with a line that had social distancing, which was appreciated. They didn't cram the buses full and left plenty of seats open for distancing. This was our first time seeing the vineyard and it was in a nice location, not far from the winery. They let us walk around and see the grapes, they were just turning from green to purple so they were a bit tart. They had Nick's Diner cater food in for this event. It was walking tacos and they also had some wine tasting out there for the club members. We had the option of buying a bottle of wine at the Winery before being bused out there, so that is what we did. The walking tacos was the best food set-up so far since we have been members. They had the event out here to have more space to social distance. We enjoyed ourselves and signed up for the wine picking this year! I hear it is a good time! They also have events out here. Contact them for more details on that.

My first impression of the property is that it is beautiful. They did a nice job with the property. The outdoor vineyard and wedding area is also quite lovely. The property was clean, restrooms clean, nice outdoor patio for dining. For the wine tasting, our hostess did a nice job explaining the various wines as we moved through the tasting menu. I didn't catch her name but she was very nice. We also briefly met Matt who was also very friendly. I felt the majority of wines were more on the sweet side, however, there were definitely several that leaned dry. I would t necessarily call any of them "full bodied". For Wisconsin wines, these were actually pretty good. The pours were generous compared to pours you may receive when tasting in Napa, Sonoma or Paso Robles so well worth the price. I would recommend stopping in and visiting Villa Belleza!

It is a Frontenac grape and wasn't really a port, but it was dry and slightly more full bodied than anything else we sampled. Not really worth taking a bottle home. All the other wines tasted watered down and honestly, I don't think I've ever been to a winery (or anywhere that served wine) where it was served in plastic cups. All the flavors were pretty flat without much aroma and no finish. A few had a bitter taste. The deluxe cheese and crackers were pretty basic and not really worth ordering. The wines were such a bummer- which should be the reason you visit a winery.

I don't think it was worth $19 but if I'm paying for convenience, I get it. Just let your customers know that it's cherry tomatoes and not heirloom tomatoes when they are ordering. This is how the menu item reads: Thick slices of heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil, and torn mozzarella on top of greens, dressed with balsamic glaze.
